Thanks for playing! After this jam I totally just ignored all things game dev lol I was so burnt out but the motivation is returning.
Yeah the end is empty sadly lol but I was hoping for it to be a battle tower against trainers.
glad you like it! I did think about making the hitbox smaller but never actually did it another comment mentioned doing a polygon which next time ill def be seeing if i can make it work properly. if I had the whole month I would have done more game but sadly I did not I think for what it is it works pretty well.
wow I'm glad you like the art never done it before but spent hours on it! And yeah if I had of started out at the beginning of the month solo and not had the team issue the game would have been larger and Timmy would have swam up and down between more levels. As for the shark ive been hesitant to use the polygon because in a previous jam it caused issues with detecting collision since it thought each part of the poly was its own collision shape perhaps I'll give it another go!!! yeah we didn't really plan/have time to fill the spaces with stuff other than the main game play stuff, glad you liked the environments, we had to scale everything up to make the player feel smaller lol I was convinced the player was 2m tall until i checked...... yikes... #1 are you on windows 11? because that is part of the known issues section otherwise weird, if we continue dev we will 100% look into this.
#2 yeahhhh..... wasn't MY design but i did at the rocks at the bottom to make it 100x easier walking up that slope without them is a 0/10
#3 there was a redesign of the air level and a sacrifice of that was the clear path...
#4 the Beacon SHOULD have glowed blue kinda like the ones in the air and water levels minus the "shields"
also the main design was any room can be done first but that didn't feel fun since we couldn't add more content so we made the choice wind and water should be done before earth and 1000% before the sun/fire level.
Thanks for pushing through and playing and leaving a review! the fire/sun level with the blades is by far our most fun level in my opinion.
100% valid complaints I also have lol, we couldn't find a text that looked decent in time so we just kept it, and last second we did toss in the name of the game our artist went to sleep long before we decided on a name it happens. And as for the walking sim bit thats just how it ended up wasn't intended. Thanks for the feedback and playing our game!!! (Also yes the hand clips through walls lmao)
great game! knew what i was supposed to do pretty much right off the bat. I did walk into one room before the combat area and i couldn't walk in all the way so i turned around and left lol. spawning slimes is fun! probably should of read the combo bit below the game i just kept spamming and seemed to work out! also the fact i can push a slime into the enemies is goofy not sure if intended but a silly little thing. The music is top tier and fits the vibe the art style is awesome same goes for the animations!!! id play this as a steam game tbh. Also as a WASD user using arrow keys was painful for my brain lol while doing QWERTY for slime summons but still was fun would play again and prob will!
yeah if we had more time im sure the hand would have been better but we did what we could in the time we had. and i agree on the falling and dying puzzles i wanted to make cool puzzles but have them be super easy to start and i think the ones we had did just that but did all involve falling and dying besides the tree/earth level which i thought was a more unique puzzle and was more of what i wanted to do. If we keep developing it we for sure would fix a ton of things. Thanks for your in depth review!!!
didnt really know what to do until i entered the portal and then it was kinda just spam left and right click to win although very cool game then the room 1 boss SHEEESH that was actually something then room 2 wave 2 i got swarmed and died not sure how until they actually got close to me and didnt walk into any gas clouds my HP just started dropping and the +1 hp a sec items didnt seem to actually work. Was actually fun tho maybe lower music volume by like a few DB otherwise good game tbh
Edit: oh also not sure why a random shadow capsule was following me it also got stuck on the chest hitbox which was nice so he got out of my way lol
