This guy has an alternative way of getting the same effect. Might be worth checking out to.

To summarize the video though:

Create a Render Texture (right click in Assets > Create > Render Texture)

Change the size of the Render Texture to 64x64 (or whichever resolution you want)

Apply the texture to your Camera

Create a Raw Image UI element (GameObject > UI > Raw Image)

Resize the Raw Image to fit the whole canvas

Apply the texture to the raw image.

Does the game meet the criteria if theres never more than 64x64 pixels on screen? We want to use a smooth panning camera, which would mean pixels would get cut off at the sides. That would technically mean that a majority of the time there'd be more than 64x64 pixels visible, but the extra pixels would be cut in half, so the total surface would be the same.

So basically, can we use a normal camera, or do we need to use a filter that pixelates the game, even if we only use pixelart?

Cool game, vfx are on point! Not a huge fan of the controls though. The circular gravity makes for kinda clunky controls, and I more often than not died from lsing control of my ship rather than from an enemy. Maybe you could tune the controls so that vertical and horizontal axis aren't affected by the rotation of the plane?

Had a lot of trouble understanding the objective. It's not very clear what the berries are for, or when you drop them, and I only got it once I accidentally dropped a berry near the bird pole thing..

The art style, home screen and music are on point though!

The game's pretty fun! Didn't make it past lvl 6 though, not enough of a gamer I guess.

The use of dashing for top-down movement feels nice and more interactive than typical top down movement. The game feels a bit too bullet hellish (maybe tone down the turret firerate) and the grenades could do with a bit more bounce, so you can throw them around corners and such.

Nice work!
