Thank you for your feedback! I was thinking of adding a ghost like figure or something showing you how to do the roll thing but decided to work on more important things due to the limited time. I’m glad that you enjoyed the power trip at the end^^

I enjoyed the starting cutscene quite a bit, I also like how the player grows over time becoming more powerful. However the game starts to feel a little boring after a while and the gene mutations take a bit too long to roll in my opinion. Overall good job though!

That was that you "cheated" was actually a intended way to beat the level, there are many things I added into the game that I didn't directly talk about in the game, I did this to give the player a sense of feeling clever or as they took advantage of my script even if they didn't.

Thank you for playing, I’m glad you enjoyed it! I was actually going to add the different numbered dice at first, but since the game is called, “5 Dice” I just made every dice a “5 dice”.

Good concept but it just felt like a standard platformer. Even though the art is from an asset pack I like how you used it! I would make the death a little less dramatic it felt really slow to restart, and I would change the jump to space and make the restart a different key. When I played at the start and thought space was jump and WASD was to move I was very confused when I died whenever I "jumped."

Cool idea just needs some work, I noticed that sometimes when you only roll a 2 or something the level is impossible to beat, also the camera should be zoomed out a little more.

Recommendations:

  • Let the player choose how zoomed in the camera is.
  • Have the music continue to play when you progress through levels instead of restarting the song again
  • You could try having the enemies use actual attacks instead of just running into you
  • Make the heath UI look a little more interesting (ex. Animated Heart by the left side of it)

I really enjoyed the game overall! Shooting the archers was my favorite part of the game, though I question how dice can shoot a cannon. I just wish some the art and music was original.

Great game! I enjoyed how the ammo changes based on the dice, It was quite satisfying whenever I got 5 ammo! However the game doesn't really change in difficulty and there is no real objective.

Recommendations:

  •   Add a score system to the game
  • increase enemy spawn rates as time goes on

Interesting concept, but the dice moves a little bit to fast making it quite floaty and hard to control.  Also with the lose screen I noticed that when the game is full screen the UI shifts to the top left of the screen. Good game but needs some work.

Recommendations for the future:

  • Slow down the dice movement speed
  • On the first level don't have the dice start rolling off the book till the player makes at least one input
  • Have your UI scale with the players screen size

I loved the graphics of the game! However I only got "Roll 15 times" as my mission and after rolling quite alot I didn't understand how exactly to win the game.

I'm glad you enjoyed the game! With the theme I just took it quite literally and had you roll onto dice.

I like the mechanic of the game however I wish there was a way to make the enemy turns go faster, also the lack of music made the game feel a little dry. I loved the upgrade mechanic though!

I'm glad you enjoyed the music! Once the jam is done i'll take a look at the controls, I agree that they are a little hard to control.

Thank you for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed you enjoyed the game!

I made the last few levels hard on purpose as a challenge for the players that made it that far. But I agree that most game jam games including this one have that problem.

I agree the player did need more height, I thought stacking dice would make up for it though. Also I'm glad you enjoyed the dice!

I found the physics funny while play testing.

I'm glad to hear it! Also yes I definitely needed to work on the dice some more.

I found the dice attacking me to be quite interesting. I only got a score of 500 or so but it was a decent experience overall!

I had celeste in mind as I was making this, and yes I should had, when I was making later levels at times I forgot it was a game about dice.

I never thought of it as "flying" but yes. It is suppose to be the character jumping off the dice and was an intended feature shown in later levels (if you got that far).

I played up till the game switches into 3D. Most of the puzzles I figured out quite easily besides the "talking about me" puzzle which took me sometime. I think it is an interesting dynamic having insecure thoughts as a puzzle. I would keep in mind, people who haven't been at least a decent amount insecure in the past may struggle to figure these puzzles out (hence the other comments).

Bugs I noticed while playing:

  • Sometimes when blocks turn green they proceed to flash from purple to green
  • in your house the mouse flickers being toggled on and off.

Recommendations:

  • Have (Enter) and/or (Space) be able to select things, it doesn't feel natural selecting with the mouse when the cursor is toggled off
  • Since you use Unity change the rotating speed of the blocks to "time.DeltaTime" so they don't change speed based on the framerate
  • Make it more apparent what the hint block does, it took a while to figure out how to use it

Reminded me of a action comic book, I love how it is about trying to avoid a talk in a relationship

I liked the graphics but the characters jump felt a little bit buggy, I thought the monster was a creative idea with the blocks, but the fake player felt a little off and I think it would be more fun without one. Overall great game and concept though!

The walking sound was just me making a strange noise into my mic so I can see why that would be annoying, the bgm took quite awhile to make so thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

I originally had clear indicators but they were very buggy and since I only had a week I didn't have enough time to fix it. But thank you for your support^^

I really liked the concept and it was a great puzzle-platformer! The game could use some better art/music though, but nice job!

I liked the concept of buying click bait and bots for subscribers and views, though the game got a bit boring after clicking for over 2 minutes.

The objective of the game wasn't really made very clear, I recommend in the future adding some sort of tutorial level, but I started laughing when I saw one of the birds in the bottom not have a head.

The physics of the player feel way to slippery and hard to control, it kind of reminds me of super meat boy. The ending was quite irritating after spending 15+ minutes making to the end one time but overall gave me a good laugh!

This game looks very impressive for just a week, I love the classic rpg vibes of the game! I don't know how exactly this game fits the theme since your explanation was quite vague but overall I had lots of fun playing it!

That may take some time, I will create one when I get the chance!

Great little puzzle game couldn't make it past level 3 but GREATWORK!!!!! Loved the art style and the polish put into the game

alright game maybe add some boss music when the boss spawns the boss is fun but needs a separate soundtrack

Thanks for the feedback I made the game with speedrunning in mind as for the tutorial it is saying that if you dash on the ground you get momentum and also the tutorial is trying to say you can clip on the corner of a platform to also get momentum I had no clue how to show that and it caused confusion for many  people.

I loved how you played my game but I just realized you made into the blizzard which I rated all 5 stars right as you summited it!!

thanks for playing I left a comment on your yt :)

I'm AMAZED that you made this in one week I'm giving everything 5 stars and the sound 4 since cutting the tree was really loud but this put a big smile on my face as I ran around as Puggo through this island

Great visuals the controls feel a bit unresponsive but otherwise decent job (In the future I would add coyote time to make the jump feel better)
