watching this was SO fun thank you so muuuuch! ♡

when programming I decided to choose between a guide and achievement checklist but I guess there was no reason not to put in both, I'll keep that in mind - thanks again! :D

if you told me a year ago my work would be featured under 'disturbing themes/gore', I would have been very skeptical. thanks for the mention!

suggesting phantasmiac for psychological horror and uhh i'm not actually sure which horror catfish in disguise is. is it disturbing enough for that category

Phantasmiac

Catfish In Disguise

... i did not expect fe3h references. i'm not crazy, right? then the blue cat answer should be obvious...

all the sprites are super cute!

10/10 this is fantastic? got me curious about the folklore in the most interesting way possible?

also all of the vas did fantastic job - the mc sounds perfect for their profession/personality combo - buuuut i have to mention jack as a personal favorite because man. yeah.

did end up needing the hints but the payoff was Good. great work!

-spoilers-

'when i was 7 i had a crush on a girl in my class & didnt know how to deal w it so I wrote her a letter that just said "get out of my school"' but witch burnings. fun!

the animation of the move screen cracks me up every time. man i need to do animations again

scrolling through long descriptions of some evidence (notebook) is nigh impossible with my broken mouse wheel. hope where wasn't anything important?

yup sure does give me flashbacks to playing drv3 with my siblings

the cat is dancing again i can't

i just noticed the rat has a rat tail this is so cute

I'm like 90% sure that you should've used 'Teacher' instead of 'Master' because of english connotations with the word, because some people might read it as 'person who owns you' instead of 'master of their craft'. unless i'm missing something and it's intentional, in which case good foreshadowing carry on

great work on the visuals!

i love the green colors used throughout. such a fantastic shade

in the current build i wasn't able to pick up items (i click them when the wand sparkles(the sparkles look Great) and nothing happens) so being able to skip these by pressing Q really helped. i love point-and-click, would've loved if it worked

i noticed there was no background in the room with two beds too; and the game page mentions music but there was no sound when I played

during the discussion of 'make a tonic' letter player character calls out wrong sister's name at some point I believe

lastly, upon reaching the end, nothing happens and I had to quit manually

the story is a fantastic horror fairytale and the visuals are gorgeous and almost vintage-looking, patched up this would be a marvel! I really liked it!

renaming 'quit' was a struggle but maybe i should've workshopped it more

or i can try to hide it in the config menus. thanks for telling me! i guess browser version wins by not having the option to quit at all

Glad you liked it! ✧

nonono no need to apologize, this is all useful feedback!

thanks again!

yeah the stories really are super short admittedly, but any attempt to make them longer felt like dragging them out, which I thought would be worse, so lesser evil it was

'romanticized', huh?.. I can't stop anyone from seeing it as such, but the word feels ill-fitting to me. oh well. thanks for commenting! it'd be useful to know in the future

I'm SO happy everyone's finally reacting to a changing title screen in my game for once :D

thank you so much!

thank you! phew the achievement screen did its job... the hardest part during testing (on my siblings, as one does) was to get them to replay, so very happy to know that was solved

genuinely some of the best voice acting I've ever heard in a jam project

the visuals are super cute too, though there's not a lot

'one-way ticket to personal growth... or madness. Same thing really' is a great line

this was very sweet ♡

the good ending felt well earned to me. no technical issues that I noticed

it felt like a fairytale, and I love fairytales

in case a hint is still needed, I'm going to try and add it under a spoiler ✧

rip your mouse, I'm so sorry. the skip button is 'zone out', and so far in testing skipping through the entire game takes under a minute

get all the father-daughter dialogues in one run

there should be a content warning for tile puzzles. the scariest thing someone can put in a videogame /joke

.... the music in the escape room reminds of totally party ost for some reason

all in all, really does feel like an escape room!

this one legitimately scared me. i nearly jumped. thankfully i got the knife for my first run... well done!

couple typos here and there but they are a fair price to pay for perfection. 10/10

this was sweet! not sure the ui is fitting well, but I'm far from the best person to tell people what is a good or bad ui

loved the music!

I am a simple person - I see a tophat and black out until I find the download button

and this was a fun time, thank you for making it ♡ loved the cgs in particular

'grape juice. it's wine, but boring' sent me

that said, the grape introduction voiceline doesn't play for me, which sounds weird because the previous two are voiced just fine

10/10

I thought about giving a hint to ending 3 on replay just in case, but then figured the game isn't long enough for bruteforcing to be hard and there Are clues, so as long as the player knows it exists they should be fine

Thank you so much for playing!!!

I randomly remember this game sometimes when playing other stuff. it's just part of my life now. 'this reminds me of songs and flowers'. thank you for making it a real thing that exists

due to Steam's rules now requiring separate developer payments for each game's release, moving there is not going to happen anytime soon

Thank you very much!

ending names are latin words for their respective animal families (ex. ranidae is frogs)
a possibly more interesting fact is that I picked names for characters from names of scientists that study those particular animals (with the exception of grandma gadget, she's a cartoon reference)

Cute and comfy stuff is my favorite, so I try to make more for this world~ Thanks again!

thank you so much!!! this one had to be short because of the o2a2 rules, but it was very fun and easy to make

love the video! ♡

♥♥♥

Thank you very much! I have a tumblr, if you search my games on there it should be possible to find. I mainly post uncolored fanart, though

thank you so much for saying that :')

oh. yeah, I just tried and it doesnt show up. this explains why no one's finding it in new...

thanks for catching it! it would've taken me forever to notice

all the settings are exactly the same as usual and this never happened before. guess i'll have to contact support...

most of my effort goes into character portraits and writing, so it's nice to know it pays off! fonts are hit or miss, I might have overdone it with layer effects this time, noted

Thank you for playing!

Thank you!

I grew up with happy endings and eager to share them with the world~

Thanks for playing!~

Yes

I will write 'now available on steam' updates when it happens

Not yet

sounds like I need to cook up some more unwieldy acronyms for future releases

Thank you!
