Hey man,

I played it myself, and I feel that this was a great idea/concept that was poorly executed. While I appreciate the Myst-esque charm and effort you put into the 3D renders, I spent most of the game wondering if I'm making any progress at all, as many of the screens and images repeat over and over again, up until the endgame content. I felt lost, and I felt as though I was going in circles, and most of the experience was hindered as a result.

Having said that, the renders are great looking, with nice use of warm colors contrasting with the UI.

Edit: tl;dr pretty much what everyone else said.

Thank you! Every part of the game (aside from the audio, which was created from scratch via audacity, and the music being created with Soundation studio something like 2-3 years ago) was created entirely in PowerPoint.

If I had just a little more time, I would have fleshed out the story a little more, but I'll probably fix it later on in development.

Thanks for your feedback.

I've mentioned this in discord already, but the reason why the platforms don't work is because you are using PowerPoint 2007. From experience, despite all the features introduced such as advanced shape effects, the new ribbon design, etc..., 2007 is garbage.

In particular, whenever something is given mouseover functionality, and is given a path animation, the collision for the mouseover function doesn't move with the visible shape. This is fixed in 2010 and on.

That is why I stated in the disclaimer that PowerPoint 2010 was the minimum version required for the game to run properly, with 2013 and later being recommended.

Thanks for your time anyways. Sorry you had issues.

I've been looking for an opportunity to make a PowerPoint game for a while. I don't know any VBA code, but I do know how to make a game without VBA (prob something unoriginal like a maze game). I've started work on a new powerpoint game already before I found this game jam on Reddit. I'll prob make a demo for the jam, then take whatever feedback I can get, and finish the game after.

Super excited to be a part of this!
