This is actually a really interesting puzzle game, although I will say that it took me a while to figure out quite how the sponges would interact when you pushed/pulled them (since it changes depending on which direction you do it from, what state the sponge is currently in, etc). Some tweaks to the graphics to improve the visual clarity might be all it takes to take this from a good game to a great game :)

As an enjoyer of both the TD and bullet hell genres, this tickled all the right spots. I had lots of fun getting massively overpowered, but still having some challenges to look forward to with the wizard battles. Perhaps it would have been nice to be able to use excess power to make battles a bit easier? Art style was very nostalgic, would've appreciated a bit more idle music. All in all, a very solid submission!

Good job on making this game! I can definitely see the similarities to power grid, but it's nice to see it in a single player format. It's impressive how you were able to manage all the state that was required for this game :)

The neon aestheics are super cool and something I haven't seen before. The switching mechanic kept me interested to play through the whole game :) I liked how the respawns would always be very nearby where I died and very fast, so it didn't feel too punishing for making mistakes. The overall ambience was chill but the confetti at the summit scared me :( hahaha

Oops, I totally missed that, so you can! My instinct was to press escape for some reason 😅

I found the controls a bit too hard to get used to, and kept falling off the platforms :( Good job with the art though!

I used to love playing these style of games. Found it amusing that we could get null as an element :P

Very nostalgic reminiscent of megaman and metroid, good job all in all!

Don't give up on your dreams! Making a game is hard work, we all know it. Kudos for at least submitting something! :)

Cute art and music! I only wish things came at me a bit slower and that I could use different keys. Good job!

I didn't really understand at first but now I can see it's like one of those sliding puzzle games with a slight twist. With some polish this could be a pretty solid game. Good job on the size restrictions!

The ragdoll physics and mouse-based movement is really funny and I liked it a lot. The victory pose is super cute and overall a very charming game. The game also took an interesting turn when the gunmen, ninjas and ghosts appeared!

It took me a while to figure out how to protect my furnace but I was amused when I realised I could chuck my bucket at the snakes. It's quite hard to make a good profit! Would be nice to be incentivised to do well, but otherwise good job with the submission! :)

Very unique game, and quite interesting to play! I unfortunately could not figure out how to get past level 3. Maybe my fleshy brain is a bit lacking...

That JavaScript alert was unexpected! haha. I liked the simplicity of the game and how you could mess around a bit to find a solution. The solution was not always obvious to begin with, but it is nicely forgiving with trial and error.

Cute character design! Movement felt a little bit clunky and conveyor belts are bit hard to notice but it's got a promising  premise :)

Nicely executed! This game hits that sweet spot for feeling challenging but not oppressively difficult. Simple but easily replayable :)

The sound effects were very satisfying :P

Movement and visual effects are very satisfying. I found the level select with settings integrated into it really cool for some reason haha. Overall a cool take on the puzzle platformer genre!

The visual/sound effects were very satisfying :P Would've liked to see more variation in the levels!

Our group talked about this interpretation of the prompt but I'm glad to see someone actually turned it into an interesting puzzle game! Good job :)

The execution for this game is top notch. I love the art style, the flavour text on the transition screens, and it was so satisfying throwing my colleagues around. I did find that in some levels I almost boxed in certain pathways, so it would have been nice if there was a way to restart a level. All in all, amazing job (pun intended)!

This was a nice approach to a rhythm/timing based game which reminded me of undyne's battle in undertale :) I think it would have been good to have a difficulty curve that didn't start too challenging to start off, but good job!

I made it to the second room! I enjoyed having the option of multiple weapon types, although it wasn't clear what some of the powerups did. Good job!

Keep it up :) Looking forward to seeing what you can make in the future!

Things I liked:

  • Interesting gameplay with multiple win conditions
  • The powerups added an extra twist to the game
  • The enemy AI was satisfactory

Would've enjoyed having some indicator of progress though! (e.g. more obvious changes between stages, checkpoints, etc)

I think I collected all the orbs :) Goob job on the submission! I think some variation to the gameplay and a win screen could have enhanced the experience.

I love the cute art/music for this metroidvania-style game. Would have liked to see more content!

I like your artstyle! Unfortunately I couldn't get my hand to move left/right, so I don't think I really got to experience the game :(
