That was absolutely stressful and so much fun. Wow. I barely survived.
I think the intrusion noise was a bit too loud, but the gameplay was overall really fun and one of the most fun games if not the most fun in the entire jam.

Overall this a great submission, very polished and has a nice game loop.

Has a good amount of a game feel, but I will say the controls and shooting felt a bit sluggish, especially at the beginning, as people has pointed out, not having the ability to shoot diagonally really debilitates the player's ability to kill mutants. Maybe switching the shooting to be independent of the keyboard and use the mouse to shoot in any direction you want would help?

Quick and simple concept, good job!

Definitely some user feedback would absolutely enhance this experience. Especially on the player's side of things, whenever you kill an enemy or get hit, either some sound or some game feel (screen shakle, vignette, slash effect for the sword)

That is definitely unintentional, thank you for the bug catch. I am glad you enjoyed it!

There were definitely some bugs with the wind (probably what was pushing you back somehow) and the intuivity of the player losing one of their abilities after each cutscene, but I'm glad you were able to give it a good shot. Will definitely be working to fix immediate issues asap. (Absolutely adored your submission btw, unreal)

Glad you were able to figure it out. Thanks for playing!

Thank you so much. At a minimum we might fix and address all the immediate issues and get those in a working build <3

Thank you for the feedback! Definitely have to make sure that pause menu bug gets fixed.

Thank you for the feedback. Definitely had some bugs that we are looking to address and maybe push to a posthumous update to the build. Someone that we definitely looked at was that after each level you lose one of your abilities, so when you get to the 2nd area you lose your rooot ability, but it's clear that we didn't make that intuitive, the health is definitely buggy though, really appreciate everything however.

Haha, that is our initial tutorial, on the sunspot you are supposed to stay there and fully heal (indicated by your leaves) and once you were at full health that slow mo should have disappeared, if it didn't that is a great bug for us to note. Thank you for the feedback <3

Haha it's fine, the fullscreen bugged out right before I died so I didn't get a chance for a confirmation, it's all good though. I appreciate it.

Absolutely loved it, gave me a nice arm workout. Managed to get 5k score, but the leaderboard didn't update it sadly :(

I would love to find interesting submissions to play through, so I thought maybe I could find some good ones that people are proud of. I will try to go through them all and rate them by submissions end. I absolutely adore the effort everyone puts into jams and I hope that this jam was great motivation for many of you to start your game development journeys.

In the meantime, maybe try ours out. Witherwood is a survival/adventure game where you play as a tree making your way through a raging wildfire to find the last remenant of hope to save your forest. I would love for everyone to check it out and give feedback, as it is always appreciated.

Check ours out! Absolutely loved your game. https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-jam-2024/rate/2748093

Try ours out! Travelling through a wildfire doesn't sound as appetizing as eating a hot dog, but who knows

Here is my team's game Witherwood: https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-jam-2024/rate/2748093

I hope everyone enjoys and has a good time playing it.

Simple game, simply good, good job, I like the use of an AI framework, definitely showed you were thinking deeper about systems.

This is an absolutely absurdly polished game and looks absolutely fantastic.  AMAZING JOB

Yeah, this game absolutely rocks. The music, the ambiance, everything is top notch. Amazing job.

Absolutely loved the placing and upgrading system, felt very smooth and easy to use. The variety of towers, attacks, and upgrades also made the gameplay very enjoyable.

I love the contradiction of the different stories, nice and cute. Good job.

I love the puzzle elements. The general aesthetics were awesome. Great game overall.

Love it, the voice acting was a nice added touch. Also the spinning reloads brought me back to my old FPS days haha

I think the door issue was caused by you and the box being on the pressure plate at the same time, it is a known bug and I don't know how I didn't catch it, however I made note for future people's use
