I don't have it up anymore but when messing around with it, it looks like it came and went if you kept clicking in the text box, but there seemed like some kind of lag/delay where it wouldn't work right away.

not likely something you'll want to change for this game, but something to consider if you do another game in the future:
the various elements don't really do anything...I end up always hitting "buy all" on the auras page, and the difference in forging costs are nearly negligible.
I'm never going to look at a tree and see that it has a particular resistance therefore choose to boost that aura because it is likely going to be a different resistance the instant it ticks over to the next tree.
On the browser version, the last 3 times I have returned to the game, everything has needed watering but not provided any leaves or stars?
This didn't seem to happen before I got the watering can. Also I can confirm that the leaves and stars are produced if I leave the tab open long enough, but the situation makes the "and then close the tab and come back the next time you have a spare moment" in the instructions basically unworkable.

re: balancing...I saw someone commenting liking the tradeoffs, but I think there's an imbalance in that it's possible to maximize pitchers without having to swap your coaches in and out, but it seems (unless I've missed something) that you can't have both weighted swing (for bat speed) and film study (for prediction) at the same time.
I mean it's fine if that's intentional, but in practice it means that late game I'm inclined to leave my maxed out outfielders sitting there and only cut/refresh my pitchers.
