They (Team Cherry Treehouse) did the remaster, not me. With full permission and some of my feedback. They maintain things, on their own itch account, issuing their own bugfixes without having to go through me etcetcetc.

They have my full support, but we're separate entities and the original version is still important to keep around for historic reasons.

Beyond the scope of this old game. If you wanna play with something like that, I Wanna Maker is free on steam and really feature rich. I didn't make it, but that means it's actually good.

If you have the wrong rom but name it right it'll SEEM like it loads but it's broken. I had to download a new rom to get it to work.

The game is and will for the forseeable future remain unupdated Unfortunately the game does not function correctly in modern versions of MMF2 so even minor updates would require a huge overhaul. This might happen one day, but no time soon.

That said, this is an old problem that some people have experienced. You can try checking this thread. http://kayin.moe/iwbtg/forums/index.php?topic=366.0 also making sure you try setting things like windows compatibility mode or whatever.

If you donated to download the game and none of this works, please don't hesistate to ask itch for a refund as I can't promise any future support for the game. That said I hope it works and I hope you have fun with it! I'm sorry I can't behelpful.

And it's easy to put stuff on itch and it's not on peoples radars as much. Steam is asking for trouble, while with itch, if they decide to take it down it's not that big of a deal. SO YEAH NO STEAM PEOPLE
