First of all Things I'm impressed:

voice overs, that was an impressive juice to be added to the game, I didn't expect that, the manual, the design and the quality of the manual itself deserves appreciation.

the feeling and mood of the environment.

I've decided to play the game from the beginning though I have played the early access before. the very first thing despite the size of the skeleton key which could be smaller.

It seems that the speed of the character is a little but high, I expected to have this speed while holding shift as an example for running.

Something has been changed with aiming or the damage of the Hammer, I could kill the guy but the creature killed me without getting any damage by my hammer.

that's for now, will reach you soon.

Oh by the way, the HUD, I think could be a mixture of transparent icons and mostly horizontal at the bottom right, key icons and other things could be placed at that position as well, it really won't bother when playing, but the current offset and placement is kind of annoying to me.

Thanks man this makes life a lot lot more easier, I definitely will go for the other plugins as well

just a suggestion, it's better not to bundle ".git" folder in the addon, and the latest changes seems to be un committed. I mean if you use git as a good practice which is perfect, I think it's better to commit your changes and then bundle the "whole thing - (anything in the .gitignore + .git folder itself)".
thanks 👋👊

👍👍 got it thanks man

Is there any chance to get the new version in 2023? or generally is there any so called planned release date is available that can be told? thanks

Yes I did that as mentioned above, renamed to "wolf3d" with no space but still not working.

by the way "No smoking in my woods"! was so fun

Thanks man, it's so cool when someone suddenly bring up one of the good memories of 2000s alive again.

I wish you would add dark-basic tag to the game in order to keep up db flag high as always ✅👏👊🤩

I want to open the game inside EFPSE, I did that with copying the data folder in the game, rename it to "wolf3d" and when I opened the folder I got the following log

Source: mscorlib

Reason: Unable to read beyond the end of the stream.

Stack trace:    at System.IO.BinaryReader.FillBuffer(Int32 numBytes)

I'm not sure if that's because of the version incompatibility or if that's not even supposed to work this way I mean loading the data folder like a project in the engine in general

can you help me with this, I've played the game it's wonderful, I mean really wonderful, and I'm new to the engine I wanted to see how things are assembled together in the level itself and learn from it.

Oh Dude! I've just played this, 12:40 am here in my area, it was quite a challenge and fun! you say "All assets are open source and mostly from the packages of "The Game Creators" and the BIMA & FPSC community" but I say you bake all of them together very beautifully and I liked it, running away was so fun and scary 😅😅

by the way, I've played the game on an ultra wide screen

the level itself was normal nothing weird happened, normally scaled and expanded and it was ok, loading screen though, the graphic were a little bit low quality the progress bar was expanded but its border didn't.

when the level is started the box with an image is shown which is not full screen and then it fades and the black box with the text appears and fades out, I don't know if the size of the box is intentionally smaller than full screen or not but it was looking good for starting the level like a movie so to say but the blue image was kind of disturbing to me personally.

the start_game.bat, sometimes forced to start a game even if I have exited it, it was ok just wanted to mention this as well.

about the game play, there was camera shaking here and there, I assumed it was like simulating of the fear of the creature but I'm not sure so I write this too.

anyhow, I'm looking forward to see this a successful project, I will continue playing this more. have a good time

I liked the game idea and it was honestly saying fun to play and I'm sure you will be able to improve it and I would happily test the game every time you upload a new version and will provide feedbacks with pleasure 💪💪💪 Rock on buddy

Just as an idea I think right now these are the point that needed to be heavily worked on

1. Collision system

2. animation state machine

3. hit points

Well well, it seems the collision is the main problem with the game, then the main animation state management

though the arts are transparent image it can be one or multiple simple boxes for collision detection, the "obsession" game also had this issue as well both the collision and the animation state changing.

anyhow, I really loved the opening scene it was amazing, the music yeaa man it rocks 🤘🤘🤘

you mark this as "In development" so I would love and am looking forward to see the improved version of this.

Hey 👋 it's Navid from discord, happy to see you published a new game created using 3DGS, will go for playing it with pleasure

Exactly, slower loading for the first time feels exactly like commodore 64 or nes or Pentium 386 for exsmple, some tape and/or floppy drive read/write sound fx can even make it more retro/nostalgic.

text files and data structures need to get more organized and improved as it might later on tend to very slow iterations if data must be saved it's better to be saved as binary not plain text for sure, other formats like json or csv are also helpful as well, let me know if you need more information.

Just played it, I loved the idea and the randomization is very high quality, I've tested resetting the game and the results were very nice to explore in terms of not being in a very similar pattern.
I liked the retro style graphic, it reminds me the commodore or nes era which is very nostalgic to me.

though the thing that was interesting but soon became bothering is line-by-line rendering which as an example I could see this in my mind like this, everything is rendered only for the first time but next time it is read from the memory and you have it rendered all at once on the screen. I think in this case not only the retro effect is still there but it won't have negative impact in the gameplay flow.

I'm looking forward to test the updates and future prototypes.

This is actually very cool to play, thanks can't wait for more updates

It was touching and wonderful, beautiful

awesome man

makes total sense, thanks

The tiny tool that is needed for part of the process, I don't care if it's built for apple silicon but not all x64 tools runs without crash on silicon, if it just works it would be enough

Awesome dude 👋👋👋

It's much appreciated 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Thank you for the update :)

Hey mate, happy to see this happened :)
