i like the undertale reference

I've also played turnip boy,  it wasn't really an inspiration for the  main character but the resemblance is funny, also really liked your ideas, maybe I add them for an update

thank you

thank you

thanks

great, is awesome to see others using godot

thanks for your comment!!! I used Godot for making it

thank you :)

not really but close

I was looking for feedback about the art style, so thank you

opinions?

jump feels bad

in geometry dash you have an  attempt counter that increases every time you die so in my game every attempt the camera rotation will increase by 90 ,  so the perspective of the level would change, I also added a final qualification based on your number of attempts

(puppets name is ollie)

actualization, level 1 finished

ok I have a winnig idea, a game like geometry dash, but every time you die your camera flips,  I made a really good prototype and actually had a great gameloop, idk if theres someone with a better idea, but i'm excited  to release the game

thanks :)

its been 3 weeks since I started and i think I have already a good gameloop

things that I added

-  shooting enemies AI

- working Npc's

- improved art style

things that I have'nt added yet :

- music and SFX

- boss battles

Im planning tu publish a demo and gamplay video for more people to see my game

it was the second game I ever made, I  had not understood the metroidvania genre, so I will update it

hey thanks for the review, i will make an update next month with more things

I like the character and tilesets.but the colors look a little grey

I recently started my dream game, some months ago I created an awesome character a cat named waffles  , I really liked that character and wanted to give him his own game, i thought in rpg games and topdown shooter two of my favorite game genres, but finally I thought in a great story with a gameplay that can combine both, so I opened godot, made a prototype and a youtube video

in this video I show the early game and also graphics

well I already finished my game for the jam

and I like the fact that I was able to change my original game idea, in other jams i've participate i always have problems bcuz my original idea was too huge for a jam and I couldn't think a better idea or a way to make it  shorter.

but this time was different, my first idea was to make a game where you start as a worm and then you experiment the life cycle of a butterfly, and every stage would have its own  unique gameplay mechanics, I thought it was a good idea until I realized i would have to make three different games,  I know it isn't that hard but that demotivated me too much, so I started think another idea and  something similar to a butterfly's  life cycle is a frog's life cycle

so then I remeber about tamagotchis, it was an easy game to make, I didn't need enemies or complex  mechanics to make a funny game, it was perfect. I made the game in just one of two weeks and also had time to make this video :

so thats the game, I'm proud of it and I hope people like it

I did it by myself but I used a palette from lospec

thnx

Incredible game, I downloaded the desktop version,

amazing game

play it now https://gengarguy.itch.io/lil-balloon
