Haha thank you for playing it, I think it wasn’t working properly because it wasn’t in PowerPoint itself, you could mouse over items in the scene to have a pop up message to give clues etc. The phone lock with the ‘1’ was a bug that I patched in the newest version linked in this comment section. I hope you enjoyed it and found my eastereggs ;)

How this was done in PowerPoint I have no idea but this was quite enjoyable as an arcade get to the end type game that you would find on a mobile game. I love the audio and the overall aesthetic of it and i'm very impressed with the animations (Show me how you did them pls). Really well done. Really hit high with the theme of making something in PowerPoint and with the game design and graphics!

Thank you for that and for changing the title! And yes, it's currently the rating period but I was surprised when it didn't tell me that the file would not be able to be uploaded. Even when it was deleted there's an option to save the change which I did not press and it still saved the removal of the file. But thanks for letting me know, I just uploaded the file elsewhere and linked it in the comments of my game jam page so I wouldn't lose it.

Thanks for the reply! And yes, not all objects of the game are intractable (Like floor, wall, window etc). However, most key elements are but sometimes you have to move the mouse off and then back on. That’s more of a PowerPoint problem though. And I’ll double check through for the misspells. I hope you enjoyed it though :)

For some reason the links wouldn't work for me and then some would, not sure what was happening. I loved the art though, that was really nice work! Not too sure about the story though or the gameplay, maybe it was because the links weren't working too well. But it added some comedic value nonetheless. Overall the sound design and art is fantastic but the gameplay could have more too it and the links working.

Game download was removed somehow so here's a new download link, please leave a review and any comments, enjoy :)

Okay, so I wanted to upload an updated game file for my game once the game jam had ended and now it is review period, however, I did not realise you cannot upload new files when it has finished. So now I my game cannot be downloaded. I didn't press save or anything on the game edit page but somehow it saved. Any ideas how I can get the game back?

Thank you, I will correct them right away! :)

Thank you for the feedback! Would you be able to let me know the bugs?

First thing's first, pixel art and animations are fantastic, I have no idea how you made all the flashing parts but really impressive. A very linear and easy to play game with a very interesting ending. Got some good resident evil vibes from this and i loved the design.

Peevs: The dialogue at the end was definitely too fast and the text was too big that it went past the speech boxes and overlapped other text so couldn't really read.

Would have been nice to find out what made him go psycho as well, maybe it's because I haven't ever worked a night shift but would have been nice to get that explanation.

Okay. This is super simple yet super effective. I love the child like drawings complimented with the child like dialogue, it really brings out the innocence of the story and the character and offers a depth to the story that otherwise probably wouldn't be present.

The horror element is just a cheap jump scare but tbh i'm not mad, definitely inspiration from the scary maze game even though it wasn't a maze.

I would just make it a bit more user friendly by stopping the player from having to click to keep progressing the dialogue as it is quite a bit of effort to do so when you aren't getting much out of it in terms of gameplay. So just set the slides on a timer so it moves on once the dialogue is over. This isn't so much of a game as it is a children's book story.

Simple yet effective visuals that compliment the story and character.

Good use of audio in the jump scare.

Simple yet powerful story.

Just make the transitions less "Spam click to get to the next dialogue" and make it so the slide changes after a timer until you have the multiple choice paths. :)

Art style is gorgeous and the audio is spectacular. The gameplay is a bit tricky though, one of the puzzles just happened so fast that it was impossible for me to pass through. Great narrative storytelling, the genre kinda reminds me of Limbo and Inside, both fantastic games and that ability to use what you have to make a story that makes sense for you is always great. So good job!

Would you be able to have a play of my game and give me some feedback? :)

This was really confusing, it felt like I just kept looping between a few slides. Maybe i'm not smart enough aha. Love the art style and the audio, though.

Try and make the paths more apparent so the player know if they are going backwards or not, like "Go back the way you came". Something to tell the player if they have made progress or if they are just going back and fourth :)
