If your current luck is 7 and you gain 3 bonus dice from the bow, if any of the dice from the bow are failures, they are not lost. Does that make sense?
With regard to seeing if the bow breaks at the end of the encounter, you roll a single d6 (this is after the encounter is totally resolved). If it is a 6, the bow is broken.
No worries, I love to answer questions!
A1) I'm not quite sure what you mean. The Oracle is mean to facilitate you answering questions about the game as you play to add more depth. Such yes/no oracles are used quite often in most solo games.
A2) You have it exactly, though a Knack should not be so general that it always gives you a bonus. It should be specific, like goblin hunter giving you a +1 against goblins, or revolver expert giving you a +1 when weilding a revolver. In your examples, Survival Expert I would say is too strong, and Pro Boxer I would only give a bonus in combat when you aren't using a weapon.
Hopefully those help!
Yes, you roll anyway, because if you get two passes and tick 2 boxes, you roll again hoping to tick that last box before losing your dice. Think of each roll as a single beat, a single moment of action, and sometimes events require more than one action to defeat.
Regarding moving on success or failure, you can certainly play that way. You'll cover more ground for sure.
Heya, sorry it took me a bit to get back to you, had a lot of stuff pile on top of me on return and I forgot.
In response to your first questions, my intention with the game was to continue to roll on a failure, losing dice with each failure until I was out of dice (i.e. dead).
Regarding your second response/reminder, the Joker represents that you have completed a mission if one was generated at the start of the game, so yes you basically declare success for that run (or keep playing if you rolled 2 missions).
Heya, glad it looks interesting to you!
The honest answer to all of your questions is that I can't really stop you (except maybe with the direct to Spanish translation, which I welcome, though of course you would need to credit me and link to the original).
If you want to create your own setting and/or expand upon the game, I say have at it, just attribute and link me in such works!
Yep you've got it right. A knack is a specific situation that you gain +1 die in, and you should consider the setting when defining it. No point being a goblin basher if you are playing in a setting with no goblins.
And yes, if you roll two 6s before 4 you gain 2 Knacks, but it's important to note that Knacks aren't tied to your stats. They affect one specific situation or type (i.e. bashing goblins) but can be used with any Stat on any roll if it makes sense.
Love it! The only thing I wish it had right now (I can feel more content coming, but that's a different matter) was clearer damage codes. 2-3 is d2+1? 3-6 is d4+2? Or did I miss how to generate damage on my admittedly quick read through?
Also way to go getting this, another amazing contender out before Mothership 1e. You keep crushing established games (in my book) with free products.
