I am currently going through all 3 acts for the first time ever since the overhaul and ill most likely make a long comment about what i think in general but just wanted to say i was so confused for a second because at the begining you pick a name which i picked nathan because well thats my name but what i dident know is that a character was also named nathan so i was confused why the name started popping up lol but either way so far all i can say is, sprites look really nice and expressive and also extream plushie material, like ryder is built like one of those soft plushies, and so far writing is really nicely done

edit: if Nathan borruowski is a human why does it say "Nathan puts out his paws" when they are showing their souls in class

Cant wait to run through it all tonight! good job with the consistent updates ^-^

the interface update looks like an absolute dream, itll make trying to get endings alot faster and less mindless clicking till you get to the specific thing you need

I think maybe making the sprite of the opponent change depending on what attack they are about to use could be fun. like if you see a specific sprite you know you should use a high attack and so on. would both add another way to make money and it could also connect to the cult storyline with the cult leader maybe giving you a powerup like being stronger in fights. just a suggestion though of course

I wanna say for me a thing that could be improved could be the fighting arena where you fight the horse dude. in the fight you need to click the right button about 7 times which is almost impossible without saving every hit. so maybe making the fight with him kind of like the fight at the end of hyena brotherhood storyline could make it better. that and maybe adding more opponents

Ok so while I adore tates whole story and current route and while scribbles route therium path was amazing in terms of storyline and the abselute psychopath therium is which just makes the route even more fun to read through, alvy's route has me in a goddamn chokehold.

spoilers for those who havent done the route yet \/

ever since i saw alvy in theriums route i thought he would be the typical dude that looks weak but actually very strong but wont do much in the story except look cute and sit on the sidelines and we might have a lewd scene with him in one of the routes eventually, but i was suprised when i saw a full on route release for him or atleast a path to romance him via scribbles route. i playd through it and i couldnt leave my pc untill the day one of the route was done and i am just hooked on his character. for once the route itself was extreamly funny to me and i found myself just laughing at alot of the jokes or banter but what really grabbed me was how clueless he actually is, i thought he would be a know it all who would critisize our main leopard for everything and being dumb but turns out he is just as if not stupider then our main dude which is just great, he knows nothing of the outside world basically being shelterd by his family for all his life only having his aunt be the one person he thought was kind to him and on the first day of his school which beforehand he never attended any school he tries to get directions from main leopard dude who was currently speaking to air basically and then chased him. alvy most likely thought that he was going to either die in this place or worse but eventually after we meet him again by a dumpster he starts to get to know us alot better and for a change he has somone that is not his aunt to lean on. the way his character both via the sprite and by the way he was talking to us seeing how he opend up was just magical for me. i cant wait for more of his route and other of course but if i can be honest as of today alvy is my favourite character above all and i just want to see more of him and while of course the lewds are always great, i love that i found a furry visual novel that while it has sexual elements they are not the main point which is pretty ironic for a game called Lust shards. Amazing work and all the kudos to mindoffur and others that contributed to this and will continue to contribute. 

i dont think i ever full on laughed while playing a lewd furry visual novel. bravo mindoffur bravo

i think rebranding in a way that makes the itch site and wiki feel more unique would be good and eye catching and will make "on your day off" feel more like a brand and not just a water drop in the sea of visual novels so making a unique font in the games desc would be good

edit: and because ive seen this told to other people no i have not used a pirated version of the game i am speaking purely from the look we got from the sneak peak sprites about 2 weeks ago.

(this is a comment i had posted on the recent update comments just thought i might as well also post it here)

I have been following the dawn chorus vn for a long time now I want to say so it is quite sad that i have to say im probably going to stop supporting it as much as i did. while i will still follow the games progress and will most likely check out every lake update i just cant connect to the new art style. while for some characters it does good such as torulf, klaus and travis it seems very not fitting on others. such as now mikko the character that him being a little smaller the everyone was a key point now is almost double his hight from what im seeing and has thicker build which just did not come off well on him, or devon who now seems to have a baby face when his supose to almost be 30 from what i remember, he dosent need to have an old man face but not a teenager face, rune who is a swimmer and athelete has a bodybuilders body (in my opinion mikkos new body shape would fit perfect for him) but the thing that really did hit me most was lake. i was so in love with how their character was and it touched me deeply the way their story went regarding their identity or the relationship with torulf and i think their for the lack of a better word "twink-ish" look fit because it made them look how they felt which is small compared to others but now they just feels alot bulkier then they should be.(again in my opinion klauses new look could look better) to conclude this is not an attack on keo or anyone who likes the changes, if you like the changes then all power to you i just cant connect. maybe im not the audience for this vn anymore because while i dont like saying it. it does feel like its going to the pretty upsetting fetish look with making basically everyone but maybe 2 characters either muscly or bulky. In my opinion a thing that could make everyone happy would be a toggle mechanic, i dont know coding personally so im not sure how this will work or if its possible even,again saying this is not an attack to anyone just me voicing my opinion on a visual novel i used to feel really connected to. sorry for any misspellings english is not my first language. thank you to whoever listend to my small rant.

SPOILER I THINK-

not sure if it was an intentional thing but it always gave me a feeling that some paths arnt really meant to end in the "happily ever after" trope for example mikkos route although him being the typical old best freind that you lost contact with it still dident end with you two ending together really more just setteling in a sense might just be reading too much into it but jus my opinion

ok so this is going to be a small bit of rant about somthing that seemed very wierd to me, (a hefty amount of spoilers ahead so dont read if you havent done the tate route yet)

so in the part when tates wyvern gets stolen by the wild furs we wake up from the poison to see tate crying his eyes out because he just lost somthing he cared deeply for and what do we do? correct him when he says dragon. like i know the mc is a lil dumb in general but from what we saw in other parts of the route and other routes he isnt tottaly socialy inept. it seemed so weird that the mc sees his friend somone that if you do the route the best way possible we hang out with all day for like 3 days crying on the ground looking at the place somthing he deeply cared for was now stolen and for all he knows might already be dead or he will never get to see him again tate starts speaking about i think seraph was the name and says the word dragon so instead of comforting him we correct him to wyvern and he gets rightfuly angry and leaves. while yes i know story building is important yes people make mistakes and yes they did like get better with eachother and whatnot but it just seemed so out of place to say with the situation that were in. am i the only one that felt this way during that scene?

ok so i just checked again and it seems im missing a single frame from the plant scene the fourth one to be specific. no clue how im supose to get it

so ive been trying lots of things by now and i cannot find the last scene i need from tates route. in the gallery its right after the plant nightfallen scene anyone can help?

cant wait for the next clyde chapter! most all the characters are charming and good in their own ways but clyde is just amazing

ok so i havent caught on the newer updates yet i only finished runes route and so on but one thing im confused about is how to trigger the rescue mission for cooper

ok so i finished tates route and it was amazing and i enjoyed it alot but i am faced with a problem i tried every single choice yet in page 2 bottom right im missing a single nsfw picture

it hit all my expectations even though this is only a demo i can already tell playing through the full game will be lots of fun just like grove while ofc the lewd scenes are allways nice you also learn to enjoy just playing the actual game with the nsfw part being a bonus. good job to the grove team!

another game from the people who made GROVE would definitly give it a play, if its anything like GROVE i have high hopes for this game :D

while the game itself aswell as animations and all look quite good it can get a bit annoying controling the movement being that if you get out you have about 2 seconds to get back in or allmost all your progress is gone which can get frustrating but either way its a good game jus needs a few stuff to make it less difficult at times

i love how the game is progressing cant wait to see more!

loved the added story around the GC and how it works and about the power the mc has cant wait for the next one!

i am barely 10 minutes into the game but DEAR GOD the arts really nice i like the main characters sarcasm and whatnot and i allways love a good ol fourth wall break here and there this is probably one of the only games on itch that made me laugh out loud

that is understandable when i sent the comment i thought about it and realised that chapters dont really fit into an rpg type game like grove but thank you for the reply. your probably one of the most quick game creators when it comes to replying to comments which is highly appriciated

this might sound like im asking too much i never programmed a game so no clue how hard this is to do but I wouldant mind if the game had a chapter system of sorts you see befour the dark places update i finished the game and it took me about 4 days of constant playing (not that its a bad thing i enjoyd the game very much) but befour the dark places update got released i had to reset my pc which lost me all the progress which will probably take 4 more days to regain and even though as i said that i did enjoy the game doing the same thing all over again will probably be very tedious to do and either way adding a chapter system will probably be usefull to players who missed a scene or special items (not trying to push the creator to do this just beacuse of my own invonvinience just wanted to make an observation) ps:sorry if some stuff are a bit misspelled english isnt my mother language and ty for reading this even though its a bit of a wall of text LOL

might be a little late to the party you could say but anyone know how to get the scene with the bartender? ive tried everything yet i cant figure out how and im pretty sure theres a scene with him

i cannot for the life of me understand how to use any attacks any advice? i tried looking at the controls tried using everything but nothing works

even though this visual novel has only been out for 1 week and dosent have much progress into it so far im truely inlove with the artstyle and excited to see this visual novel continue, again huge props to the artist will definitly become a patreon when i can

so ive been following the game for some time and even donated and i like dont regret it or anything but just asking if theres any news to when an update is coming if coming at all 

im pretty sure the game itself gives you tips of how to get to those scenes dosent it? it gives you tips of how to get to certin places/endings and youll probebly eventually get all the scenes if you take time to do what the tips say

question if the creator sees this the developmeant log says that the update should come april 2022 and theres like 3 more days to april has the update been pushed to the next month?

wait im confused does this mean the demo thats currently downloadable has 3 animations?
