How does your game fit the theme?
Stormy Herd embodies the theme 'Calm before the Storm' by placing players in a peaceful environment where they must manage and protect animals. As each storm approaches, the calm atmosphere turns tense, and players must act quickly to save their herd before disaster strikes. The contrast between calm preparation and the frantic rush to safety perfectly captures the theme.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, all of the code was written from scratch. Some assets, like sound effects and textures, were sourced from free libraries, while other assets, such as the animal models and storm effects, were custom-made for the game.

Overall, the game is fun, and the visuals are stunning. The randomly generated islands are awesome, although the controls are a bit difficult, and the 'How to Play' instructions were confusing at first.
Kind of confusing and I had to check the how to play an even after I checked it I don't know if it's too clear what's going on, but once I got more of the hang of it the game was pretty fun, nice job on this!

Cute visuals and music and sounds tho the music got a bit repetitive after a while xD.
I didn't see the function with the select all cause Idk if it worked correctly for me the only thing I could do is move them around in there plot. Besides that a tutorial would have been nice instead of the "How to play" or atleast something visual to look at.
Overall it's a fun small game that could have lot of potential.
Apologies for the lengthy text in the 'How to Play' section. I was working right up to the deadline and was trying to add visuals for the tutorial, but I got frustrated while trying to capture better screenshots. As this is my first game and I'm still new to game development, I'm learning as I go.

Yep, this is my first game! Before this, I was just learning game development through YouTube tutorials. I'm still learning, but I was feeling a bit bored, so I decided to participate in a game jam—and it's been such a fun experience! At first, I was worried I'd mess up because I didn't feel good enough, but after watching one of Brackeys' videos, he mentioned that it doesn't matter if you're good or bad—you can still join. Now, I plan to participate in every jam I can find!

You can select multiple animals, similar to how it works in RTS games. Just click and drag the mouse on the screen to create a selection box, and any animals within that box will be selected. You can then command them to move wherever you'd like. All the functionality is explained in detail in the 'How to Play' section, so feel free to check it out if you have time! :)

This is a fun game! I liked desperately trying to save the animals as they flew around in circles haha. Great job on your first game!
Nice game! Music, artstyle og graphics are all excellent
The biggest issue is controls communication. Like i have no idea how to move the animals around and have get them to safety. The description tells the player some but not all they need to play the game.

This is a really cool and unique idea. The controls were a bit hard to get used to but the game is fun at the end. The animals are super cute and the whole style is really cute! Its a fun little game with lots of replaying potential! Good job!

Fun game with potential! The art feels nice and cohesive and it's really easy to understand what's going on at any one time. It feels like a little more moment-to-moment challenge could really help take it up a notch if you were to make a v2/update it after the jam

its my first game and you can of the music sound in settings, And also you can switch to fullScreen in settings or screen bottom right button
