Big fan. Simple, effective, and really imaginative. Would make great character music as you're interacting with a specific character.

The last 15 seconds of harp music was my favorite part! I'd snatch that melody from the end and do more with it throughout the piece. It could even be a recurring motive between the flute and clarinet solos. It would help to tie the rest of the piece together

all I can picture is that creature trotting and bouncing down that path when I listen to this, lolol. I really like that you interpreted the art in a cute and lighthearted way. I'm not sure how to do it in DAW yet, but adding a couple fun jazzy glissandos in the melodic material (I'm thinking like Monster's Inc theme, Dixieland jazz, etc) would fit so well here. Now I want to go learn how to do that haha

What an amazing vibe, love the sound collection you've got going. Makes the melody sparkle over everything. This would make for such good exploration music, fading in and out

ahh!!! If you mean Danny Elfman’s Alice theme, thank you!!! That was one of my favorite soundtracks growing up, he’s the master!

This is cool, really love the fullness of the texture that erupts with the drums. I’m wondering about the lead up to that climactic chord, whether there was quite enough tension built (ie. One or two more chord changes) before that chord to make it feel the way I want it to feel. I totally get what you’re trying to do though. Could try a different voicing of the chord too. Really great sense of scale and form in this though!!

i love that middle section where you just feel all the space around you, hearing little fragments pop up and fly away. Lovely ambiance all throughout :)

Thank you so much!!!!

Love this so much! I really like the direction you went, it felt very cutscene oriented. The story of the tentative beginning blossoming into something more was so apparent. Weird thought, but if there was a cutscene in the Water Temple of Ocarina of Time, I feel like this would fit so well. I feel like in an expanded version of this, the opening (with the piano and reed) would be well suited to make a grand re-entrance later on in the track. It's very evocative

Really enjoyed your use of contrasting instruments to signal the new section! (~0:40) I would have welcomed a contrasting key exploration to go with it. Some variation in the piano rhythms could also help define that idea further. But seriously, nice intro and so many great ideas in this :)

I love this!! Such a cute melody and all the accompaniment just makes it such a bop. I really like the contrasting figures happening in the background, but I had a hard time hearing them! Maybe bring them  up a tiny bit and maybe into a higher register so it doesn't fight with the main melody? I wanted to hear more of it! Such good work :)

Thank you so much! Using an old Tascam mic I've carried around all these years. I'm still learning about best practices for room studio recording, but I'm glad the sound is ok! I'm running the mic to my interface and into Cuabse with some added plug-ins to help the acoustics a bit.
