Yes! Thanks for commenting since these have to be added manually.

Thank you for your interest in our jam. However, this jam is for analogue games only, so it's therefore been disqualified.

I'm sure I will <3

Thank you! Managed to grab one :D

Oh I love this, and the flexibility is such a great idea! You're already out of community copies though XD

Oh I love how this looks. And the visual relation between the block tower and the actual building is perfect inspiration XD Awesome submission.

I wasn't able to do much to update Rooster and Owl, but I did take care of some of the texts in the Field Guide. The notes in there are justified, and there were such big spaces between letters at times that it drove me nuts! It's still not perfect, but it's better than it was now :3

I think I've got the game itself one (other than one lingering question I posed to some friends and a bit of decoration). I just haven't finished the roll tables because I'm probably putting way more work into them than I should :p Still, making the page now so I can get this in on time!

That should be perfectly okay, and it's how I do my own games during jams :3 I can't wait to see what you create! <3

This game looks absolutely intriguing! I'm really curious now how the players might go full cycle like that :3 Thanks for the submission!

Thank you for your entry. This game jam is for analogue games, which is stated in the first line, and so this game must be disqualified.

Oh this is so cute! There are a lot of cat lovers in our gaming groups, so this could be right up their alley as a pallet cleanser between longer games :3

Oh this looks incredibly well-done! I might have to tuck this away for when spring arrives. I'm really curious to play it!

Yes please . The weekends are a wash for me and I'd at least like to get a simple ashcan version done 😅

This is a really nifty game! The mechanics are simple enough I feel like I could play this with MiniNewt (5yo) and the theme is really sweet and very appropriate for the stories of Brownies.

This is incredible! Now I really can't wait to get the chance to play it!

Just a head's up: There's no game here X3 While we appreciate that you're trying to get things done in time to make the jam deadline, there has to be some version of the game itself or it'll have to be disqualified.

This game looks like a ton of fun and as a fan of Greek mythos, I feel like you did a great job with the gods and goddesses included.

I also read your note at the end. I'm actually working on a hack of Honey Heist involving golems this very week for this very jam (hopefully will have it done in time). I was a bit anxious at first, but spoke with some family members about it (they're a mix of Reformists and Conservatives, but still :p). They all spoke of how much they enjoy seeing Jewish references out in the world and were fine with my idea. So I've grown way more comfortable with having fun with the stories and presenting things in game-form in a fun way.

Oh I really like this one. The prompts you give for example animals are really well though-out, and the variants could be a lot of fun to play with. Great submission :3

This looks like it could be a fun line game to use at conventions and such. Great submission!

Oh I love this. It invokes thoughts of the beginning of the movie 13th Warrior while still remaining its own thing altogether. The gameplay overall looks intriguing and I had to stop myself from playing it solo as I was reading it XD Awesome submission!

This is a beautiful game, and I love that you included not only the actual language of the people, but a version with the audio of each line. It feels like it can bring the players closer to the culture and people that the story is from.

Creative character creation and communication? Plants? Journaling? Baba Yaga?

This is a wonderful submission! I can't wait to play it with my own friends. I might even tone down a few things to see if I can play it with MiniNewt and her friends <3

I have such a soft spot for involved card games like this! This is probably the longest game I've checked out that has been submitted for this jam so far, and it looks incredibly immersive and that it makes great use of matching mechanics to the theme.

I see it takes place in medieval Europe and it feels like it has some War of the Roses vibe. I'm curious if it follows any particular folklore? It could be fun to look it up!

Oh I like the look of this game! Simple with basic aspects you'd expect in a light-weight ttrpg, but the flavor of the theme definitely runs throughout. I'd be curious to know if there's a specific folklore you're pulling from and how it's tied to you, but only if you're comfortable answering :3

Oh this looks incredibly well thought-out. Not only am I very interested in playing, but I have some friends who are believers who might be interested, as well <3

Same! I feel like it's not really a hack if I don't bring my own something different to it XD

I've always been a big fan of different takes on old tropes, and this looks like a fun one! I really like the twist to the CARTA system; I've been looking at different ways to hack and simplify it here and there (like in my game, Fire Rescue), and it looks like you have a good idea. Bravo!

Ugh, I'm not even sure if I'm going to get to any of these ideas x.x I barely had a chance to fix some serious spacing issues (well, not serious but were bugging me because justified alignment has always bugged me) in my Rooster and Owl game x.x If nothing else though, it felt good getting some of those ideas down. Maybe I'll save one for the next Folklore Jam :3

Never dumb to ask rather than assume :3

This is an analog game jam, so if you mean designing a game through Canva or Google Docs or Affinity or a program like that, where a .PDF or .PNG can be downloaded and even printed out for the entire game, then absolutely.

If you mean designing a video game, I'm afraid not.

The title alone makes me giggle xD I'm not familiar with the system but I'm looking forward to checking it out!

Hey there! Adventures for any open license system is perfectly okay! The need for it to be a standalone game was removed a couple jams back :3

As someone who is Jewish by blood with family members who are Jewish by blood and practice, I can't stop smiling at the description for this game. I look forward to reading it in full <3

Absolutely will do! I'll probably wind up with a solo play first and get a feel for the game. I might be able to figure out some things for ramping up the difficulty to test with my friends ;)

Oh that's clever! Fantastic job :)

When I first saw the submission, I was expecting the usual take of most cryptid games: either play as a group trying to find proof or play as the cryptid itself and wreak havoc. This was a very pleasant and fun twist on the trope!

Oh wow! This looks like the sort of compact game that I always try to create and winds up wilting away in my WIPs XD Seriously, this looks like a lot of fun and I want to try it out with my group. Also, bravo on doing the heavy research to avoid the other countries <3 That had to take quite some detangling at times.

Oh that sounds amazing :D

For now I'm just planning on reviewing Rooster and Owl before submitting it. It's based on talking animals folklore. My partner has Native American blood (it was written with MiniNewt, our child, in mind), we live in the States, and I used to love Aesop's fables when I was young.

I do have some ideas for folklore that's closer to home in a couple of different ways. In the major city closest to us, there is practically an underground city right beneath it. Most of it has been closed off for safety, but we took a tour a few years ago of what's still open to the public and they have a fascinating history. I might make a map-making game based on them, though I'll want to look up what some of the more popular ghost sightings were X3

I've also been wanting to create something about golems. I'm Jewish by bloodline if not by practice, and the bits and tidbits I recall about them have always made me smile. I'll have to do more research (my ma never had an interest in stories involving them so she's a poor source of info), but I think it would be neat to have players create a golem character who is charged with protecting a town, or maybe a golem looking for a new purpose after their original need is complete.

This is exactly what Spooktacular Bookmarks was made for! I can't wait to see what others come up with!
