Just saw this game on YouTube... it's freaky as all get out, but the question is... what game engine did you use to make it? What are the minimum PC specs for playing it? And what drugs were you on, while thinking this game up? And I thought Demerol was bad... gave me weird dreams of trying to have sex with s human-sized grasshopper! Seriously! But this goes beyond that level of weirdness!

Thank you for making the demo version available! I like the demo version so far, but I prefer to use the Arrow keys instead of AWSD (it should be made an option that you can choose what keys you want for movement, jump, attack, etc.)). I did not see any options for music/sounds volume and the music was a little quiet for me (good music gets me more engaged with a game). And you made this 2D game in CopperCube? Very impressive! I like the graphics and the water effects!
It's a little difficult to tell when I've hit an enemy/creature (I just slash like crazy til it falls). Maybe add a colored strike effect (flash?) or something?
If you're interested in expanding the music offerings (how many does this game have?), I've composed music for two people on Ambiera forums as well as for my own iOS game, Lava Crew, and my CopperCube game, "Luposian: Prelude to Creation".
I'll play this game again tomorrow and when I've finished it, I'll likely buy the full version. I think it's worth it! But please take my suggestions into consideration. I think it would improve game play and engagement for players.
Just got Jessie's alternate ending and I prefer it, because it allows Jessie to live her dream without having to hide her lupine self. However, in either ending, does Malcolm actually return? It said "Malcolm will return" (or be back), so I assume that means he'll be able to share in their lupine love once again. I didn't see that in the second ending, but I may have missed it (I skipped over the lengthy credit scroll).
Also discovered, Alana is a child of the fae as well! She be hoofin' it as well! There is definitely a fae connection between Alana and Effie. I don't think that was a visual mis-glance Malcolm saw in the back of the car. But those one-liners between chapters (and at the end) are so sad!
Is there any kind of timeline for future story expansions content (I’m assuming Grace’s images will be available in the next month or two)? Are we looking at later this year? Or 2025? It’s not the waiting that’s the problem, it’s the knowing WHEN. 😁 I’m assuming on the number of downloads from Steam, alone, you’re not wanting for finances, if each one is $20, not including extra content. How has the purchase download rate been for Itch.io?
Ok, I don't know how you did it, but you made Grace's story THE BEST! In fact, I'm not ashamed to admit it, but... you made me CRY! A 55 yr. old man... CRY! THAT is what awesome story telling can do! My avatar is of a WOLF! Not a Selkie! But, blast it all, I'd probably jump at the chance at being as happy as Malcolm is in that BEST ending (and I was pretty happy with the first ending, but this one totally blows it away!). Truly Marion's and Jessie's storyline/ending don't hold a candle to Grace's. Not by a mile... or twelve!
I'm suspecting Elana is the one making those quotes, but maybe Effie knows or sees things that aren't directly shown in the game. Dunno. Can't tell. There anyway to find hints that make it more obvious?
Marion's storyline was cute and funny. The ending was fitting and nice. Jessie's storyline fit more with my alter-persona (wolf), so I was able to personally relate to it more. I didn't like Jessie's desire for human fame and fortune... she's a wolf! Why want anything more (or less, if you take Grace's storyline into account) But... GAH! Grace's storyline just blew them both away, like they weren't even there! I think it's because it is the one storyline that focuses on a desire for simplicity... freedom from human trials and stresses... just enjoying and living life free of those constraints! And you worded it so eloquently in the storyline, it's unbelievable!
If/when the revised images for Grace's Chapter 5 (from cartoonish, to more realistic, like the rest of the game) are done, will they be available for free to download or install? I'd like to see them. I've definitely learned, looking at still images from the game folders does not do the storyline justice. You need everything in animated motion to really work. I almost missed out on the best storyline because I thought the one (BEST) ending seemed too silly (so silly, in fact, I thought it couldn't possibly be in the game.. a seal with a head of hair? Preposterous!). But when played out in the game, it becomes utterly magical!
If my praises could earn you 10,000 more downloads and endless riches, I hope it does! You've earned it! BRAVO!
But I'm hoping we see another expansion on Grace's storyline... I doubt I could ever have enough. :-D
Yeah, I accidentally got the bachelor ending and somehow stumbled onto the seal ending! Haven’t finished it. Will, tonight, after church. Never figured the pelt Douglas wrapped around me was a SEAL pelt! 😁 Is it enchanted or is it my character’s attributes/love/desire that makes it transform? Assuming that is even “known”. The fact he’s able to get out of it reminds me of the movie “The Mask”, with Jim Carrey. I wonder if the change is permanent once it’s complete or can always be removed.
By the way… who is the one talking on those one liners between chapters? I’m suspecting either Effie or Elana (schoolmarm), but I can’t tell which. Or why.
In looking at the story tree, I discovered that I got the "super blooms" at the end of the branches (which lead to getting mini jewels or gems in the root sphere; there are three) of both Marion's and Jessie's storylines, which means I must have gotten the BEST ending for two of the three storylines. Now, I want to know where I need to make different choices, to get the BEST ending for Grace's storyline. Do I need to start making different choices in section II or Section III of the tree? Or is it a combination of both?
Ok, after playing Grace's storyline, I got to read about the Ulipheist... that is definitely what she must be. But the Kelpie is pure evil... why on EARTH would anyone name their boat that? I did, in the game, because I thought a Kelpie was a GOOD sea creature. Definitely won't do that again! Is there a seal/sealion ending or was that just fun "extra content" that isn't actually in the game?
Ok, I don't care to see the Bachlor endings... too depressing. I want to see the happy endings of each character. But do your instructs take the player directly to a different ending or only if you follow OTHER (correct) choices in the game?
Oh, speaking of which, I clicked on Marion during the "Deer Transformation" scene and got to lick her... SEVERAL times! :-D But I'm trying to figure out why he has that dream and why HE never changes. What is special about him that makes the girls change and is it ONLY him or would ANY man they truly fell for, would cause them to transform? And, if not, why? I mean, Marion and the fishmonger?!?... ugh! How could she fall in love with Bushyface! :-D That's desperation right there, I'm sorry! :-D
I’m researching as much history as I can from the premise in this game. How much is actually real and how much is fiction? Are there any places, lochs, locations, etc. in the game that really exist in Scotland?
I was almost certain that one ending might have Grace end up being the one who started the tales of the Loch Ness Monster. Seemed like it would make sense. 😁
Speaking of which… what type of creature IS Grace? We never really found out in the storyline I just finished.
Just finished Grace's story... a happy ending, helping others, but I'm wondering... what is/are the turnoff(s) (decisions) to the storyline where Malcom turns into a seal/sealion? I thought it silly at first, but having enjoyed this ending, I'm curious about the other(s). :-D
I'd love it if there was a plot map (decision tree) for each character storyline that showed every direction every choice could make, so there was no possibility of missing any endings. Several times there are different choices, but they're not critical (no butterfly)... and I'm not sure if they alone can alter/change an outcome. Do they all end up at the next critical choice, just with slightly different conversations between? I'd gladly pay $5-$10 for such a plot map! :-D
Who has done most of the artwork? You? If you were to hazard a guess, how much did a single scene (like of the loch or elsewhere) cost? The storytelling is fantastic. The details and emotions and... its all just so unbelievably engaging! The "graphic" elements are the LEAST important aspect of it, seriously! If this has been your first game, I can't wait to see others or expansions of this one. A very worthwhile spend of $20! Once again, Bravo! But I thank you for creating a demo version... it gave me reason to buy the game, when I probably wouldn't have otherwise. I've seen a few "graphic" furry games and most of them are pretty weak, overall. Like that is all they have to draw on, which is sad. Good storytelling is so much more valuable! And that, you've proven, ye have in spades! :-D
Oh, my goodness... "Mollusk Fairy"?!? I'm laughing so hard right now! Had to post this before continuing the game! After skimming the images and scenes and backdrops and other files in the game folder, I was convinced this wasn't a storyline I really wanted to play, but I was completely wrong. I may be far more keen to wolves than sea serpents, but I'm being proven thoroughly wrong in my estimation... this game is awesome from beginning to end, in every plotline! Bravo!
I’m curious… how much did this game cost to make and how long did it take?
The artwork is absolutely phenomenal and the attention to detail, in the storylines. “Graphic” elements aside, this game is worth every penny and, for that, I’m grateful. I was worried this game was going to be another game where there was very little except the graphic element, since it is a “furry” game (considering where I saw the ad for it) and this game could easily play without any graphic aspects at all. And likely why that option is available. Bravo on being able to tell an exciting story without the need for “extra” content. It shows true talent and dedication to storytelling. 😁
I simply want to say what a joy this game has been (every bit worth the price!). In looking at all the individual images, this game has so much detail, it's insane! Some even scary, like characters without faces and faces without bodies! And body parts all by themselves!! One thing I noticed particularly... the script of Alana's incantations... they look VERY familiar! Like... from Lord of The Rings? Elven script, isn't it? Was that accidental or deliberate?
And, lastly, I was a tad disappointed by ending(s) of Jessie's storyline (there are only two "happy" endings (one less happy than the other... maybe? Or maybe its just my perception of happy endings... my avatar should clue you in as to my leanings), aren't there?)... I was hoping for a really happy ending like Marion gets, but between two werewolves sharing time between the Big City and being accepted at home. With a little were (bun) in the oven. Owen begrudgingly accepted Marion as a (literal) cowgirl... why not Jessie as a werewolf?
the developer seems unable or unwilling to create anything other than dark, demonic, first person shooters. With a strong interest in hell itself, which speaks highly of his spiritual state. I can no longer play these types of games, but even if I could, I wouldn’t. The dark, evil nature of them rubs me the wrong way.
This game has a nice menu screen and I like the fact he actually gets up before the game starts! The lack of adjustable site angle makes lining up for a kill harder and the fact you get stuck in the terrain and clipping (I think that's the right term; where you see through areas you shouldn't and maybe see areas that you shouldn't) occurs in several places is a bit distracting. But if this is just a preliminary version, its quite impressive! I was grateful I got unlimited ammo... one less thing to have to worry about.
Can you go inside any of the buildings? Is there a goal you have to reach (i.e. multiple levels/stages/areas), or is it just shoot enemies that keep appearing in this one area until you die?
This tool would be GREAT for creating all the rooms of the game "Brataccas". But someone is gonna have to play the entire game in an Atari ST emulator to map it all out. Probably have to kill everyone they meet (with the exception of Lash, who can't be killed), plus use the Electro bombs to kill all the patrol bots, so they can take their time and roam around unhindered. Might have to give it a shot myself, if no one else is interested. :-D
It's a fun game, but it would be easier to play if you could use the arrow keys and you could accelerate a little and stay at that speed while steering. Flying over the place at full speed actually makes me a little motion sick, because even though it's 3rd person (which makes it playable for me), everything is spinning around so fast, I can't visually focus on just the car, which is where motion sickness comes in. Otherwise, this is a really fun, addictive game! Good job! :-D

This is a preliminary version (alpha) of my 3D Third Person Perspective (3PP) game, just in the early stages of development. However it will be quite extensive when finished, covering multiple “Stages” (levels). This is currently Stage 1 “In One’s Beginning”.
it costs me $100 for each “step” of development and I’ve currently invested around $800+ so far, most of that bringing my character “Luposian” from a 2D pencil sketch, to 3D life. Once I found CopperCube 6.6, I suddenly realized bringing Luposian to life in a 3D game was going to be a lot easier! Fortunately, the guy who made him 3D is also a programmer, so I quickly got him on board and he’s done a great job so far.
I’m only asking $1, to download this version, because it’s not really worth more, functionally. But I’m hoping some people will enjoy it, spread the word, and maybe help fund its further development, so this Stage of the game (and the ones beyond) can be finished sooner. This game will be finished, one way or another, regardless, but I’m hoping others would be willing to contribute to the dream.
For everyone that “buys” this version, I will also share the first “chapter” of the game storyline with. Those that go beyond $1 will also get character development pictures and snippets of music I’ve composed for this game. You give, I give back. 😀
UPDATE: I've now uploaded a video to the game page.
