Changeling Tale has many secrets hiding up it’s sleeves! If you’re having trouble finding any specific one, this is the place to look.

A reminder before you spoil yourself, many of the secrets can be found using the hints system, by going into preferences and hints, you can throw down a save at a point that is probably important and find these all naturally while playing. If those don’t work, each ending, achievement and easter egg gives you a minor hint in the description text on where you can find it!

If that’s still not enough, I have a walkthrough on each of them below.

Endings - located in the Story Branches section, each ending has an end card that will give you hints on what to do to achieve it. Some endings are a culmination of decisions that start early on, and not just a branch off a single path, so despite the placement of the ending card, it could require decisions early and later to achieve.

Bachelor 1 - Hint - Show as little interest and avoid as many interactions as possible to reach this ending. In order to get this ending you need to avoid chosing any option that has a romantic symbol, and when forced to choose one, choose jessie or grace, and then leave when given the option and stay home.

Bachelor 2 - Hint - Not pursuing any particular relationship may trigger this ending. This ending is more difficult to get, but the easiest way is to choose no romance options when they are available, and choose the marion options only when forced to pick between a romance, except at the end when she asks to open up, when you choose not to open up.

Marion Early 1 - Hint - Reacting poorly to Marion’s changes may lead to this ending. Choose options that negatively react to Marion’s transformation, such as “It’s horrible.” at the picnic, you can start in chapter 2 to get this one.

Marion 1 - Hint - Encouraging Marion to overcome her fears will lead down this path. At several points you’ll get the option to go out to the town with Marion, you must choose to do this at each opportunity and this ending will unlock no matter later choices.

Marion 2 - Hint - Confronting Marion’s father when she chooses to stay home will trigger this ending. Starting in chapter 2 you must discourage Marion from leaving the house at each opportunity, then at the end of the game choose to confront Owen outside after dinner.

Marion 3 - Hint - Letting the dinner drama go unresolved when Marion chooses to stay home will trigger this ending. Starting in chapter 2 you must discourage Marion from leaving the house at each opportunity, then at the end of the game choose not to confront Owen outside after dinner.

Jessie Early 1 - Trusting Alana implicitly may lead to missed opportunities. In Ch2, ‘Big Game Hunter’ - select that you “…will never doubt Alana’s warnings again.”

Jessie Early 2 - Follow the new instincts. In Ch4, ‘Two of a Kind’ - “Let go.”

Jessie 1 - A steady reluctance toward werewolfism will lead down this route. In order to activate this ending you must react negatively to werewolfism, in Ch2 ‘Lost’ - “It must have been so hard.” - which will unlock Ch4, ‘Two of a Kind’ - “It’s terrifying.” and lead to this ending.

Jessie 2 - When passions run high, try to ease the tension. * In Ch4, ‘Standoff’ - “Take the antidote.”*

Jessie 3 - In the face of fury, risk everything. In Ch4, ‘Standoff’ - “Do something reckless.”

Grace Early 1 - Leaving Grace in the dark about the nature of her transformation may lead to this end. In Ch2, ‘Plotting a Course’ - “Don’t tell her.”

Grace Early 2 - Too much hesitance over the course of the relationship may bring about this ending. Starting in Ch2, ‘Uncharted Waters’ - choose “I don’t know.” “…” “It’s… growing on me.” “I should get home…” “Don’t forgive her.”

Grace Early 3 - Sail away with Grace. *In Ch4, ‘Treasure Seekers’ - choose “Maybe money can buy happiness.”

Grace 1 - Let Grace go. In Ch5, ‘Catch or Release’ - “Agree.”

Grace 2 - Persistence may make dreams come true, or take it all away. In Ch5, ‘Catch of Release’ - “Insist on pursuit.” then “Turn back.

Achievements - located in the Story Branches section under the trophy icon - these are usually achieved by completing a specific section of the game, or interacting with it in a certain way.

Needs More Cowbell - Reach the end of Marion’s story.

A New Awoo - Reach the end of Jessie’s story.

Synchronized Swimming - Reach the end of Grace’s story.

Liar Liar - Pants on fire. Hint - Can you tell every lie? Unlock Method - In Marion Ch3, ‘A New Look’ - choose every option to hide Marion.

Cowpletionist - Reach all endings in Marion’s final chapter. There are 3 of them.

Fortune Favors the Bold - Hint - You don’t have to be a scary werewolf. Unlock Method - In Jessie Ch4, ‘x’ - Choose the option to ‘Act Natural’ when presented.

Know Thyself - Hint - Malcolm can change back if you remember what he values. Unlock Method - “In Jessie Ch4, ‘Two of a Kind’ - you will be presented with 3 options - “Think of my love…” “Think of my responsibility…” and “Think of my desire…” - the correct decision is based on how you’ve roleplayed Malcolm so far. To easily unlock this, just select an option and hit back and select a different one until the achievement pops up.

Elite Angler - Impress Grace with your fishing skills. Hint - We’re gonna need a bigger boat. Unlock Method - In Grace Ch3, ‘A Promise Kept’ - when offered a choice, choose ‘The Boat’. After the line “I hardly need to help…” click in the water above the boat. Complete the minigame with 20 fish before the time runs out.

Hook Line & Sinker - Court Grace three ways. Hint - There’s more ways to a womans heart than fish. Unlock Method - Choose all 3 of the paths in Ch3, ‘A Promise Kept’

Photo Collector - Inspect both photos. Hint - Grace and Jessie both have hints to this mystery. Unlock Method - In Grace’s path, ch3, ‘Her Special Place’ - choose ‘Lead on’ where she’ll take you under the sea and inspect a chest with you. In Jessie’s path ch4, ‘Standoff’ - after choosing to do something reckless, choose to look at the photo that Owen leaves behind.

Yacht Envy - Set sail with a different sister. Hint - Grace really doesn’t like you riding Marion or Jessie like that. Unlock Method - When naming your boat, use one of the other sisters names.

Rebound - If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. Hint - Bail on Jessie but come groveling back. Unlock Method - Like jazz, get hazel treats, get on with errands, go to the pub on market day, lure her back with treats, go the pub after the nightmare, change your mind and head home (twice), take hazel for a ride, ask to join her, don’t open up to marion at the picnic - from here on continue the standard grace romance path until you get to the Ch4 branch where you choose “I can’t just leave.” - after Grace runs off, “Agree.” to call off the pursuit. Then select “What if…” when the option appears.

(Hidden) - On the map click the 8.

Easter Eggs - located in the Story Branches section under the Egg icon - these are typically unlocked by clicking on the screen at a specific place or time. (A note: on Android, not all Easter Eggs listed are in the game, Android builds cannot complete certain tasks and they were removed for the mobile build.)

Hint - What is Jessie hiding under her dress? Another Hint - Jessie could pull off the cow look. Unlock Method - In Marion Ch3, ‘The Lesson’ - when cow Jessie appears on screen, click on the lower part of her dress.

Hint - Pet the cow. Obsessively. Another Hint - You can never pet a cow too much. Unlock Method - In Marion Ch3, ‘Every Day’ - after Marion says “Malcolm! Get to work.” Click on Fionna’s neck until Marion states “Malcolm? I’m worried you’re developing a cow obsession!” it will forcibly end the petting scene and continue the story. Continue playing until the morning after sleeping over with Marion and a special scene will play out and give you this easter egg.

Hint - Peak beneath the bedsheets. Another Hint - Marion’s certainly got a large bump under there… Unlock Method - In Marion Ch3, ‘A Change of Clothes’ - After Marion lifts the bedsheet up and states “Oh, my! I thought I…” - click on the bedsheet.

Jessie’s Chapters:

Hint - Dogs love bellyscratches. Another Hint - Jessie’s looking a bit feral under the light of the moon. Unlock Method - In Jessie Ch3, ‘The Moon Beckons’ - after the line that starts with “With only a little hesitation…” - click on Jessie’s belly.

Hint - That bunny look familiar… Another Hint - Try to catch it before it gets away! Unlock Method - In Jessie Ch4, ‘Escape’ - after the line “Instinct forces my eyes back open…” click on the bunny in the frame.

Hint - Take a big swig. Another Hint - There’s still some beer left at the bottom of that mug. Unlock Method - In Jessie Ch4, ‘A Wolf Walks into a Bar’ after sitting down for a beer, click on Malcolms nose.

Hint - Reveal the disclaimer. Another Hint - It’s near the end of the credits! Unlock Method - After completing Jessie’s Ch4, Near the end of the credits, but not completely at the end, a message will pop up saying “No animals were harmed” - click on this message.

Grace Chapters:

Hint - Contents under pressure. Another Hint - I guess Malcolm wasn’t finished. Unlock Method - In Grace Ch2, ‘Uncharted Waters’ - after Malcolms climax, click on his implement.

Hint - Here come the fish! Grab your net! Another Hint - We’re gonna need a bigger boat. Unlock Method - In Grace Ch3, ‘A Promise Kept’ - when offered a choice, choose ‘The Boat’. After the line “I hardly need to help…” click in the water above the boat.

Hint - After naming the ship, activate Grace’s floatation devices. Another Hint - Malcolms ship will have the breast adventures! Unlock Method - When presented with the option of naming the ship in Ch4, ‘Sailing Secondhand’ - choose a custom name and type in boobs or breast or tits. If you type it in once you will activate small breasts mode, if you type it twice you will activate large breasts mode. In order to have them change, continue in the game until the option, “I can’t just leave.” Choose it and during the sex scene while she is growing, after the “…seductive submarine.” line, click on her breasts.

Hint - French Kiss. Another Hint - She’s got you at eye level now. Unlock Method - In Ch4, ‘Giving In’ - when grace picks up Malcolm after he swims after her, after the line ‘She licks her lips…’ - click on Grace.

Secrets - These are much less common and are usually things that change after doing something else in a different playthrough of the game.

Deer Dong - With one ending from each romance path unlocked, a special scene will appear during the nightmare.

Almanac Entries - I won’t list all of these because you should find the majority throughout the course of the game, but I will list some of the more difficult ones.

Ach-na-Creige - Fence - In Chapter 1, “Choice”, go to the pub, dance with Jessie, then choose “Head home as well”

(should I put all this under spoiler? I don't know how to do this on this forum)

Great game, enjoying it a lot so far.
I didn't read everything to avoid spoiler, but I have one little question:

The tree in the Story Branches menu has several little flowers. I think getting the Marion Early 1 ending has made one bloom a bit bigger, but it might as well have not been there before.  Are there paths to make all the other flowers bloom a bit bigger too, or is it only this one.

For example, from what I have figured, just picking "it's horrifying" is all it take to get that ending, no matter what else you pick afterwards or have picked beforehand, with just an option with Effie if Malcolm ask her if she is teasing him, but both option lead to th exact result, but did I miss something and it's possible to get that early ending later in the game, making the smaller flowers that are a bit upper in the branch grow a bit bigger too, or are those smaller flowers just there for aesthetic reason?

Thanks a lot.

Developer

I don’t think you can spoiler on here, or I would have done it on my post.

The flowers are mostly there to show your progress, as you complete chapters you get blooms that are non-interactable, and as you complete endings you get the growing blooms that you saw when you got an early end.

If you want to remain unspoiled I suggest just playing as you’d play until you hit your first ending, and when you’re feeling stuck you can check the hints or come look up endings here.

Thanks for the answer. I think I have actually got everything in the Marion Branch but wanted to be sure I hadn't left anything else before moving to the next one.

this was very helpful

Developer

Thanks! It took me all day to type up and test :P

I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing wrong, but I can't seem to trigger "What if..." option  when attempting the Rebound achievement.

Developer

Heya, yeah, this is a known issue. It’ll be fixed in the next patch which should be up today or tomorrow! Sorry about that.

Hey, really useful guide.

Can you give any hints on how to get the hidden achievement (The tree)?

Developer

We’re keeping this one pretty hidden but I have given out that “You’re looking for an 8 in a place where there isn’t an 8.”

I found it! I really love this. I'm not sure how to put it into words, but this game really changed my life. Thank you for everything.

Developer

You’re welcome, and thank you for giving it a chance! :B

Tysm for the guide! The only ones that don’t work for me are the slurp achievement and chapter 1 Easter egg for Marion. I’ve done the lick part of the nightmare scene as many different ways as I can figure but it never triggers. Has this been an issue for anyone else or am I doing something silly?

Everything else has worked flawlessly, it has been a fantastic game to play.

Developer

It’s currently bugged until our next patch, sorry! We’ll have that fixed up soon.

No worries at all, thankyou for your work!

This is a tremendously useful guide! It is helpful!

I'm having trouble understanding the "Art Galleries" section. How do I release the last art at the bottom of Jessie's page and the third from the left and fourth from the top of Grace's page that are not yet released?

I'm using a translator, so I don't know if the text comes across correctly...

Developer

The last Jessie scene is from a specific post credits image in the Jessie path, try not to skip past it! It’s the both werewolf path branch, so if you’ve gotten that ending you may have skipped the post credits scene on accident.

The Grace one is one of the dates in chapter 3 “a promise kept” - you may have missed one of her dates here.

I was able to liberate all of them!

Thank you!

Developer

Enjoy!

Good afternoon, a question. What happens if an achievement is bugged? I don't know if I've done it right. I followed the steps to get the Slurp easter egg. That in the nightmare I'm supposed to click on Marion and lick her when she approaches while I'm turned into a deer. I did it, I think it happens 3 times or the first time. But I can't get it to unlock. Any advice to be able to complete this achievement and I think it also comes with "Break Marion's personal space"

Developer

Slurp is currently bugged, it’ll be fixed in the next patch we do!

I simply want to say what a joy this game has been (every bit worth the price!).  In looking at all the individual images, this game has so much detail, it's insane!  Some even scary, like characters without faces and faces without bodies!  And body parts all by themselves!!  One thing I noticed particularly... the script of Alana's incantations... they look VERY familiar!  Like... from Lord of The Rings?  Elven script, isn't it?  Was that accidental or deliberate?

And, lastly, I was a tad disappointed by ending(s) of Jessie's storyline (there are only two "happy" endings (one less happy than the other... maybe?  Or maybe its just my perception of happy endings... my avatar should clue you in as to my leanings), aren't there?)... I was hoping for a really happy ending like Marion gets, but between two werewolves sharing time between the Big City and being accepted at home.  With a little were (bun) in the oven.  Owen begrudgingly accepted Marion as a (literal) cowgirl... why not Jessie as a werewolf?

Developer

Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it! :B

The characters without faces and bodies and different parts are built that way because that’s one of the easier ways to interpret Renpy objects and put them together to reduce the workload on sprites and such.

You are right that Alanas incantations are in a free to use font that mimics the elvish in lotr, I think. It’s not story important no, just needed a magic looking font.

Not everyone gets the same happy endings I’m afraid, and the circumstances around Jessie and Marion’s transformations are much different, and their stories are different because of that. Sorry it wasn’t as happy as you’d have liked but we did want to make each story its own unique experience.

I’m curious… how much did this game cost to make and how long did it take?

The artwork is absolutely phenomenal and the attention to detail, in the storylines.  “Graphic” elements aside, this game is worth every penny and, for that, I’m grateful.  I was worried this game was going to be another game where there was very little except the graphic element, since it is a “furry” game (considering where I saw the ad for it) and this game could easily play without any graphic aspects at all.  And likely why that option is available.  Bravo on being able to tell an exciting story without the need for “extra” content.  It shows true talent and dedication to storytelling. 😁

Developer

I’m not sure how much it cost, but we’ve been running our Patreon for 7 years now, and it’s up to around $8k at the moment. It wasn’t always up there, but that might give an idea of how much it cost over the length of development.

Thanks so much for the kind words! :B

Who has done most of the artwork?  You?  If you were to hazard a guess, how much did a single scene (like of the loch or elsewhere) cost?  The storytelling is fantastic.  The  details and emotions and... its all just so unbelievably engaging!  The "graphic" elements are the LEAST important aspect of it, seriously!  If this has been your first game, I can't wait to see others or expansions of this one.  A very worthwhile spend of $20!  Once again, Bravo!  But I thank you for creating a demo version... it gave me reason to buy the game, when I probably wouldn't have otherwise.  I've seen a few "graphic" furry games and most of them are pretty weak, overall.  Like that is all they have to draw on, which is sad.  Good storytelling is so much more valuable!  And that, you've proven, ye have in spades! :-D

Developer

Thanks again!

Little Napoleon and myself did all of the artwork on the game, I don’t know how much they cost since we work on a profit split per month and I just do the work that’s asked of me. We’re excited for the future expansions too! :B

Just finished Grace's story... a happy ending, helping others, but I'm wondering... what is/are the turnoff(s) (decisions) to the storyline where Malcom turns into a seal/sealion?  I thought it silly at first, but having enjoyed this ending, I'm curious about the other(s). :-D

I'd love it if there was a plot map (decision tree) for each character storyline that showed every direction every choice could make, so there was no possibility of missing any endings.  Several times there are different choices, but they're not critical (no butterfly)... and I'm not sure if they alone can alter/change an outcome.  Do they all end up at the next critical choice, just with slightly different conversations between?  I'd gladly pay $5-$10 for such a plot map! :-D

Developer

No need to pay, if you just scroll up in this post, the original post in this thread is a guide for getting each ending/easter egg/secret :B

Ok, I don't care to see the Bachlor endings... too depressing.  I want to see the happy endings of each character.  But do your instructs take the player directly to a different ending or only if you follow OTHER (correct) choices in the game?

Oh, speaking of which, I clicked on Marion during the "Deer Transformation" scene and got to lick her... SEVERAL times! :-D  But I'm trying to figure out why he has that dream and why HE never changes.  What is special about him that makes the girls change and is it ONLY him or would ANY man they truly fell for, would cause them to transform?  And, if not, why?  I mean, Marion and the fishmonger?!?... ugh!  How could she fall in love with Bushyface! :-D  That's desperation right there, I'm sorry! :-D

Developer

You would need to follow the endings up until those points and make sure you get the important choices in the instructions.

As for the reasons only he causes changes, that’s part of the mystery, that’s one of the things other players discuss a lot! :B

(1 edit)

Oh, my goodness... "Mollusk Fairy"?!?  I'm laughing so hard right now!  Had to post this before continuing the game!  After skimming the images and scenes and backdrops and other files in the game folder, I was convinced this wasn't a storyline I really wanted to play, but I was completely wrong.  I may be far more keen to wolves than sea serpents, but I'm being proven thoroughly wrong in my estimation... this game is awesome from beginning to end, in every plotline!  Bravo!

Developer

Glad you’re enjoying it! :B

I’m researching as much history as I can from the premise in this game. How much is actually real and how much is fiction?  Are there any places, lochs, locations, etc. in the game that really exist in Scotland?

I was almost certain that one ending might have Grace end up being the one who started the tales of the Loch Ness Monster.  Seemed like it would make sense. 😁

Speaking of which… what type of creature IS Grace?  We never really found out in the storyline I just finished.

Developer

Most of the game is based directly on Scottish mythology, a small amount of it is improvised. Whenever we need something specific we do make it up, but a lot of the game is filled with direct references. The bairds and bg gallery are good places to learn a lot about the lore for our game too.

And Grace is indeed a reference to the loch ness monster, but the first sighting was 30 years after the game so we didn’t feel is appropriate to do anything crazy like that. :B

If you check out Bairds there’s some pretty good hints to what Grace is ;)

Ok, after playing Grace's storyline, I got to read about the Ulipheist... that is definitely what she must be.  But the Kelpie is pure evil... why on EARTH would anyone name their boat that?  I did, in the game, because I thought a Kelpie was a GOOD sea creature.  Definitely won't do that again!  Is there a seal/sealion ending or was that just fun "extra content" that isn't actually in the game?

Developer

There’s definitely more than one ending for Grace! :B

(1 edit)

Yeah, I accidentally got the bachelor ending and somehow stumbled onto the seal ending!  Haven’t finished it.  Will, tonight, after church.  Never figured the pelt Douglas wrapped around me was a SEAL pelt! 😁  Is it enchanted or is it my character’s attributes/love/desire that makes it transform?  Assuming that is even “known”.   The fact he’s able to get out of it reminds me of the movie “The Mask”, with Jim Carrey.  I wonder if the change is permanent once it’s complete or can always be removed.

By the way… who is the one talking on those one liners between chapters?  I’m suspecting either Effie or Elana (schoolmarm), but I can’t tell which.  Or why.

Developer

Just part of the mystery!

(3 edits)

Ok, I don't know how you did it, but you made Grace's story THE BEST!  In fact, I'm not ashamed to admit it, but... you made me CRY!   A 55 yr. old man... CRY!  THAT is what awesome story telling can do!  My avatar is of a WOLF!  Not a Selkie!  But, blast it all, I'd probably jump at the chance at being as happy as Malcolm is in that BEST ending (and I was pretty happy with the first ending, but this one totally blows it away!).  Truly Marion's and Jessie's storyline/ending don't hold a candle to Grace's.  Not by a mile... or twelve!

I'm suspecting Elana is the one making those quotes, but maybe Effie knows or sees things that aren't directly shown in the game.  Dunno.  Can't tell.  There anyway to find hints that make it more obvious?

Marion's storyline was cute and funny.  The ending was fitting and nice.  Jessie's storyline fit more with my alter-persona (wolf), so I was able to personally relate to it more.  I didn't like Jessie's desire for human fame and fortune... she's a wolf!  Why want anything more (or less, if you take Grace's storyline into account)  But... GAH!  Grace's storyline just blew them both away, like they weren't even there!  I think it's because it is the one storyline that focuses on a desire for simplicity... freedom from human trials and stresses... just enjoying and living life free of those constraints!  And you worded it so eloquently in the storyline, it's unbelievable!

If/when the revised images for Grace's Chapter 5 (from cartoonish, to more realistic, like the rest of the game) are done, will they be available for free to download or install?  I'd like to see them.  I've definitely learned, looking at still images from the game folders does not do the storyline justice.  You need everything in animated motion to really work.  I almost missed out on the best storyline because I thought the one (BEST) ending seemed too silly (so silly, in fact, I thought it couldn't possibly be in the game.. a seal with a head of hair?  Preposterous!).  But when played out in the game, it becomes utterly magical!

If my praises could earn you 10,000 more downloads and endless riches, I hope it does!  You've earned it!   BRAVO!

But I'm hoping we see another expansion on Grace's storyline... I doubt I could ever have enough. :-D

Developer

Glad you enjoyed the Grace path! :B

There’s no way to know for sure who is doing the quotes between chapters, that’s part of the larger mystery of the game and will be explored more in future dlc. But there are enough subtle hints that you could make a good guess - lots of players on discord have been trying to figure these mysteries out.

The finished Grace pics with shading should be available soonish, there are just a few more pictures to finalize, the update will be available to everyone who owns the game.

Is there any kind of timeline for future story expansions content (I’m assuming Grace’s images will be available in the next month or two)?  Are we looking at later this year?  Or 2025?  It’s not the waiting that’s the problem, it’s the knowing WHEN. 😁  I’m assuming on the number of downloads from Steam, alone, you’re not wanting for finances, if each one is $20, not including extra content.  How has the purchase download rate been for Itch.io?

Developer

Graces cleaned up images should be in a few weeks at most. It took us 7 years to make the game you’re playing so far, so the next romance will probably be at least a year. We have no hard dates though, no.

Steam has sold about 3400 copies and itch.io has sold about 600, so 4k all together. It’s fortunate the game was largely funded by Patreon though, we get paid monthly by fans every month who support the idea. I do not think the game would have been a success on it’s own otherwise (4000 sale is nothing to sneeze at, but it would not have funded the games production at the quality level we aimed for).

In looking at the story tree, I discovered that I got the "super blooms" at the end of the branches (which lead to getting mini jewels or gems in the root sphere; there are three) of both Marion's and Jessie's storylines, which means I must have gotten the BEST ending for two of the three storylines.  Now, I want to know where I need to make different choices, to get the BEST ending for Grace's storyline.  Do I need to start making different choices in section II or Section III of the tree?   Or is it a combination of both?

Developer

The large bloom isn’t really the best ending, it just means you got one of the furthest out endings, all the endings are valid in our eyes! It would tell you which is the key choice for getting other endings in the guide above.

Just got Jessie's alternate ending and I prefer it, because it allows Jessie to live her dream without having to hide her lupine self.  However, in either ending, does Malcolm actually return?  It said "Malcolm will return" (or be back), so I assume that means he'll be able to share in their lupine love once again.  I didn't see that in the second ending, but I may have missed it (I skipped over the lengthy credit scroll).

Also discovered, Alana is a child of the fae as well!  She be hoofin' it as well!  There is definitely a fae connection between Alana and Effie.  I don't think that was a visual mis-glance Malcolm saw in the back of the car.  But those one-liners between chapters (and at the end) are so sad!

Developer

The story will return with him, not necessarily the specific story with Jessie.

Good evening, I wanted to ask if, regarding the rebound achievement, can it happen more than once? I mean, I've passed the end of Grace several times without realizing it, to get the easter egg and I found the option for What If...? , but it didn't hit me at all. I would like to know if it's a bug or not, it's the option or should I keep trying to retry until I get it? I've been trying grace again and again for more than 3 hours but the What if... option doesn't appear again? That doesn't leave me a little uneasy since it is the last achievement I need to complete them all.

Developer

You should be able to see “what if?” multiple times, the issue is that you need to perform the exact steps listed, if you just jump to the chapter it will not work because the game doesn’t store those choices when you jump chapters. It’s an extremely specific set of choices that lead you to asking Jessie “What if?” The achievements should all be functional now, so it should work.

Oh, I tend. Yes, I have tried to do it without skipping chapters. But if you tell me that there is no bug or error. I'll take my time step by step. I appreciate you taking the trouble to answer me. Hugs.

Developer

No problem, if you’re still having issues let us know - you can still use the skip function (by clicking or holding control) between choices though!

One question, which is more out of curiosity. I thank you for the help a couple of days ago. I already finished and concluded with all the achievements and Easter Eggs that the game has for me, although that itself makes me intrigued. Do you have more updates to the game in mind? More content? Any other routes? Additional scenes passing the time? Greetings.

Developer

Yes, there’s a free update planned with some smaller additional content and a cleanup pass. There’s another romance that is being worked on that will be free, and then 2 expansions that will be paid content.

So is there no help with The Tree achievement? The hint means nothing to me and I spent the better part of an hour clicking randomly. I hate puzzles with a passion.

Developer

Heya, sorry it was difficult for you to find it! Glad you enjoyed the game otherwise.

Love the game otherwise.

Found it on my own, and honestly I'm more irritated than happy finding it. Would much rather just have something like that as part of a story route myself.

Looks as though there's room for another branch between Grace and Jessie's routes. Is there something I can do to fill that in, or is that just room for further updates?

Developer

Future planning! :B

I cannot get the Liar Liar Achievement. I have went through and selected the options to Hide Marion but I still cannot get it. What am I doing wrong?

Developer

There are 4 different dialogue options, I believe only 3 of them are required (specifically the 3 with unique scenes, the one where you tell Alana immediately doesn’t count). You get the achievement after you’ve completed all of the scenes associated with those choices to their ends. Make sure you aren’t bailing out after just clicking the options.

so i have a question.
during alot of the endings and some other places.
we get like a black screen and some text.
its always written in a way like its being spoken by a 3rd party.
talking about the main characters, not as one of them.
is it ever explained who that person is!?
or is that person just like. the narrator.
or a in game personification of us, the player?

Developer

I won’t tell you who it is, but I will tell you it is supposed to be a mystery and it is not the player or a unnamed narrator. They will play into later expansions of the game when we get to those. There are some good theories on the discord and there are enough clues to figure it out in game if you pay attention to the lines, but it is intentionally vague.

my current theory is its either effie or hazel.
but i look forward to finding out officially when the time comes!.
keep up the amazing work!!

Thank you, we will! :B

Sorry to bug again but how do you get the Cernunnos in Baird's book?

Developer

Cernunnos is unlocked by getting 100% completion, you need to see every major scene in the game.
