Oh yeah, okay, rereading it, I can see what you mean now! I think the sentence is so long, I was adding my own pauses which changed the meaning lol. Thanks, I get what you mean now, my bad :)

That's on me lol, I just checked and it was right there in the description that I read and everything! It does help tbh but I think im just not too good at these kind of games lol

Hi yes, unfortunately it was planned but alas I did not get as far as I was hoping to, I think I spent a lot of time perfecting juice and things when I realised it would take too long, thanks for playing :)

Nice entry! Very polished and the 3d paper platforms look great, I feel like the platformer mechanics could do with a little work, I didn't get realise you could jump of walls or hang right until the end so maybe a tutorial for that would be good too but of course for a 9 day project this is amazing regardless

Really nice! Good juice too but I felt like it was a bit difficult as you have to get close to swing at them so can find yourself surrounded quite easy, maybe if you had some sort of roll/dash feature to be able to get away in those situations it would be easier. Love the music, when it dropped I felt like  a bad-ass for sure

Very fun and love the fact that the mechanic was so unique as well, fits the theme perfectly. I know you can speed up the timer by shaking but for the first few levels with the constant rhythm of the bomb I felt like it would be perfect to have a track with the same bpm that could maybe progress as you go through the levels or checkpoints even

Thanks, it is not my just artwork, it's pack of an asset pack I owned but I do plan on making it into a commercial game once the Jam is over :)

Thanks for playing, of course it's common courtesy :)

Thanks, the combat was something I didn't quite get round to finishing as I only had one enemy for now, planning on adding hella more enemies and fighting combos etc once the voting is done :) Thanks for playing

Nice game, very chaotic and very unstable haha, I think some kind of description of the spells would be good too as I died quite a few times figuring it out

Thanks for the honest review :) that's what all this is about after all. I appreciate all your points, and you're right, I didn't get any time to tune due to the time limit, I'll be honest I only joined the Jam on the 5th day so I had to power through everything hence why I used the platformer behaviours, but I did have to modify them and I actually coded my animations and combo timers etc into these behaviours. The only thing I would fight back on is that the music isn't from asset packs, the sfx are i.e the rain sounds, the weapon swishes and female voice, but the music score was made by me in FL so I would be genuinely interested if you could let me know where you might have heard these sounds before

One of my highest rated games. Love the artwork and the voice acting. Music score was absolutely beautiful as well! I feel like the controls for sticking to walls were a bit difficult to grasp, it seemed to let me jump when I let go of the side ways button as long as the jump button was pressed, but I feel like the jump button should take precedent over the wall stick mechanic so it's easier to control and master, but I'm not too used to playing platformers to be honest. Regardless of that though this is an absolute gem of an entry!

Very nice, very good execution of the idea too. Wish there was more levels than just one as I started to get the hang of it.

Took me a few tries but very nice game, and very simple but effective execution

Cool idea and very on-point for the theme, I think the controls are a bit hard to get used to, I think if it started, easy and got progressively harder it would allow new players to get used to the mechanics first

Thanks for the comment, yeah I hope to get the dialogue voice acted if I can afford it one day lol

Cool game! Really fun idea but very difficult! I would recommend some instructions/tutorial, and maybe some glow effect or something that shows you which grapple point it is going to grab onto! Solid entry

Haha really fun game and those bongos really fit with the vibe! Would be cool to have a next level where you control the legs with some keys or something

Amazing entry! 3D Graphics with the lighting looks amazing, and the music/sfx work really well. Really fun mechanics but just wish I had a block button to parry off these damn zombies

Cool game! Loved the horn when the waves start and hey nice use of Magica Voxel! Same thing I did for my ships and islands in my game! It came out well, the only thing I would suggest is to decrease the ambient light a bit and add a lot more directional light to really make the castle pop!

Nice really cool idea with some really cool features, the jumping was interesting and I like the portals and wall jumping as well! Be nice to see how it turns out once its finished with some nice graphics

Nice I got so far I didn't even realise it was endless

Cool game! I didn't even realise I was in 3d at first until I moved the right stick haha!

Nice! Gave me a few jump scares haha

Really cool idea and I love the death animation and sound

Nice game, very good for the theme and I like the way how the menu selection screen was done

Nice game! Really cool feel and I love the voice acting

Cool submission haha! Nice graphics for the dashboard as well

(1 edit)

This was a cool entry! I love space so this was really nice to fly about, it was a bit small so maybe reduce the speed to make it feel bigger? But also the sound from the intro loaded really slow cause I have really slow connection so I was roaming earth and the intro audio started playing so maybe use events to stop the audio in case it hasn't loaded but doesn't need to load any more. Also did you use voice actors or is that you or what? It's a really cool voice

Nice game! Really good execution, I did get stuck once not able to move left, but reloaded and gave it another go! Really cool idea

Sick! Definitely one of the top games! Love the atmosphere and how you've done the fog... in fact how did you do the fog lol?
If it was a bit more difficult this could be a very good escape room style game! Maybe with some improved graphics and additional random story to add some mystery, I can see this easily being a paid game on the Play Store

Nice game! Love the ambience of the moonlight in the distance! How did you do the light so it's kind of only lit up around you? Was it a light source that just followed the player?

Cool game, I love the sound when the dinosaur ate me haha!

I didn't get a chance to get far as I couldn't shoot either for some reason, but the mouse controlling the camera and buttons to walk etc were working fine, but the game looked really cool, the graphics were awesome, love that you have a crouch button as wellmaybe some instructions at the start would be helpful though, nice game

Youre page is asking me to pay to play your game? I don't think you can do that in the Jam bro

Nice Game! It's quite slow paced but I guess that's very fitting for the style, I Like how you've done the ships as squares, really helps with the Hitboxes being quite accurate! And love the 2D dude I wanted to spend more time on just cause of how cool it was to see the 2D dude on the 3D background, gave me paper Mario vibes!

Really cool game! Gotta recognise the amount of work! From the fake waves to the voice acting it fits very well! Hit boxes are a bit off but you did amazing with what  GDevelops first 3D update gave you!

Thanks a lot! I probably spent too much time on it for a Game Jam, but I'm hoping it makes my game memorable! I have now added some combat as well, but I need to wait for after the Jam to update it :P

Thanks I appreciate it! I know nothing about 3d modelling what so ever so just made some very basic models on Magica Voxel because I struggled to find free pirate ships and Islands, but I appreciate you playing :)
