Hi there, can't say that game was an inspiration. The team was mainly going for a resident evil vibe, as well as fatal frame :)

Got to wave 21, then enemies stopped spawning :p

Hitting the cat is pretty broken, gets you loads of money.  Only lagged when upgrading spread or burst on turrets.

Solid game, not much to add. If you do develop it further i think the cards could have more of an impact. Currently i did not feel like it mattered all that much which card i picked (except death of course ;)

Very polished game, loved the art and the implementation of the modes.

Wouldve been cool if you could reroll one of the modes, or maybe even ban one.

Some of the combinations seemed straight up impossible haha ;)

Cool game, it did feel very frustrating at points though, but maybe thats jus a skill issue.

I got to the tower (the last savepoint) but it kept spawning me under the checkpoint, so i would just fall down.

Very fun to play, i could definitely see this becoming a full game.

I love platformers, so this was a real treat. The platforming was very solid, maybe the enemies could use some more work.

Lovely game, loved all the little references and retro feel was on point!

Awsome game!  I wouldve given it 5 stars on all categories, but missing the theme "mode" a bit.

Forgot to rate, so doing it now. Very polished game, short but sweet. I loved the volume slider mechanic, and the ending was very creative. Funny thing: for a while i thought the ghost girl was a penguin :D

Yeah i still got a couple of hours, no one else from the team online though, so maybe tommorows better?

Hi, artist here, i could probably drop by your stream if its in the evening (EU time). Idk about the others but i will link in our discord.

Thanks for playing!  The game was made for a 2 week game jam, so there are some rough edges for sure. We plan on adding some of the things you mentioned after the holidays.

This is so well done considering it's a jam game! satisfying platforming, great pixelart and good difficulty ramp. Good job dudes!

Cool game, i cannot get passed the see-through barrier though. Any hints?

Thank you for Playing and the helpful feedback!

I agree the up-jump didnt serve any purpose, so i removed it in the updated version.

using a mana-system to limit the amount of slashes is for sure on my todo list, as well as enemies :p

Thank you for Playing!

The video is very helpful, i will make that area a bit easier and maybe add another checkpoint :)

Hi there,

I just put a little demo togheter for Slashy Ninja : https://mathcong.itch.io/slashy-ninja-demo

Its a small pixelart platformer / adventure game you can play both in your browser or download as a standalone version.

 Thanks for reading!
