This sounds like an exciting challenge, doesn’t it? I’m not very expert in tabletop design or game design in general, but I’ll give this jam a go because I feel like it has a lot to teach me and the concept is so fun I couldn’t resist! ^-^

Thank you so so much for the feedback! ^-^

The best game of the jam, absolutely incredible!!! <3

Rated! I found it pretty hard to understand and pick up, but the visuals were nice and so were the controls: good job! :)

Rated! I waited to have a friend to play with, sorry ^-^’

Rated! Really a great idea and execution, good job! ^-^

Rated! I had some performance problems but the game was fun nonetheless :)

Rated! Short but neat experience, a creative take on the theme: congratulations! :)

I actually forgot to try yours, so thanks for reminding me! Rated and congrats for the cool idea! ^-^

Rated and thanks for the advice! ^-^

Rated! I can’t leave a comment right now but I can tell you that your idea is incrediblly creative and the moment to moment gameplay, while a little difficult for me, is fun and entertaining. Good job! :)

Already played and rated yours! :)

Thank you for the kind words! Yeah, they really are fragile creatures, I’ll need to make them live a little longer ^-^’

I really am so sorry, but I can’t manage to launch your game not having GameMaker Studio installed :(

Rated and loved! I don’t have the time to write a comment but I’ll tell you this: yours was one of the most creative ideas I’ve seen so far, and the execution was flawless too! Great job! ^-^

I’m so sorry, but I can’t seem to be able to launch your game since I don’t have GameMaker Studio installed :(

Rated! I unfortunately can’t write a comment right now as I’m trying to rate as many games as possible before the voting period ends, but your game was pretty fun: the only “negative” aspect are the controls, which are a little hard to pick up :)

I really don’t have any, but I tried your game anyway and rated it! Unfortunately I don’t have time to write a comment, but let me tell you that your idea is incredibly original, fun and also educative! Good job! :)

Rated! I’m sorry but I can’t really write a comprehensive comment now, but let me tell you this: your game is incredibly fun and polished, and I love the puzzles you came up with to fit the theme (especially the one in the second level, having to use the enemies to open the door is a great twist!) ^-^

Played and rated! Right now I don’t have the time to write a comment, but I can tell you that I pretty much enjoyed your entry :)

Rated! As I’ve said to others, I can’t write a comment right now because of the limited time: just know that I absolutely love your idea and execution, is incredibly creative and in theme! ^-^

Rated! As I’ve said to others, unfortunately I can’t write a comment write now, but I surely will if have some time left!

Rated! Right now I don’t have the time to write a comment unfortunately, just know that I liked your game a lot and the only criticism I have is that measuring things in seconds can be a little confusing ^-^’

(1 edit)

Rated! Unfortunately I don’t have time to write a comment at the moment, but I’ll surely do if I finish trying every other game in this thread in time!

Thanks for the idea!

I definitely intend to change the way that walls are drawn, I don’t love it myself: the original idea was to allow the player to doodle freely on the screen like you suggested, but I couldn’t seem to make it work in a satisfactory way during the limited time of the jam so I decided to switch to this less interesting version. ^-^’

Rated and commented, I hope you like the constructive feedback! It is done with the best of intentions, I really think your game could become something incredibly fun! ^-^

Great idea for the jam, definitely original! Unfortunately the execution leaves a bit to be desired, probably due to the time constraints of the jam.

While the visuals are incredibly good and polished, the music is a bit repetitive but fitting and driving into zombies with the chainsaw feels amazing, the game appears overwhelmingly challenging at first because of the 5 towers to defend; that is until you realize that the zombies don’t seem to do any damage, at which point the fun part of driving over zombies starts to feel useless. That’s a real bummer! :(

Also, it definitely feels like there are really few zombies! That’s probably because they are split among the five towers: if you reduce the number of towers (maybe 3 or even only one) and increase the number of zombies there will probably be more hordes of zombies to annihilate, and I assure you it will feel so good!

Another thing I’ll say is the Ai companion feels a bit dumb, tending to get stuck on walls: while that’s definitely funny the first time, it can get annoying very fast. As somebody already pointed out, it should also probably be near the player for most of the time: you can easily lose it and never see it again because of the largeness of the map.

Overall your game is a rough gem ruined by some game-breaking issues, but it is a nice start that, if improved, can become something really fun: keep it up! ^-^

Rated and commented! I absolutely loved your game, Very Tired Person ^-^

One of the absolute best games I’ve played so far! The idea is incredibly funny and on theme, the gameplay is intuitive and fun, the visuals are pleasing, the music is a banger and the writing is absolutely hilarious, what could I ask more? ^-^

This deserves 5 stars on every aspect, it really is so darn fun! The only thing I’ll say is that sometimes the bots fall outside the screen and there’s no way to recover them, which can feel a bit unfair. But they are oh so dumb, so what can we expect? :)

Rated, commented and absolutely loved yours! ^-^

Oh my good, this is such a cool idea! And the execution is great too!

The concept of giving up your ability to deal damage effectively and having to move instead in order to herd drones in the direction you want is absolutely brilliant, and immediately made me fall in love with your game. It is true that, as others say, herding the drones is a bit difficult as it is, but the addition of some sort of companion (ex. a dog) to help you direct them where you want could fix that: and what if you had to move this companion with the mouse? ;)

I also love the artstyle and animations, and the absence of music is really a bummer, as it is the fact that the game ends at wave 11: give me some more, I need it! ^-^

Rated and commented, great job on this one :)

Rated and commented! :)

Cool concept, an interesting spin on the theme! The visuals are simple but nice (good work on the menu btw) and the controls sharp and responsive; the absence of music is really a bummer, but it is not that big of a deal after all.

Unfortunately the game is a bit too hard to play even at standard difficulty due to a series of factors: first of all the fact that you can only hit the highlighted pusher, meaning that if you happen to get one highlighted that you are physically unable to hit because of the random generation of platforms you have to wait for a long time, increasing your chances to get accidentally hit. Also, the visual hint that the laser is about to shoot is a bit too short and often I found myself jumping, having the laser stop mid-air and getting hit on the way down, which can feel a bit frustrating.

Apart from these issues, though, the game idea is really interesting and its difficulty cam mean that you get motivated to try it a bunch of times. If you polish the mechanics a little bit more this can really become a cute little game, so keep up the work! ^-^

Thanks for the feedback! You’re right on all regards, and I’m already working to balance things out and improve every aspect of this mess after the jam ends. ^-^

Rated, commented and enjoyed! ^-^

Holy cow is the vacuum sound loud! ^-^

Jokes aside, the game is really solid and fun! The concept is simple yet appealing and so is the artwork. The puzzles are really interesting and I love how some of them even allow multiple solutions: maybe you could implement a rating system that gives the player a discrete score depending (for ex., 1 to 3 stars) on how much blocks they placed and how much moves they needed to reach the solution.

Really a great job, would absolutely like to see more! :)

I’m sorry, I can’t seem to be able to launch your game since I don’t have GameMaker installed :(
