Great game! It's really crispy and quick, visual and sounds fits perfectly. Not easy to win and everything comes down to the last few rounds but it keeps the tension high for the whole run! Great job!
Very unique card game which fits the theme of this game jam perfectly, playing cards with an AI and keeping both alive.
This was a very fun game to conquer, once you pay attention to what cards the AI is going to use it becomes a lot easier.
Very nice stuff, really like it and I think you can expand upon it!
Awesome work!
This is really good! Everything about it is awesome: the visuals, the sound, the gameplay, the concept. One of the best I've played so far! This one displays a level of polish that I haven't really found on many others this jam. Great work!
I really liked this game! The only things I disliked is to play kinda fast because of the timer. I would have preferred the version who ends with no cards left and people alive and game over if someone died. In the intro you didn’t talk about red cards, only on the page. And that’s all I can say about the flaws. For the rest, again, I liked really much, the palette (I think is…from Lospec I think? The one with a antropomorphic fox?), sound, idea, execution…one of my favourites.
very unique idea and great execution! i liked that i had to come up with some kind of strategy to win. i’m also a big fan of visuals and sound design here, i really adore the pixel art with 8-bit music
Really cool game. Visuals and music were amazing and it's also nice and simple! Good job!
Nice concept, I'd personally make it a bit harder though I was able to finish it without hassle.
I would probably explain that the red cards do double damage/healing.
Otherwise nice and simple
A really nice-looking game with a cool concept. I liked the music too.
The first two times I lost, I was confused as to why. It said that I or my friend had died when we both still had plenty of health left; it felt like a bug. Only when I came back here and read some of the comments did I realise there's a timer. So I suspect that the time simply ran out, and that's what caused me to lose. I.e. perhaps have a dedicated lose screen for when the timer runs out. (Also, some feedback if the time is getting low would also have been welcome.)
Overall, this is a pretty good game, if a bit prone to becoming repetitive after a while. Nicely done.
I'm glad to see another card game for this jam!
Like some others here it took me a few attempts to get but I'm glad I kept trying! I finally figured out you're supposed to balance between drawing and playing to keep the right cards for the right situation.
What a perfect fit for the theme as well!! Love the music, love the intro cutscene, love the characters and their lines and I love the different ending animations :)
All around 10/10.
Edit: oh yeah one more piece of feedback! it would be nice to see each frame for longer during the intro, especially the ones explaining the rules. You could add a skip button along with that to keep the ability to skip through faster!
Edit 2 (yeah another one): maybe you could mess around with the idea of adding a zen mode where there's no timer! I found myself getting killed by the timer a lot at first
Oh my god, thats sooo lovely of you, thanks for the feedback thats really helpful and all, the zen mode idea is just great, will definitely implement it after the jam! Also the feedback regarding the intro cutscene is helpful because as a developer you lose the feeling of how fast/slow an animation is after working with it for a long time hahah.
