Really cool game!

The game has some annoying parts where you have to make long precise jumps, and it feels like you have to jump when you've already left the ground, but the graphics and sound make up for it

The music and sounds don't get annoying, even after hearing them for 10 minutes(5 stars for that) and failing the same jump for the 5th time, and the graphics make it very clear what everything does

The window is pretty small though, and it can't be maximised, so i had to play with it only filling 1/3 of my screen, so that was pretty annoying, but this is still the best game i've rated in this game jam!

It'd be great if you rated my submission! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-8/rate/1679778

EDIT: accidentally posted this comment 3 times, hope i didn't cause any problems

Nice (but short) game!

I really like the small details like the mushroom guy and the hat falling off when you fall

There are also a lot of skips, i don't know if they're intentional, but i think they should stay, they aren't really letting you go places you shouldn't be

The dangerous bushes don't look dangerous, and it confused me a lot in the beginning when i kept dying, maybe give them some black spots like the big walls

the camera being way to the right of the player feels kinda odd, because the player goes in both directions

The ending is really cool though, i'm not really sure what the little bush meant at the end

It'd be cool to see the blue guy summon the red guy, and them switching between summoning each other

It'd be great if you rated my submission! https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-8/rate/1679778

it seems like you just copied this guy https://insanus.itch.io/get-out

the levels are literally a 100% match. all you changed was the sprites, but you don't mention it anywhere. also, the viking is literally the same sprite. please explain to me why this is not a copy, unless it is a copy and i just busted you

Cool game, the portals are a really cool idea. The sounds are also amazing! But something i think is missing, is a health bar, so you know how many hits you have left, and it'd be really cool if the bullets go through portals too! But other than that, i really like the game.

Amazing game! I really like the atmosphere of the game, and the flashlight. But something that was pretty annoying, was the controls, and that you can't go diagonal, because i usually assume you're able to do that, so i hold both buttons on instinct, and walk right into the monster. But once i learned the controls a little more, it was really fun.

I like the game, it has a really interesting mechanic, which changes the way you normally play roguelikes. I don't know if it's just me though, but there wasn't any music or SFX, which really decreases the impact of things, But if you ignore that, it's a really great game!

I like the game, with it's cool and interesting controls. i like the game, it's has very fun controls, but i think the sensitivity is a bit high. That might be intentional, but if it isn't it'd help if it was lower, to be able to focus more on the enemies. But that is the only problem i found while playing. Great game with great mechanics.

Cool game! i like the whole level design and the gradually growing maze, it really helps with not getting people confused and overwhelmed. It was fun to move around, and the ghost thing really caught me offguard. But something i found a little boring and confusing, was that i had no idea where the keys were, so i just walked around blindly, and didn't know if i made progress or not. I recommend adding an indicator or arrow showing where the keys are, so it's a little less confusing.

But other than that, great game!

Cool game! i like the mechanics and the level design, but i think the objects rotate a little slow, and it was really annoying to die by hitting the spikes with a sword, and then having to restart all over again. But if you ignore that, it's a great game, and it's really fun!

I like the game. I like how it changes rooms, and you have to navigate a new area. But something i don't know if it's a bug or a feature, but everytime i played again, the old player was still there, so i had 2 players to play with, and 1 of them were invincible, so i just used that one to kill and let the other one hide in a corner. But other than that, it's an enjoyable game!

Amazing game! It's a great game, and i played it far longer than i expected to. There is just 1 thing i'd do better, and that is the shop is out of focus, so you might not even see the shop. and idea to make it more noticable is to either make it great contrast, or, which i recommend, animating it to catch the eye of the player.

But other than that, this is an amazing game. take my 5 stars in immersion, which in my opinion is the most important one.

Great game! i can see people have already addressed the issue with the unknown ending, so i won't talk about that. I like it, and really like the idea of different abilities in different... dimensions? Anyway, that's something i haven't seen before. I also like the room design(i'm talking about the visual, not the functional). In the end, i got a little confused about the different rooms, because i had some problems knowing what room to go to, so i just spammed the shift key, until i found something interesting.

But great game, i like it a lot!

I really like the game. The beginning was especially great, because i didn't know any strategies and just tried my way through. The music and art is also really good. Something i didn't like was that you always had to go to the same person and find the item the same place, which just challenged memory more than anything, also because you couldn't hear their message again, so you had to memorize it.

But other than that, it's a very good and enjoying game.

Great game, especially the gameplay. In the beginning i was kinda annoyed about the enemies going for the feet and not the head, because it didn't give me the opportunity to hit them, but i later realised that it helped focus on vertical movement, which i ended really enjoying. so the game is great, but i think it needs a tutorial. other than that, nice game!

Cool game, there are a few parts missing from the game, but the things in the game are made very well, like the camera shake. I don't know if it's just me, But i don't hear any sound, which is understandable, considering the short time. Something i think would help out is a warning of where the enemies are gonna  come from, because i found myself dying due to me clinging to a wall. I strongly recommend to keep working on the game, because If you do all of the features in the game like you've done this, it could be an amazing game!

but overall, great game, very enjoyable.

hmmm, try looking in the f12 console for any errors, and if there are no errors, try opening the game in another browser, like microsoft edge

Thanks for your feedback!

can you please tell what internet browser and what operating system you're using, because that might be the problem. I, for example, use chrome and windows.

a screenshot of what you're seeing would also be nice.

really cool game, it's fun to play, and great idea! there are a few minor bugs i found(if a player is standing on a white trigger and the other player steps off, the game thinks there are no players on it), but nothing too big to destroy the game. the levels are also very hard in platforming skill, which may cause people to not want to play it. i really like the sound of players dying, i could jump into a red square for hours and just listen to the sound.

overall, great game with great potential, i could imagine this as a game you would play on coolmathgames(it's a compliment btw) while having class.

UPDATE: my teammate left me, so if you still want to make a game with me, i'm available again

hi, sorry, i already found a team, sorry.

you too!

i wanna join the jam, but i don't want to be alone for it, because i've done that in the past, and it keeps stressing me out.

i am pretty good at programming in unity, so if you need a programmer or need another programmer, contact me on discord!

Mimijackz#3527

i haven't heard from you for a week now! do you still want me on the team? because if not, i'd like to know, so i can find another team in time

i think you sent a friend request, but i declined it because i didn't know who you were. only after i declined i realised it. can you sent a request again

do you use discord? if so, my tag is Mimijackz#3527

i use C#(Unity) and hope to find a team. another programmer would be highly appreciated

thank you for your feedback. i know that you sometimes can't move and gets stuck, but i didn't have time to fix it. and when you unlock 5 upgrades, you unlock an extra upgrade slot. i probably should have mentioned that.

what i mean is, is it ok to have credits in the submission text only?

just wanted to know

and then i tried to fix it, but now the time is up, and i didn't submit my game :( can i get some f in chat

that sounds like groundhogs day, and i like it

i think the mods will hate us

i don't think you can, unfortunately

i'd recommend you make a creative idea for a game, not just rewind time ability like everyone else

you could make a game, where you rewind randomly, or something like that

a game about restarting, so basically every puzzle game ever

what are you guys making a game about?

cool game, i like the simple theme, but i would love to see some way to win, or even see how good you did, so you have a goal.
