I don't see why not. I was thinking of making a workshop in mine. From my knowledge Metroidvania games are Metroidvania games because you get abilities that let you explore more and better. I feel like innovation is always a good thing.
Thanks everyone for the responses. I hope to make updates to everything. Make the textures more detailed, expand on all the mechanics and create more. There is a long road ahead.
The story in the game I'm making is based on my experience being trans and as of Wednesday I got HRT patches and in two months I might move to pills or injection. Also as of yesterday I'm a dog mommy of 2 pups.
