I like how different it is from Snake! But the telegraphs for the hazards were a bit off at points

Thanks! I was wondering if anyone else would do the ratking concept lol

This is really interesting! But I had a lot of trouble with the second level. Aiming is tricky and those pitchforks are devastating. Maybe I'm missing the trick to it?

Interesting concept!

I got the high score!

RavenBane, thanks for the feedback! By the end of the game I think there are maybe 12 or 13 inputs. We originally wanted to have all 26 alphabet keys required, but we ran out of time to implement those. Now that would have been interesting! We might make a post-jam release but nothing is set in stone right now. It would be nice to go back and fine tune the pacing and difficulty, for sure!

That's great! Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! We were trying to find the right amount of visual feedback that would help the player without making the text terminal seem pointless. But I agree there could be a bit more visual feedback like that in some regard.

Mika, when the silhouette in the top right corner becomes green from adding pilgrims, you should be able to press the key you assigned to create a new sector again. You need to call a guard to bring in pilgrims.

Aww, sorry to hear that! Your game is beautiful!

Glad you liked it! :)

Secret for ya. Pressing space bar will give you an icon conveying the issue in each sector. We were going to include them normally, but then I think the terminal would have been useless. Perhaps we should have had some kind of scanner that tells you the specific problem, but works on a cooldown so you can't spam it.

Thanks for the feedback! Finding a sweet spot for pacing was pretty tricky and we couldn't really fine tune it as much as we would have liked. My biggest concern was making the game too hard at the beginning, since that's a pretty bad problem for a lot of game jam games.

Thanks! Game Maker Studio 2!

Was lots of fun once I figured out how it worked. Seems best played with a friend

Yeah, I think once you build too far out, you can accidentally create a phantom sector that gets affected but can't be seen. Thanks for the video, and I'm glad you had some fun with it! Maybe one day we'll find you father.

The game jam theme was "Out of Control" so we tried to create a game that makes you feel like you are losing control. Sectors are actually named after the other moons in our solar system, so they are a bit weird.

We were going to characterize the AI and Marty a bit more, but we didn't have time to really flesh out all the details of their complex and compelling backstories.

Glad you liked it! We had some extra visual effects we wanted to add in but ran out of time to get everything implemented. I'm super happy to hear you enjoyed all those little touches. Writing the AI dialogue was really fun for us.

We were planning on adding a punishment for spamming keys, but decided to leave it to give players some slack. I'm bummed we didn't get the text alignments right. Glad you liked the humor!

Gotcha. Any resolution not 16x9 probably won't display right. Thanks for playing though! I appreciate it!

Hmm... an escape key would have been good. Were you playing in full screen or a window?
