Sorry for replying that late:

I thank you a lot for that feedback and will think about it in close future.  I will definitely rework the primary loop and think about and think about turning the secondary mining loop into something a bit more optional maybe.

I like the idea of random events. I surely can realize that somehow and will think about a range of possible encounters (maybe some negative ones which you can avoid more with some upgrades). About the discovery over a certain distance. This will probably take some more effort to realize it but I will keep it on my idea list.

Do you have some ideas for me how to use that potential?

what you mean with polished? What you think would be missing to work out as a mobile game?

I thank you for your feedback and would appreciate a second try but I was within another Game Jam and had no time to fix the relevant bugs yet. I am starting today and try to figure why the game freezes. I will send an update as soon I am done including the updated camera position!

The middle green button is the minion inventory where you can change place with a minion. It exchanges afterwards with a "turn back to Necromancer button".

if you revive enemies after combat they stand up again and disappear after 2 seconds. You will find a new entry in your minion inventory then.

About the controls stopping to work and the view I will have a look. I will probably push an update after jam then. But thank you for the feedback.

I honestly died pretty fast and had troubles to see the theme within but apart of that it was still pretty fun to play! And yes reminded me a lot about classic Super Mario.

The update is ready. I just wait for the end of the rating to upload it.

The concept is nice but the enemies randomly die or I lose the game, the usage of the word "noob" I consider as inappropriate considering that people maybe want to check out the level building as well which is probably impossible without making progress due to a buggy killing system but in general a good idea and good first work after one month.

I liked it even if those skulls between confused me somehow. Just one thing that honestly annoyed me a bit... The backgroundmusic. A clip of maybe 3 seconds in a loop.  But hey, it's a learning by doing, right? This time you did good, next time you do better! ;)

Very fun concept. I was sorry for that blobby guy but still then it got me smiling!

I liked it, is a nice little platformer.

I personally would have wished for some variety within the background music.

To start with good words first, yes I like the artstyle too, simple but sympathic! The gameplay is classic and nice and I think the upgrades were good as they are. I felt the differences and overall I think it is a nice job you did!

Can it be that you lose your upgrades if you die too often? At least I think I lost my fast shooting rate after two deaths. Apart of that I have to admit that I struggle to find the idea of death = progress here. Hit seems to be progress by recieving upgrades but death seems to downgrade (if it wasn't just a bug or temporary upgrade)?

I liked it, it's quite fun to play within little breaks for instance even though the purple soul frenzy seems pretty overkill and the text seemingly isn't correct in shop and end screen. In shop it says each soul counts as 1 or 2 or whatever but your soul-value seems to have a multiplier of 2 and in the end screen you forgot a space in front of I you if I remember right. ;)
And personally I would prefer an audio loop. After the track/tracks ends it feels a bit empty without sound.  (or is it a bug?)

Glad to read that, thank you.

About those pits I am honest that this was purpose as it shall be an interpretation of making in life and regulary you never can really see if a decision leads you really further or ends up in a dead end. Even if not every dead end is as deadly as those in game, sorry. :P

everyone hates unskippable texts as I see. :P

I will update that soon. ;)

An interesting mechanic, I liked it! Good job.

I loved it. It's a pretty work and solution for Death = Progress.

When may I expect the next levels?
