Thank you for the high praise!
I definitely need to clarify the unity of drama part. I liked the phrase, but I suppose it's not self-explanatory. :)
Thank you for the feedback! Some great points for clarification. :)
What's a good length of play needs to be worked out in testing, I suppose. My estimation was that with a chapter length of about two hours, some setup before that probably takes half an hour or more, we're talking more than six hours for three players. I tend to play short sessions, so that would definitely be more than one for me. But maybe shorter chapters will work better to make it a one-session experience.
Lovely choices of illustrations, and the central metaphor about the non-Newtonian fluid is excellent. Making books the centre of the game is a good thematic choice. One could not think of a better choice of stats for a Borges game!
The d100 table is powerful and evocative without being overladen with description.
Maybe some parts were a bit generic (using the pizza as an example, the principles of play that could have come from any indie game book); I imagine these could have been more Borges themed as well.I like structures with set sessions, chapters and preparation, and I think this system does that well, guiding the players through it. Unfortunately, I don't feel confident rating this game due to my lack of Italian. While I can see a lot of Borgesian influence, in structure and style, the machine translation does not do a good job with the text, which turned quite confusing. On the other hand, this state of affairs is in itself suitable! Could a truly Borgesian game even be translated? :)
Love the use of the quotes!
