I found a way to consistently get unlimited points, all you have to do is run fast enough and just run circles around the bear since it'll always try to follow you :)

I really loved this one! At first I thought RNG was going to be a major issue but you get plenty of turns and plenty of room so your margin for error is pretty large, which is great. I also sometimes found myself in situations where two bombs were on a collision course and there was nothing I could do about it because I completely forgot to keep track of one of them. If I were to suggest one thing, it would be to put an animated siren on producers that were on 0 so that I could keep track of them and stop wasting bombs like the silly person I am.

I love the concept of having a limited time to explore and get upgrades, but the "out of control" aspect means I cannot rely on my skill and instead I have to rely on the whims of RNG to succeed, and it just felt shoehorned in. Plus the fact that, along with restarting, pressing R floods the screen with corpses, meaning a single mistake and you have to either wait until your time runs out or contend with a screen full of corpses.

Not much I can say that wasn't already said except... WOW that music is extremely loud, I had to completely mute my machine just to play the game, so I don't know how good the sound design was other than that.

I love the concept, however a few flaws hold it back too much in my opinion. One tiny flaw is that you lose controls at the beginning of each wave whereas the description only says you lose controls if you get hit. The only problem this really led to was a bit of confusion. However the controls themselves are very hard to grab and keep escaping your grip. The escaping is fine, although it would be nice if it couldn't happen so frequently as it did sometimes for me. The difficulty grabbing them is likely due to their hitboxes being strange. One last thing that frustrated me was when the guy in the blanket stuck to the bottom of the screen so I couldn't shoot him.

I love all the animations, although I found the puzzle itself really easy once I figured out how the game works.

Very fun game with a lot of potential, however it's always easy to tell which control to disable based on the forced-control panels in the level.

Thanks! I was planning on allowing use of items between battles, but there aren't any enemy tanks between battles, so you'd basically get to use the items for free, which I didn't want :P

Thanks for the feedback! You are right, getting the mechanics themselves down left little time for smaller details.

I like the idea of the timer changing speed, but I did intentionally make it the exact speed it is so that it would line up with the music. If it doesn't line up, then timing it would be much, much harder (I guess I want to make it harder anyway, so I'll actually play around with this idea).

And yes, after the jam (after the voting ends) I intend to give this game weekly updates to make it more complete ;)

As far as gameplay goes, the system itself is great, and I had a lot of fun with it. However, I felt that the enemies did have a little too much HP, but it's not much of a problem, since whaling on enemies is still pretty fun. Equipping different items was pretty roundabout though... perhaps pressing W could open a quick item menu?

The writing as actually really great, and made me laugh quite a few times. At first when I saw the writing style I was afraid it would be kinda cringey, but you actually managed to pull it off well! One small gripe is that the game never actually told me how to use items, so I had to figure it out myself. :P

As for the aesthetics... it's Time Fantasy. What more can I say? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The theme interpretation is... pretty average, to be honest. It's by no means bad, but it's basically what everyone's doing :P

Overall, I had a lot of fun with this demo. There were a couple bugs, (such as the boss' hp bar being displayed as "Goo" with 1000 hp before I hit him) so I'm really excited to see the full version :D

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!

The levels are always the same; there are 21 of them :P

He's not invincible, just has a lot of hp. ;)

The game itself wasn't meant to be so hard, but if you refine your tactics then you shouldn't have too much of a problem. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

(1 edit)

If you tap the wall in the upper left of the first area, the screen goes grayscale, and if you save, there's no getting color back without reinstalling. Please fix this!

Edit: also, in the cave on G6, if you blow up the rock, leave, and come back, you can't push the block. :(

Thanks for the input! (Even if it wasn't exactly positive xD)

1) That was intentional. Perhaps not a good decision, though...

2) Oops! I had forgotten to restrict those specific tiles... Sorry! Thanks for letting me know!

3) I didn't have much time, I just threw together what I could. Let's just say I don't expect to win.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

4) Didn't have enough time to implement it...  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If I ever decide to remake this game (which, knowing me, I probably will eventually), I will remove most if not all of the RNG factor, so you can choose to avoid battles, at the expense of not getting EXP which is needed to defeat some of the Monarchs.

I've made a map of the game, and added it to the game description. Go to the game page if you want to see it. :)

(Ignore the red lock in the middle, I forgot to erase it.)

Reaching lv 5 isn't your priority. I was able to beat the game with relative ease when only defeating the enemies that I encountered normally along the way.

And did you know you can keep playing even after the timer has run out, so you can take your time to figure out a route. :P

The description doesn't show on this page. I'll copy-paste it here if you don't mind: In this game, you find yourself in a sprawling labyrinth, and you must find keys and defeat enemies to escape within the time limit. The map is huge and complicated, so it's recommended that you take some time to explore and make a simplified map for yourself.

@Ceramique Thank you! :) It's not intended to be beaten on the first try, you're supposed to explore and deduce the fastest route. :P

@Ariomaru Thank you! :) When first starting the game, I had set the time limit as 5 minutes. But when it got to the point where I realized I needed to increase the time, it was too late to make it smaller. :P
