It’s hard to do, and I’ll admit it took me a few tries to get it right. You’re able to actually hook up into the vent through the control room without any assistance; just the hook and the right jump will let you throw it to the high side of the vent wall. When you tighten the cable you’ll bob outside the vent, but if you crouch and hold spacebar (at least that’s how mantling worked for me) you’ll be able to pull into the vent at the right moment.

It’s a struggle but certainly possible.

Interesting, I’ll have to look into this on my new save. I’m newer to the game so I had no clue this existed.

I have no clue about any NVG setup for the game. The only reference to anything letting you see through the dark would be the cameras you can buy, which all have IR functionality. If there is an NVG headset, it may not be finished yet.

You’re good; I was wondering the same thing when downloading the game for the first time, even though I had already looked through the FAQ. Even though EternityDev does not plan for multiplayer (and I think this is an amazing choice), I have a feeling that the modding community may find a way to make it work. Subnautica has a multiplayer mod (even though it’s janky as all hell), unsupported by Unknown Worlds and runs off of P2P connections. It’s definitely possible, but if a mod does come out always be safe with it.

Echoing what @Bobidjoni said, it’ll take quite some time. I hope that EternityDev takes their time with the project, because this is something special that should be given proper time to be created and nurtured. It’s already amazing in 0.7.0, so I hope that the new versions are just as good, even if they’re minor.

.7z works well enough. Just as usable as WinRar, imo. Then again I’ve been using 7Zip for a long time.
