Yo, this is cool!

Nice work!

thanks I felt and still feel a bit foolish to try homebrew. There are so many nice entities including your.

I added an emulator+rom. Download, unzip, and click run_me.bat

There are several tutorials, but I also have a few github that help beginners get setup. (Also a channel called Wituz on youtube that has a PSX dev tutorial series - but he uses very old software to compile the games).

Basically the steps to get to iso:

1) Setup the development environment (SDK + compiler + make)

2) Compile the ps-exe (most emulators can run this - but of course it does not contain audio CD)

3) Use a tool such as mkpsxiso to make the CD image (if necessary)

A good place to get you started:

You have to have an emulator installed / unzipped.

You then unzip the bin/cue file from Buzzy Bee, and then load the Buzzy Bee bin / cue file into the emulator (same as you would for any other PSX image/rom).

The previous of this game actually made me sad :P
Because my first idea for a game was something similar to this, then I saw this submission and thought to myself... "no way can I top that".

Good game!

Oh man, so good mechanics, atmosphere, everything... the sfx maybe could be the only thing I would want to improve but....... great game. :)

I love the potential of this game, but enemies are too close to the main player, making it very difficult to navigate and shoot. But love everything else, the mechanics, colours, textures, speed. :)

Love the resident evil vibe!

Like it, but coming from someone who made a 2D game... this is definitely feeling pre-32bit. The music brings it up to modern tech though.

Great mechanics, and good cloning of MGS. It needed a way of seeing what's around the player, but over all well made game for a jam! :)

I am a sucker for racing and drifting - so I loved this one!

This felt very PSX-like. Like the concept. I love games with unique constraints - the lack of a jump was nice. Turns it into a semi-puzzle platformer.

I think some of the sounds are identical to MGS, but whatever it is - this is a well polished, PSX looking MGS clone - I love it, amazing that this was done in 2 weeks!

By far one of the best games I tried so far.

The graphics are nice, player animations are nice, dialogues are nice, sound effects are nice, colours are nice.

Not a fan (with controller) of the right stick panning. Maybe fixed camera or inverted right stick.
I am sure I would love to play it even more had it not been for the panning.

Solid platform! :)

Oh - 1 minor thing, first time I played, the start menu did not let me select Start/Credits (as if I had gone into a hidden selection).

Enjoyable, and has that scary atmosphere of Resident Evil. The music really elevates the tension.

Perhaps what could be improved is the walking step sounds of the main player, and the flickering textures.

Love to see a real homebrew! :)

I could not run it on my PC without issues... (I had to re-run the exe several times, most times I got to the game start screen, but I could not click start). When I finally started it, the bee was continuously going in a circle.
EDIT: On my 2nd PC it worked.

On the browser the game played better, but I could not see the full screen (the map was cropped off).

Nice effort. Would have loved to hear sounds.

I enjoyed playing this. I was surprised to see a Scratch game, but it works. Some later levels were easier than late ones.

The triangles are too sensitive to contact (especially in level 2). I would have maybe put a smaller hidden triangle beneath each triangle, and make the contact detection with the smaller triangle. Keep up the motivation.
