Sooo good and helpful! Thank you so much

(3 edits)

Hey Hythrain,

thank you so much! I would love to see your video. I see two solutions to the length issue: Add more anomalies or like you said shorten the time. You're not the first one to mention this, so I will try to work something out.

I don't think any background music would fit such a game, but I wanted so play something atmospheric in the background. Like some noise or buzzing.

Nate, thank you sooo much for your post! The in depth google doc is super helpful and I got some ideas of improvement from it already. I will take your feedback to heart and am motivated to work on this game. Just so you know: I think the initial loading time is due to some web export issues with the Godot engine :/ I'm still trying to figure this out.

Omg thank you so much! It means a lot to get such a positive feedback 🥹

Thank you so much for your feedback! The eerie atmosphere is indeed wanted. But how about turning off the dog jump scare in the settings? So everyone can decide if they want it on or not - would be a simple fix.

Auto-selecting the room is a feature a lot of people requested. I will make sure to implement this and of course a lot of more anomalies 💪

Thanks for your feedback!  More anomalies are already planned, so  every anomaly will only occur once per playthrough :3 I think it would be too easy to point out the missed anomalies...but I could enable it for easy mode only or as a settings value so the players can decide for themselves.          👍

Fun little game! I really liked the atmosphere (setting, music, graphics).

I suggest adding a background color to the itch page, because it's very difficult to read.

Hey there,

I try to switch costumes while the app is in the background (not minimized) but is isn't working. I  have the default 1,2,3,4.... shortcuts. I would like to link them to my streamdeck, but this won't work unless the shortcuts work in the background. Is there any workaround or fix?

Have a look at   https://vdo.ninja/  for this instead .  Your friend needs OBS and the model in PNGTuber Plus. They then send you a ninja link and you can import this as a browser source in your OBS instance.

Same here. I can't speak for Windows, but on macOS I cannot move the window at all. Resizing also doesn't work. Would be neat to implement this.

On macOS (Ventura) it's:   /Users/{your_username}/Library/Application Support/Godot/app_userdata/PNGTuberPlus

(but I had Godot installed before.  Maybe you have to manually create it)

Really love the art style! I beat the roboter first try. I just think you could have find a better way to include the theme.

Thank you so much!

Hello everyone, my fiancée loves the "I'm on Observation Duty" series, so I tried to program the whole thing in pixel graphics and Godot. You can play it on browser or download it for Window or Linux.

I'd love to hear some feedback. Was it easy to understand? Too easy to find the anomalies? Any bugs?

Thank you very much in advance!

Thank you! I wanted to wait for the jam feedback and then see if the game was well received. I definitely still have a few ideas for this :)

Loved the confetti ending <3

I love these kinds of puzzles but unfortunately I don't know where it matches with the jam theme "Power".

A final "That's it, you beat all levels" would be the icing on the top of an already excellent cake!

Super cool concept! First level as tutorial was brilliant. No more instructions needed

Really cool concept! I just found it a little difficult to figure out which floor tiles I could walk on

I guess this must be a bug, cause I totally wanted the flashlight to reset :D So thanks for reporting this!
The flashlight mechanic took me some desperate hours, so thank you very much! (And you're totally right with the music xD)

You're totally right :) As a lefthanded person I mostly use arrow keys to walk, but WASD is more common for sure.

Find This Pixel Anomaly

Thank you so much for your feedback! You're totally right, even though it is just a prototype, it could need some more instructions. I have a lot of ideas for this one, like paying with vouchers; knowingly letting customers pass without paying;  returning items;  etc. :) And also thanks for reporting the bugs!

Thank you so much! This definitely helps keeping me motivated 😁

Thank you for checking out my thread!
My game is about finding anomalies  in a set of security camera footage. It's heavily inspired by "I'm on Oberservation Duty". My fiancée loves this series and I wanted to try to implement this in my own style.

>> Your task involves monitoring real-time surveillance camera feeds, identifying any irregularities within the monitored areas. These anomalies can vary from missing furniture to cute visitors. Found an anomaly? Report it to your boss and hope it will get fixed in time. Can you find all of them? <<

You can check the game out here:  https://nickhatboecker.itch.io/find-this-pixel

Any form of constructive  feedback  is very welcomed. I'm afraid that it's too easy or too boring, because it lacks the horror-atmosphere of the original title. What do you think?

woah you're fast, thank you sooo much!

Omg I love those!! QQ Could you pixel some kind of scanner to scan food at the cashier? I'm trying to implement some "Papers Please" like game as a cashier

Please provide this in English and for macOS or web 🙏 I could use this to easily find a frame number, after cutting the spritesheet

I love this! Thank you so much for your awesome extensions!

Hey there, the feature to analyze colors and replace them sounds awesome! I installed the extension and opened the "Analyze Colors" window. All colors are listed, but  unfortunately I  cannot click on them, like shown in your video. Just nothing happens on click.    I'm using Aseprite v1.2.35-arm64 on macOS. Hope this helps.

Hey guys,

I'm   developing a top down RPG  and I just can't find any  way to implement this typical text/typing sound. A very good example is the Phoenix Wright series I think. In this game it is more of a  typewriter sound. In other games it's kind of a synth sound, I guess?

I'm developing in  JavaScript (with Phaser Framework). But I guess it will be very similar in other languages.

So where would I find  a sound for this and how could I implement it, so that it matches the text length? My   assumption would be to repeat the sound until the typewriter functionality gives notice of having finished.

Would be very happy for any advice.

Thank you very much!

Best regards

Nick

Thank you very much! I really enjoyed the simplicity of the Undertale art style. And besides: Sans is a great name for a dog!

This video helps

You can fix it with this video

Had the same problem. You can fix it with this video :)

It seems like you must have a resolution/browser width of at least 1001px to display the texts correctly, because itch otherwise does not size the canvas correctly. :/ So thank you very much for pointing this out. Maybe I can provide an exe file in the future.

Oh no, unfortunately I cannot replicate this :/ Could you please tell me the resolution you played it with?

Oh thank you so much QQ That really means a lot!

Yeah that's where the prototype ends right now 😄🙈 In the finished game you will have three different kinds of evidence of course
