ahh no problem, glad to have been of help! and yeah no worries, the numbers were visible now again for now in spite of the font, also succeeded finding the second end finally (was quite a cherry on top like the best for the last there), so got all ends! thanks for the hint, keep up the good work 👍

looking good and enjoyed it, warmed up quick to Luminous (partly because he reminded me lots of my top fav comfort character), but his own individual evasive, blushy behaviours+fluffy hair sold me too.

only glimpses of his yan trait so far (that I felt bad of escaping and not agreeing to the deal, I thought the candles might not go out so easily tbh), 2 weeks for all that designing, coding, added effects for the text with completed ends were still hard-earned work as is, i look forward to more content with him!<3 what with the cool icons, you could pass up as a niche legit developer deserving following and audience in just few more other works released.

encountered an error, with the font i think, I've downloaded the fonts since that was what it needed to usually fix up the problem, but, the numerals/number words, dates and such were still not visible as you can see below, they were there though since I could go to other pages to save (2,3, ...)

and maybe just a tiny thing i noticed for the warning at the start in-game was gone too fast to be read. the end i haven't gotten was just the second though (or did the 1.5 escaped end counted?)

(1 edit)

have been keeping an eye on this since I vaguely remember finding it on the maleyandere Reddit (maybe in one of the comments if not a post?). And I couldn't keep myself only stay curious so I gave it a try!

The prologue established a modern setting, where a blurred, mirrored version of reality effectively built a compelling and relatable foundation. This transported me back to the good ol' certainly more lighthearted days of playing Alice in the Country of Hearts. Ah, I bet this will be another hidden gem to be looked back on fondly, just like that one.

Also found myself one of them who fell for Warren, he was just almost reassuring in that whirlwind of ruined hierarchy/roles world, pushy-hasty at first, but better despite his control-comply-assurance methods—compared to the 'free-bound' menace brat of a catboy, plus I'm more into rabbitguy with all his (possible imagined) breeding/BDSM fetishes anyway so乁| ・ 〰 ・ |ㄏ imagine when my heart just crumbled at that forceful scene of being separated with him and poor rabbit could only tell me to stay strong or whatever 💔 (honestly i wouldn't bat an eye if he just might get a bit more whacko over this haha, have always loved to see those composed-uptight characters lose their minds and break restrain over themselves, so another reason to look forward to Octavius).

Milo though... He was another level of humourously endearing 'a little confused but he's got the spirit' straightforward bonkers guy.. seemed like he was the dormouse or something? Or maybe just human...

Speaking of which, I noticed his missing sprite 'milo fn' pic around this scene, in case you weren't aware.

title isn't complete without an 'awee' (it's for Android version but point still stands). anyway, this deserves that cute/wholesome tag, i mean it's going smooth(ie) well so far (deliberately avoiding to choose the rather harsher options because i don't have the heart to have the MC as a jerk even in thoughts that may have well been visible on face to her), love how the both are slowly but surely try easing into the phase of getting know each other, and masking their nervousness in their own ways (MC's casual easygoing manner and Kichi with her poker-faced outer, and charm amplified by those head accessories including that stark red hair tie which gave me a feeling of it hinted as really important). both are as far as willing to take the huge step of courage and get that first kiss on first day of meeting to boot! Unless they already shared kisses virtually (like through video call or text icons of emojis and emoticons), which makes it the first IRL kiss or umpteenth kiss, haha.

yeahh it's an increased chance to enjoy anything you drew or worked on.

welp these are the ones i found so far:

(Middle sentence)

(bottom sentence double word)

('at')

and from what could be seen from the example here, text bar has the texts placed not fitted in box, was played on Android.

just one thing i kinda not agree was with MC's action to just outright flip through her sketchbook just because it was laying around in the open though, i mean i would freak out tbh it's personal and all unless maybe there was an indication of her being actually fine with it like in their chats or something. found and screenshotted some typos to tell you, uh if you don't mind again?

finally, best of luck and you deserve that pat on the back for like having done worked for three new projects in the short span of time submitted out for jams, like the dedication is admirable.

ah alright it's okay, take your time! I can see potential here, it's already going well so far aside from.. running out of topics for the moment to increase his affection level, though I'll let it stew and kept on my phone for now, until i reach one of the ends.

(1 edit)

oh wait, i think i found legit bug or something, it's this topic through cooking to ask about recipes.. and i can't ignore this one

And also, this uh 'missing outfit arm' on some points

okay, that made sense and a bit brain fart moment of me, thank you for the clarifications!

finished andd yep, it was intriguing, with certain suspense that had me guessing and theorising a bunch. i think if i had to say.. this game was kind of the good one to start with as an outsider/first player (though not including the mc's own ulterior motives haha) in getting to know Tantei, plus with a title like that, luckily I guessed right on it to spare my own feels of being in the shoes of someone disliked by him.

[[SPOILER]]

I was shocked to say the least i got the 'good' end first try, the best ending i could truly enjoy and was satisfied that didn't involve his death or unhappiness of being stuck together with the mc (whom I'm thinking is Riawa/ultimate nurse that one of your OCs since the major was medic or something like that, haven't checked your OCs intro etc on YouTube so not really sure) was that joke end, oh really good, even better if you had encountered 'him' in Date with Tantei, butt, I have one big question; is this like an alternate universe where Tantei doesn't have the person he's attached to (like the ones in other games more sweeter dynamic with him) or the latter have presumably died and that would explain his nonexistent will to live...?

Only started this one andd seemed really interesting, I mean mostly because it was about Tantei, but this type of simulation game like those Tamagotchi oldies were always fun.

but it seemed like I encountered a problem early on; I can't type in month name when he asked to for the birthday,

can only enter empty and did successfully insert the date but then got this error.

also, umm is this one meant to not have save-load function? scared me bad when i didn't find it..

speaking of, he (and the overall vibes of the game) reminds me of that After School Strategy song, really fits.

spend some time with a chill guy, just chilling around drinking the night away in his cool home AH IT BURNS MY HANDS haha he makes the night bearable even helpimfreezingplease help

A win-win situation to gain a new friend who kindly warm you up with a nice cup of coffee guaranteed to (get you a brain freeze dontlistentohim) melt your worries away! excited to see more of the freaky ass guy after those fin ends oh boy

it was definitely something. It captures the experience, being in the shoes and all that with those thoughts in a way that feels raw and bare—there’s no over-the-top dramatization, just a direct, almost numbing portrayal of what it’s like to exist in that mindset. Even the lack of motivation is reflected through the game’s perspective, making it feel more authentic (and almost cathartic I suppose)

it conveys how unpredictable those thoughts can be—how one moment you’re just going through the motions, and the next, you might decide to go through with it. It's just sudden and basically exhausting to go with the current that's life dragging you along, and sometimes, you don’t have the strength to resist it that you can only drown or hit rock bottom. But there’s always something—in this case, Tantei, a presence (hell okay, he's as much count even as comfort character for me too) offering even the smallest form of acknowledgment, a reminder that you deserve to be here and matters, the little push that could support you up to brave the current and just flowing about...

even if it's not much, it's something, then again there's always something much more; things pulling you back into that abyss-kind of cycle, so suffocating and dark with only lonesome you. But just as there's something dragging you down, there can also be anchors—something, someone, or even just a moment of understanding that stops you from sinking further. It may not "fix" everything, but sometimes, just having something to hold onto is enough. Enough to keep you from slipping away completely. Enough to sit with that darkness, knowing it won’t leave anytime soon, but also knowing you’re not entirely lost to it.

The ends were fine, easy and challenging enough to get them all, it was what make it well-worth too I guess.

That’s what I took away from this game, ah sorry it's some long review and almost late a week;; hope you've been doing fine too.

(spoilers)

okay i just want to say i got true end first try lmao becausee you know, just inserted the name of the protag from My Valentine, i did the same with date with Tantei, im assuming that's like canon OC I'm taking on for him.

(1 edit)

first off about the game; I found that the narrative sometimes juggled indefinitely between tenses, which made it little confusing to follow (this particularly applies to other works that I played earlier too). There were also typos etc. Some plot points (like in one about that asking if the protag was familiar with that detective movie) and for a standalone if I'm not wrong felt a little abrupt, unexplained due to the fast pacing, it lacked like... solid ground basis for how could he and why he acted so in those 'off' moments aside from being his traits counted as part of mystery lore or something, the cat piano scenes and ends were hilarious though. Additionally, while the art was appealing overall, some CGs felt a bit stiff compared to the rest, butt some were charming enough in its simplicity. And maybe it could be enriched more by SFXs, something along them, aside from the soundtrack, overall just need polishing this one can come out greater or just perfect.

I can see how much you've refined these aspects in your newer works, and it’s great to see that impressive progress! If you’re ever revisiting this or working on something similar, a bit of extra proofreading and smoothing out pacing could make the experience even stronger. Which, I'd be happy to help out some on that! I really enjoy your works, and I'd love to support however I can.

lastly, this was just my theory and had been in my mind so I wanted to be sure, but is Tantei inspired off of.. you know those protags from DV3? He was talking almost as if he was the child of them. Considering the name, his appearance, the sprite design here reminiscent of the characteristic style, and added with that fangame you made, it could be like an OC you reserved for that universe, related with those other characters and references, Easter eggs that made way into your current one too, how was the chronology and stuff. So far I noticed there recurrences with Ramu, Mitsuki, his sister, Noreki, maybe more that I missed...

yess finished it 100%, it was this bits of speaking about jokes delivered with a flat face, a court and something along those lines in the calm beauty for me!

annd no problem, glad to have my fun out of this too!

damn i knew it was him as soon as i saw that empty-looking eyes of his on first encounter in this game!

totally worth it and hit the spot to be indulged with that good ol' school dating sim mixed in (slight uncanny feel) of yandere and 'whoa' fourth-break play theme. jusstt short, fun and sweet even the yans :D (earned some chuckle from the chocolate fail on Chitose's part too, lmao)

I think it's as good as a surprise even for anyone who might have played other games featuring Tantei, like this game just will be more new content of him to feast on for his enjoyers. for a new enjoyer like me, it was more a delightful find and I'll be eating well, like I was all gleeful exclaiming 'Tantei? Tantei!? Tantei!!' when noticing rows of games with him on your profile haha.

was kinda hoping for the student council president to be one of the yanderes, because it's always fun for me to see type of character like him turning out like that, ah, still loved him as he was though<3

also found typos (again to take notice only if you're unaware or not)

'ingredients' (Chitose's route)

almost forgot, but I had this problem of the music sounded distorted playing on Android, had played My Valentine and didn't have a problem like this, just thought to again let you know.

Welp, the crazy part wasn't wrong, I mean it's also mentioned/proved multiple times in game, the LI was def the type of more extreme, picky yandere (amplified on that 'yan' part that the dere blurred into kireru/yangire) which instilled the tension of stepping on landmines you have to proceed with caution for having a forced talk with the dangerous kind of mentally unsound person.

So if anyone's looking for a sweeter yan(dere) you could check out another game by the same developer 'My Valentine'!! Or play that one after this, that's what I did to refresh lol.

This Alex guy said he didn't bite, he WOULD do much worse, won't give you any heads-up (or painkillers, help I would've died or passed out honestly) for your harmful punishment, and even the kidnapping will be the least concern of yours. Personally, he wasn't the type of yandere I prefer, but I did enjoy this dark-horror terrible mood the situation set up plus that 1st end about ring finger plastered the bloody icing on the cake. Despite the true/happy end, I found it more satisfying on the third end where you can play along and left unscathed, it was the best win-win you could get out of it all, but you know.

On that note, I think the term decapitation here for the TWs could be more suited as body parts mutilation (inflicted on player), added with those stalking implications and—[[SPOILER]]

if the decapitation refers to the head stab, mentioned as just simply stabbing/head injury whatever would be enough since decapitation is like beheading and that would mean someone's head will be (literally) off separated, as long as the warning turns more specific still general-ish, enough to be prepared for what's coming, and probably as important for other to know if the protagonist is male/female.

also some typos just in case to let you know on 'accidentally'  (accidentally kidnapped, lol.. very 'whoopsie' energy of Alex)

it was a simple storyline put together nicely even in the wrapped packed fairytale pace (like it fit just enough, not too short and complete as a whole). the nostalgic bright artstyle, pretty GUI, general atmosphere and worthwhile choices affecting the characters almost reminded me of those old classic princess maker games except this one was more refreshing and lighthearted (no stress involved, for the bloom of enjoyment to lift your spirits/raise at least a smile is ensured)!

i loved their lively banter, interactions, and those details of different color outline and hue referenced to the prince's characters that kept his loveable trait of how he has a way with words/attitude throughout every personality gave this more life.

i think i've basically got all 4 personality 'routes' but the script read showed it was 97% still, have replayed through and picked options i encountered, even unlocked that 'Will you wait for me' one and got two conclusions of the storyteller and weird girl so thatt kinda bothered my completionist's instict a bit, not really sure what i missed. also there was a tiny one word typo i noticed around heree but otherwise there weren't any bugs, or other errors.

(1 edit)

ohh boy you'll be satisfied and spoiled good with the four kiss CGs that ended smoothly resulting from the variations of their colorful dynamic, distinct personalities in each route and heartwarming reunion! great job on the creative fairytale take that still outshined on its own, too.

always a sucker for Japanese mythology and yandere theme, moreover, the art and GUI was easy on the eyes which induced that deceptively cozy atmosphere. the voice acting could be adjusted matching like ASMR, maybe the mic quality to sound less boom-y, I'm sorry I jumped at first hearing it;; I'm also guessing the description of Rin being seen in silver hair, her earrings and Kai's amber eyes would be some part of things fixed on later, since even his full fox form was displayed with purple eyes too...

so far I'd say he was a harmless yandere (despite all his gaslighting and bewitching -both figuratively and literally- business, he lacked that yan/extreme trait, instead coming off as endearing for his clumsy, mixed in learning attempts to impress and stay with mc. plus after he disappeared in the past only to return and settle into mc's life didn't support a stronger impression of it), but I don't know, I hope maybe he would be fleshed out deeper as a character in general or display that trait through his behaviors more in future update.

I have to say though I didn't really agree with him being painted as an evil/rotten fox that he deserved sealing exorcism since foxes, especially white kind like him, had been known for a messenger of deity or being associated in shrines more probable to reckoned as a powerful creature anyone wouldn't mess with... aside from the status of being very dangerous without the explanation of why and what did he do exactly. I'm weak for foxes and he earned all that sympathy points he succeeded well through playing out that sopping wet cat (fox) abandoned in a cardboard box down some cold, lonely alley, okay? let's hope we could see him with fox ears, maybe a scene of running through his fur, and indulge smooshing face buried in his fluffy, soft fox form damn it he's perfect for cuddling. he may suck at cooking and straight up lying but hes trying his best, he means well most of the time, so this pookie can still hoard my love for that.

absolutely looking forward to the planned progress with this one! -ᄒᴥᄒ-

it's on point with the sealing theme and since the ML is the Japan myth creature himself. For the kiss, I think it was only one depicted through narrative and no CG, fleeting though sweet and bashful.

(1 edit)

this depicted an imagery of falling snowflakes softly kissing your skin like when you would feel the sign of coming winter which let you know it's snowing, the fleeting moment that felt magical... accompanied by the association of bittersweet/melancholy-tinged memories made through that kept you warm as your solace even in the coldest of nights. I love the flower references that possibly tied up to the Greek mythology and all that lore so it was like, strengthened that sanctity element of gods and goddesses.

This project had three kisses; with two completing the entire route of a main ML as a whole and one was almost akin to sealing the 'evil' in another ML to end the lasting winter, with that impression in mind, I admit I was kind of sad about it, a bit unfair compared to the first two (plus the former had other bonus small kisses; forehead and back of hand, what is this preposterous special treatment!!/hj) but, the last did give an indescribable beautiful impact to it, and it was like their first kiss too, I think.. (´;ω;`)

Ah yes, thank you for the update and your response! I greatly appreciate it. I have downloaded the latest version and so played through it again, the missing night at temple bg was there now! But I encountered a different one this time...

Thank you for the hint, I managed to get past that part finally and I think I got like four ends so far?

Spoilers once again//

With two cg kisses in both the middle of Klein's route (ah RIP his pretty long hair and amethyst eyes TT) andd (through some trials and errors, trying out new choices) got another kiss CG by the final of an end in Veris' route... I don't know the other one, but I'm guessing it's in another end of Klein's route, and on a relevant note I don't think I've encountered a scene like the one shown on that last example playthrough scene with that moon night bg. (edit: I found them all! i think i got all ends now, yay! i loved both of the main LIs, enjoyed this a lot thank you very much. :D)

Thought I figured I could let you know about this; I was also looking through the game's folder particularly the backgrounds, trying to identify which one was missing since it could be a typo... but I found these images/backgrounds of warning and disclaimer, so I was thinking if you meant to have these two to display at the start of game, because if they really meant to be displayed, they didn't appear too.

(4 edits)

i didn't expect i would also need a walkthrough for this, because i think i only reached 1 end... and with this meant to suit the kiss-themed jam, i didn't encounter any scenes like that yet thus far.

i don't really have much to say about the characters, still i feel myself feeling more like kind of sad for Veris for the end i got in first playthrough. though it was a bit too sudden, i can't also say if it's really one of his ends or really the end of story since i reached it no matter what and how i had picked my choices.

aside from that, there were some things in need of polishing, particularly overall brightness of the game to the point of appearance sprites like Klein's were hazy for the eyes (the brightness did gave me ethereal vibes on some parts, but perhaps it can be toned down to not heavily drape over the BGs/characters and the sprites can be zoomed in closer as needed like when Klein leans in), the narration format (places of the quotation marks, the bit confusing distinguishment between dialogue and monologue arrangement, typos and tenses...), those were what stood out to me before i eventually switched my playing mode to a casual player without fussing over it much. but, if you need a proofreader, i'd be willing to help though, free of charge as part of experience or something.

  • i wonder if the name for kentaureion kyanos flower was actually pronounced as that in Greek. Crocus flower was correct in its Krokos greek word though.

lastly, there was a missing BG.

this does have potential, and even then, it's a nice enough game considering you were a solo and busy developer, so if given the chance to refine on this or other works at your own pace and in less full schedule, I'm sure it will turn out greater. please keep it up :D take your time. sorry if I was overboard in my criticism/suggestions.

(1 edit)

welp! when that happened, you'd pretend you didn't see anything and carry on it's understandable.

a nice little story that gives a passing chill settle in once you catch on to it like an "oh. 😨"

just hmm, kinda abrupt at some parts they don't tie up in a way of easier comprehension, so it doesn't leave much of an impact. though it was within 500-word limit so i get the difficulty to manage a smoother pace or flow in a story with that kind of limit, i applaud for the efforts of the resulting story which did manage to draw the atmosphere or fitting tone for the scenes. there were some typos that just need bits of polishing, and when-

spoiler:

the woman 'disappeared', i didn't grasp that part really well so i thought she was killed by the leaving rocket somehow and he was catching up only to find her dead body lol. didn't expect she was actually kidnapped.

Hey, first of all, this is a really neato theme, title deserving that name, too and I'm excited to see how it will unfold out from here as I'm playing it.

Though, the first problem I encounter, it seems that I can't save the game beside just on the autosave/slot 0,  Also, I think the game is supposed to be fullscreen like I've seen from others? On me it's just kind of like borderless windowed mode though, with my taskbar still visible and all. I can't play on browser since my hardware doesn't support it, either sooo hopefully these technical issues aren't because of my own device's spec haha, would be a shame but I can watch some players and rate this judging from there, probably, if it turns out I'm unable to play through myself.

gg, (fun)nily enough, spent good four minutes in level 9 rather than level 10 for me. ..also, I think the ice floor texture map seems kind of dizzying to look at for too long esp when you have to think the way out by visualising the route.

liked the silly protagurl right after starting, plus the way the yandere trope was handled and bounced through in a slapstick cliches mix of lighthearted comedic timing cleverly while managing to be in touch with emotional/romantic heartfelt reveal of their confessions, I was in for a chucklebubbling session so I had my fun, the translation made sense enough and the effort went was appreciated that it wasn't structured in usual stiff manner of language plus the humor still landed good—just got a bit confusing at some switched pronouns and such (which was partly the mtl's to blame). Also, the Male Leads' expressions were almost hard to read/took a glimpse of at some moments when my eyes mostly stuck to read the text below honestly thought they were frowning, probably just on my part/perception though, BUT the short POVs of them, really helped, rewarding too and you know, increased my favorability.

To me, Sane fit for Chiyako the most (I mean his color scheme of appearance was admittedly the most contrasting/different compared to others), from their design matching each other being sanpaku and closed eyes-with-fangs couple. I entered his route last, and he gave me the impression of a considerate guy who was at first just passed as an oblivious friend without much chemistry so I didn't expect to warm up to him the most.

Taking second place was Mutsu since he was smart, could easily caught on to her feelings/plans quick and also didn't miss a beat dealing with her, (agreeing to) playing along with her that was even more insane than what she had came up or offered with to do.

I'm sorry Sue ranked last despite being first route I played. Sue was the most hilarious though, and freaky I dare say, but what kind of threw me off was I did think like Chiyako; that he was too carefree I mean I get he was the kind of guy willing to give parts of him to her and allowed him into his boundaries openly, but that made me think he was like some outgoing (oblivious) person who would act or give the same 'special' treatment to others. He still won the spot of being a sweetheart nonetheless, and that action of him being like a matchmaker in Sane's route by setting up his phone lockscreen with protag's photo? Golden, the mischief personification that fit this :3 expression well.

not much to say yet aside from being functional/playable so far, it does have potential, two levels to pass through, music and sounds are there, no bugs/troubles encountered during my playthroughs, and a main theme is available (it gives me sorta cosmic, almost whimsical horror vibes if nothing else) only needs that expanding and update to be something more (wondering if you would add some battle mechanism to avoid attacks that come directly from the moon-y monster itself rather than being an observer). anyhow, good luck overall? 👍

(1 edit)

quite a straightforward survival horror game manufactured through lab research sci-fi elements. Setting foot in the (desert)ed, dry environment, the start was geared up (literally too) for a cautious navigating-around experience driven from urgency, balanced with awareness for the required stimulants. The messy experiment effects taking place which didn't remain buried only as past remnants as they unravelled had me on the edge of seat, especially when the places darkened. By the chase scene near end, tension rose highest before determining the two conclusions suitable for the ambitious scientist stuck between the thin line of stupidity and bravery while his project's consequences out of hand left released upon the world. And to say on those conclusions, they kind of lacked a bit in a way it got me thinking "just like that?" after all the chasing that resulted almost anticlimactic... just wished to see or like expand/wrap it up on what might had happen from there on for a 'smoother landing' I guess, but it was still fun in its short journey worth the shot. Plus, all the custom assets, narrative and applied multi languages (including my own's) proved this game to be already more than appreciated for all the combined efforts.

Oh, thank you for the answer, that was kind of relieving since I had been playing it through so far I think I'm almost complete it.

While I'm at it, are you aware there's a possible bug in the South West room of the Sassafraz fortress? I stumbled upon it after I saved to prepare the moment I got locked in that room, and interacting with terminal after finding all the passwords made the game unable to progress, only stuck there and couldn't access my menu. The killer's sprite had also disappeared at some point.

Hey, so is this version the complete one where it has contained the true ending? Because last time I played it was coming soon and there was some new area with stairs still inaccessible, I wanted to be sure if I did play the unfinished one...

well, it was short, but fun with enough built-up and surrounding atmosphere portrayal to be immersed in, the realistic dialogues, interactions and expressions were enjoyable and gave the characters life (loved 'em all) within the limited scope.

i can't really choose since many of the moments were golden precious in fact, but here are some examples, but some were from when they played otome game together or between hanging out overall. it would be greatly nice if there was a gallery for the list of endings or so.

(1 edit)

this had me enraptured by the characters (all of them in fact but of course mainly our endearing love interest alien Egen with his silly little yet rich expressions), loved the appealing visual/UI & UX, loved the endings, the varying choices and scenes you can get. everything was perfectly comical, light+warmhearted it's bound and guaranteed in filling to your heart's content full satisfied! Worth the hours into the late night i finished it, captured more than 20 screenshots, farmed choices with all endings. This got a 💯% 5 gold 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

almost remembered the name wrong, (again), as phantasmaniac, but ofc, who would be crazy about ghosts in the story?

Anyway, onto the review, I can feel inexplicable hatred to Abel as the game went on, sick of seeing that sprite of his with his smile thinking he's up in the world with that lame bag he always bring i wanted to swing it smack into his face.

The art is neat, and what with blinking animation, subtly changing colour of Abel's eyes, and the effects? that added level into neat-er, cool stuff, spooked into disconnection from reality experience as the MC and I felt just, sad, I guess fearing if I could somehow see myself in the MC's shoes in the future.

But well at least the good side it won't come down to>>spoiler>>

me getting possessed that I could murder somebody or anything, lol. I admit I don't approve Crowley for the things he did, but the implications of missed opportunities he could have had and the hints scattered and picked up throughout the plot, it was understandable or at most he gained my pity-sympathy points yet still managing to be likeable when separated from his ahem bad actions.
