That is good, but to outright ban ai instead of like i said have games use the tag of [ai Assisted] gamename or [Ai image generated] gamename
instead of the outright ban would be better, you could still avoid games with AI art or text or other stuff in it that way, without the need to ban it completely, it isn't that big of a deal last year the contest had only one thing with ai in it. In like 20 + games. So it would be easy for people to avoid it.
I think that is a better way to do it then outright banning it outright.
I searched for transformation game jam 2024 via duckduckgo and got here. But i wouldn't have known about it if i hadn't played some nice games in the 2023 game jam, like the mall, feyes donkey farm and a couple others. I knew it was around this time then last year so i knew it would return this year, without that i would have never found it this year. I do hope it will pop up for people in the search soon tough.
Why the outright ban tough? You could instead have made the rule that things with AI generated content have to be tagged with AI assisted or AI generated as tags, without needing the ban on it. People that are against the use of AI for content creation could easily avoid those games then, while playing the rest. It is pretty easy to avoid it since only one game used it last year which is skyes game.
I really don't see the reason to ban AI outright instead of going for those other options first.
I would love to have a overhaul how the combat works, as a transformed creature. Example, you want whole party to be wolves now you have to grind all the mp down of whole party, till they all are in range, for the transformation attack. But what if we could, instead if we already have a party member transformed, them use the growl/defense down attacks on the own party, instead of only the enemies, that would also cause mp drain? Forcing your party to transform faster into all wolves?
If you did a simular thing for every monster, that could be fun.
You can even make it a toggle in the options menu, so that you could turn it off if you don't want that, especially if you are going to fight a boss, and you don't want a party member that was too low mp that got tfed into a flower to also affect the rest of party (since flowers only have area wide attacks)
