I've made a couple of games here so I'd be down to join

If you're going to do a game jam, make sure your schedule isn't busy. When the theme is revealed, start thinking about ideas and make sure to write them down somewhere to not forget.
Games here are prototypes and don't have to be fully fleshed out. Make anything (as long as it corresponds with the theme and rules) you want and release it!
It's easy to get lost on your project so it's a good idea to add reminders to take breaks at some point. Stand up, stretch, go outside for a walk to clear your mind, and stay hydrated.
Games jams are all about having fun and making something you enjoy. When you release your game, you'll feel proud on what you created and that will motivate you to participate in more jams!
I completed the game but I think the enemies really didn't contribute to the gameplay since I was just skipping all of them. I also think the amount of lives you start with is way too generous since the enemies take like 4 hits to remove 1 heart and sometimes the attacks don't register if you look away from them at a certain distance. The game is and looks good though the enemies can use some tweaking :)
I would've loved to add graphic details but I am no 2D artist so I went for the simple route and just basic shapes :) I also tried to make the game very responsive such as when the cube explodes or falls, you can left mouse click or press space to start again right away instead of waiting for the transition. The custom mode was also another last minute decision and I think I'll probably add more settings.
