There was a sound expansion for the Master System, which gave it sound capabilities that are better than what Famicom had.

Makes sense if you won't add support for it in your homebrew, as it was never released outside Japan.

Are you going to add support for FM Synth? (To make up for Master System having sound capabilities inferior to NES's.)

I think a Master System version with these improvements would be awesome.

Someone made a Wolfenstein 3D clone for Master System, using its hardware advantages for smooth graphics.

I would love to see something similar, but with elevated floors and full 3d movement.

So it actually is possible to make Doom on NES.

It's incredibly impressive!

I've seen other attempts at 3d fps games on a variety of 8-bit systems, but none of them even attempted elevated floors.

The graphics could probably be improved by making it less blocky, but it would take a huge drop in framerate, because of the processing power needed to generate new tiles on the fly.

Anyways, it's an amazing tech demo.

I was gonna make the collision system in my game work by detecting the tile graphics themselves and their positions. (for example, a dude moves if there is 8 pixels of space next to him, and can't move any further if there is a brick tile right next to him without any space inbetween)

I would need to see some code example to know how to make it.

How easy would that be to do?

I'm wondering if the code for attribute-based collision could be modified to be character-based instead.

I want to implement something like that to my game.

I put 0 in accumulator and called 5633 and this is what happened.

(the same thing happens when I put 1)

What I'm trying to do is be able to put UDGs and text on the bottom of the screen without the "scroll?" thing ruining it.

Now the tiles appear to be scrolling from the bottom and disappearing when they touch the top of the screen.

Thanks!

How to disable the "scroll?" message that keeps appearing whenever I try to place a tile in one of the two rows of space on the bottom of the screen?

Please reply.

Just the maps bundled with the game.

How?

There's no .exe file for the converter.

it does nothing

Cool!

Are you also going to make a version for Atari 5200 and 7800?
