I was an absolute catastrophy of a forest owner at first :D It’s pretty hard to keep things in balance, kept chopping my poor saplings way too fast… I was sure Greg 2.0 would make it all better but learned the hard way that there are no magic wands (luckily I could fix it finally with an army of Gregs). What a fun thing to have in a game, these little soil-improving minions <3
I enjoyed the game play and became filthy rich, too - good job, I hope you had a good time jamming!
Thanks for jamming, I really enjoyed playing this game! It took a moment to get a hang of it but once I did, I spent quite a while trying to balance CO2 amount and finances - even after completing all the quests. I could leave it on in the background for the whole day to watch my forests - and wallet - thrive! I was sad when losing those lakes, I wonder if there was a way to save them somehow…
The CO2 amount could maybe have a color code to show the player if it’s going up or down? Green for down, red for up? That way it you could quickly react if the CO2 is going up too much. But on the other hand, not many business owners manage their CO2 impact in real-time - your game is a very nice reminder that they should.
Hehey, the game turned out way epic! Thank you for this invaluable… work experience, goes to the top of my cv :D Wicked humour works well for me - staring at the face of the boss (and oh boy how mean he looks) all day long while working against the clock is quite something. I was expecting negative points or some other surprise if I didn’t manage to keep the saw away from protesters but looks like I got away with it. I started to imagine a storyline, in the lines of Portal, where the confidence of the boss starts to crumble and the lumberjack eventually turns against him in rebellion.
Well done, this is certainly a new kind of a match-3 experience <3
I’m a fan of the visual style, it reminds me of scrapbooks - good going there! The music fits the style just perfectly. My favorite things are the lawnmowers, and Big Mama in the end - that mouth of hers and the realistically heart-shaped fruit feel funny and quirky to me, such a great teaser for the adventures to come. Thanks for jamming!
