Cute little game! I love the visual style, its very cute. I was initially a bit confused on how the game worked, but after the first level, the rest of the game was intuitive. Really great work overall!

Incredible game. You’ve done something really unique and creative here. I loved the story, and the kinda iron-lung-esque picture system was really neat too. I got both the endings, but I was a bit confused while getting the second ending..
Spoiler
..since I don't completely understand when shutting down the radiators why you need to cancel when there is only 1 radiator remaining, and then afterwards shut down that radiator?Otherwise everything about this game was super solid. The ambience and horror elements were done really well, and the game’s terminal theme and art is perfect. Amazing stuff overall!
Hey thank you for the very helpful and detailed feedback!
The screams in the music are sampled from 'Lyn Collins - Think (About It)' and 'Reverend W.A. Donaldson & Congregation - Baptizing Scene (1959)' (a sample from Kanye West's Paris song)
And yes I definitely agree that the art direction was quite weak in this game compared to other aspects like the gameplay, music or UI. art is the part of gamedev that I struggle with most - i often find it quite hard, and not super enjoyable. I attempted background decor / furniture, but scrapped it since it didn't look great. I think spending more time on improving the game's art (and improving my art skills) is a really good idea, and I think your feedback is spot on.
I think the predictable, repetitive aspect of the gameplay is a fair point too. new obstacles or mechanics that are part of the level itself would be my main focus if I extended the scope of the game - things like water refill zones, moving obstacles or platforms, that sort of thing could be nice. I'll definitely keep your advice in mind if i further develop the game.
Thank you again for the well-written feedback, I really appreciate it!
This was such a clever puzzle platformer. The puzzles were designed super well, as the levels often tricked me into attempting the puzzle incorrectly before I got it right. Very satisfying to complete these levels, really great job!
Edit: There were a few very small bugs that you can hopefully fix - restarting while in a jar keeps it open, and restarting sometimes doesnt reset the trail. I was also stuck on level 9 for a very long time, and it doesnt seem possible.
Thanks for playing, and thanks for your feedback! I believe you were playing the 6th level, where there is a big smokey area at the top left - admittedly, its not very clear that it kills you, so I'll try make it more clear in the next update! Currently, the pause menu does mention what level you are on too, but its not very obvious, and I might change this in a future update too
Very interesting game! The concept is super unique, and I have no idea how you made that work. I felt that the character's movement when solid could be improved by making it a bit more responsive. Otherwise, I enjoyed playing through all the levels, and I just love how the main menu looks too. Really good stuff overall!
well you're in luck! there's a speedrun mode in the level select screen, and a leaderboard over here: https://www.speedrun.com/HOSEHEAD
Very creative and interesting puzzle game! The puzzles were very challenging. If you continue to work on this game, I'd recommend teaching the puzzle concepts more gradually, as it can be a bit too tricky and overwhelming to solve. Otherwise, I enjoyed playing it, and I think you did a great job at fitting to the theme!
