These look good, but are all in .gif format. If you're using e.g. godot, you'll have to first convert these to spritesheets and individually pick out animation frames for each animation. Animations seem to be 15x15 pixels, have a margin of 30 pixels from the border of the gif, and 15 pixels between each pair of sprites, making this very inconvenient to use for my case (I think I'll just take the loss and use a different sprite sheet). For $5 I would have hoped for a directory structure like sprites > cats_and_dogs > yappy_dog.png, with yappy_dog.png having just the four sprite frames. Or at least a sprite sheet animals.png with consistent margins where I then have to pick out each pair of frames and convert to a single animation.

Lol yeah, I intended to make it either more self-explanatory or add a tutorial, but I underestimated the project in the end :/

Hmm. I hope I didn't leave a state where the final cutscene doesn't trigger. I rushed the game out because the game jam deadline was approaching. Once you have at least one guy reach the lever, there should be a cutscene where the president and adjutant discuss whether to pull the lever or not, and whatever decision you make should result in a couple more lines of dialogue and then a game over screen. But switching between scenes at the end was finnicky.

Beautiful tile set!

Thats a decision you make at the end of the game :D

Lol :D  I forgot there was also a meal replacement product with that name. I was referring to the old movie "Soylent Green" - anyway, I'm glad you got a laugh out of it

Thank you so much for the kind words!

Thank you so much! I was aiming for quirky/silly :D

It was fun, but I got stuck on the initial "press any button" screen for an embarrassing amount of time lol

Very interesting game!

I loved the atmosphere, it was stressful especially with the lack of health pickups, but when I finally got the vehicle I felt like an invincible badass :D

I enjoyed this a lot! I found it difficult to keep going when the ship started shaking, because it would take you out of whatever mini game you were in. But once I got the hang of it, I was able to survive a couple minutes :D

What a great game. It's hard to believe that you just started coding a few days before the jam - I wish I had that kind of talent!

I'm jealous of your art style!

I accidentally jumped out of the game world lol

Lol, thanks for the funny review.  I don't know exactly what it was either.  Next jam I'll try and make gameplay more intuitive

Thank you for the review! I agree on adding variety - I wanted to add some chasms and natural death traps, and also new buildings, but ran out of time :/  Glad you enjoyed it though!

Thank you for the kind words!

I like the concept a lot, and it plays well. But I'd love a key other than SHIFT to add friends, because if I pick up a lot of friends at once, Windows thinks I want sticky keys

Cool concept!

I used a couple of your songs for my BigMode '25 jam game: https://okday365.itch.io/soylent-power
