True enough!

Oh and also: interesting that your comment is that the changes will make it more hostile, I was actually going for less hostile. Or at least less a feeling that control is being taken from you like when a bat hits you and you go flying in the original game.

Thank for your thoughts!
Yeah I'm hoping that the latching on enemies won't be annoying but it's very possible...
Good question about the souls. I was thinking that you would keep unspent souls until you die. That way you can save up to spend on more expensive upgrades. Something I haven't decided on is that when you complete the hard ending, Tress still wants all those souls. Does she just hope you spend them all? Or take them from you? Or offer to take you home in exchange for your remaining souls? Because in my mind, Tress needs all the collected keys and all the souls to be freed.

I'm thinking I'll keep the design doc as it is and use side notes or something to fill it out or make changes as I find them necessary. That'll be maybe an interesting study from concept to reality.

Awesome! Thanks!

That's awesome to hear! Thanks!

Nice! Thank you! Yeah I'm keeping an open mind about where I could take it from here, if I take it further...

Cool thanks for trying it out again!

Haha yeah 100 is quite hectic to consider and can drag the game. I was kinda wondering if hectic processing of too much info would be a fun mechanic.

Combining spells: for sure! I think that would be a good direction to expand if I keep working on the game. There's just a little of that now: grass and fire, water and lightning, but it doesn't create a whole new spell type or effect which would be rad.

Dang! I'm sorry. It is supposed to be a noita inspired confusion but it sounds like it went too far. I reworked the 'how to play' section and added a practice mode.

Hey _r8 thanks! and sorry! haha.

I updated it to be more clear. Hopefully it helps

Super cool! Thanks! Yeah the human pattern matching ability is super interesting

So good! I got to level 9!

I see, yeah that is interesting. The game is set to scale in 2d stretch mode so the buttons should get bigger when the game gets bigger. But the html game is set to 1280x720 unless the full screen button is hit. So if your game was running at 720p, I can see how the buttons would be tiny

Sorry about that! The goal was to have the framerate get really low after around 30s. With more polish, I'd want to have the game respond to different computers and make sure that the game was playable at least for the first 10s.

Thanks though! I'm glad it made you laugh!

Hahaha I'm glad it made you laugh!

You got it! Thanks!

Haha I will take that as a compliment! Thanks!

Hi Indigo Beetle. Sorry about that! May I ask what resolution is your screen? Did you try hitting the full-screen button at the bottom right corner? By the way, the buttons at the bottom from left to right are: previous course, replay course, next course

Oh no really? It seems to work for me. I thought I selected the embed pck option..

Nice simple game with nice visuals! It looked good on my high refresh rate monitor too :)
Got a score of 33

Cool! That was what we were going for with the explosion mechanic

Thanks for the feedback! That's a fair point about the cursors :)

Thanks!! Yeah the cursors are supposed to move on their own to make it more difficult to teleport objects
