Thanks! Really appreciate the feedback -- floatiness is definitely *somewhat* intentional, but I still want things to feel smooth.

Thanks! Yeah, I think teaching the player what's going on would be helpful.
I was thinking of making an emotional story-based game where you had to separate your body in half to do tasks, but as I thought about how to do that I decided to go a bit simpler, but keep the idea of splitting yourself in half :)
I'll give your game a try!
Fun metroidvania-style platformer with one or two surprisingly tough jumps. Super gratifying to get my parts back and unlock new areas. There were a couple of moments where I had to trust that there would be some land at the end of my jump, which made me nervous, but the checkpoint system is forgiving enough that it wasn't a big deal if I landed in some spikes.
The idea behind this is clever, and opens up a lot of interesting puzzle possibilities based on the movement of the shoes. I'd love to see more obstacles or interactions if you build on the game -- maybe a button for one shoe to step on that opens up a different area for the other shoe to move into, or maybe the ability for a shoe to "kick" an object to clear a path. Good job!
Animations and cutscenes were so great, and the overall art design was very cool. Fun experience! My only issue (besides some blurry textures) was how easy it was to get stunlocked by the sawblades while skateboarding around. It became sort of a chain reaction once I got hit by one. That could be my own skill, though. Great job - a really good and memorable entry!
