Thanks for the feedback, I definitely will try and think of a way to speed up the rewind process while still keeping its charm . :D

Yeah, I was just bad so on my first two runs, I only got eight coins each time and since they're separated I had to go through another time to get the movement upgrade :p

I was just reading the other reviews and I saw the stuff about the music and how it affected the game. Honestly, I didn't even realize that happened but I think that's an awesome mechanic. I was wondering why the dudes weren't dropping anything anymore, really interesting mechanic. I would suggest making it a lot more obvious though because some of us (the blind folk) probably just glossed over wherever it was written. That might also resolve the movement speed issue because the runs would probably be shorter.

I really like the art in this game, it fits very well. I do think the camera panning could be better as someone else mentioned. I also thought that the game started a bit too slow, especially with the movement speed. It kind of made me want to stop playing because it was so sluggish. So I would suggest either increasing the base movement speed or reducing the price for it in the shop so you don't have to spend as much time without it. You did a really nice job!

If you have the time, I'd love to hear what you think of my submission. :D

Nice game, it was fun even though it wasn't necessarily super unique. The AI for the archers was pretty smart which I appreciate, though I think that if you added maybe obstacles in the terrain - lava, walls, etc. - it would force the player to change up their playstyle because I spent most of the game just kiting enemies and using the bow. It wasn't terribly unbalanced, and I liked that you forced the player to use the sword on the boss, but I think you could force that variety in playstyle more organically. Nice job :D

Super cute game! I loved the dialogue, style, and art. The gameplay was fun, if a bit simple, but everything fit very well together, especially the lady throwing shrimp :P Awesome work!

Awesome game! I think this just needs a few tweaks and it would be even better (be aware than some of these may just be nitpicks but I think you should consider tweaking them anyway). I think the deceleration of the character should be faster, though I may have just not played enough to get used to it. It was particularly apparent to me on, I think it was, the third level because I kept slipping off the one tile blocks. I really liked the implementation of the lightbulbs; they seemed extremely polished, also the art for them is super cute. My one complaint with the darkness and the lightbulbs was that whenever I turned around the motion of the first lightbulb was kind of jarring and felt a little bit too fast (probably the most nitpicky thing I have to say :p) I also think that the camera needs work for when the player turns around because even if they just tap the other direction button, the camera just sort of jerks into place. So camera tweaks, movement tweaks, and a lightbulb tweak. Other than that, the game was great and the implementation of the theme was very smooth. Thanks for making it! :D

Really fun game. I enjoyed the atmosphere a lot and the music was awesome. I appreciate the concept, it was definitely interesting but I think a couple more levels would have nicely fleshed out the uniqueness of the game. Overall, everything fit together well, the art, the environment, the gameplay, the theme; It works, so good job. One thing I'd like to mention is that it was definitely a bit confusing at first. I clicked the how to play and it kind of just went over my head. I mostly just figured it out by playing. One or two short introductory levels could have taken the wall of text's place and been a bit more engaging than puzzling out the first level. I understand that the lack of introduction was probably a result of the constraints of jam, even I suffered from the same problem. But yeah, awesome game and nice job. :D

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the game, especially the art style. The movement mechanic was extremely fun and satisfying. I do think that an adjustment of the hitboxes of the little things you bounce off to make them more lenient would make the game a lot more fun and allow you to create more complex levels while still being a moderate difficulty. I also think the camera could use some work, maybe making it stop at the bottom of the level so that it doesn't scroll all the way down when you die. The level design could also be improved, there are some blind jumps where its hard to tell where you need to aim yourself and that combined with the smallish hitboxes make some of the levels frustrating rather than fun. I also think that this concept might be better without the There and Back theme since linear levels might fit the mechanic better. If you're planning on continuing the development of this, which you should, you might want to give it a thought. I'd love to see more stuff that the hammer thing interacts with. Thanks for the game! And good luck! :D

Thank you! I'll definitely look into adding a jump buffer, I completely forgot that games had those when I was making it lol. Thanks for the feedback :D
