Thanks for playing, I guess we are both victims of bad RNG!
Glad you had fun :)
Good game, the interactions were adorable and the lore that was added already was interesting.
Trying to get them to max can be a little tedious, I'd look for a way to do more and in my run Cael lagged behind due to bad RNG and trying to wait for Cael to come up while the other 3 were maxed was a challenge.
The other part is, some of the cakes and drinks were very close in colour and while I assume this was meant as a challenge, this is more of an accessibility issue. I'd look for another way to add a challenge to preparing recipes such as timed events or lacking ingredients rather than colour.
Overall I had a good time! Great entry.
A nice platformer and the art was really done well. A bit more polish with the platformer and making the controls a bit tighter would have made the game feel a lot better. In addition making the bow shoot a projectile that wasn't tied to the player would have been nice and a bit more damage, for the most part, I didn't really have a use for the bow.
Some particle effects, screenshake and more sound effects would have also brought up the polish on this game.
I hope to see more from the team.
I do like tower defense games. It was interesting to come up with the best path to get maximum use out of my towers. I ended up sitting on a spiral like path and then a snake like path so the enemies would double back on themselves. I did run into an interesting problem where if I spawned the onion on the purple spawner, it would create a tonne of lag in the game.
It would be cool to add some additional tower attack types in the game!
It was a nice game. The background was nice and the way you got the cart working along the tracks was very cool. I did notice the more you reset the game the further the miners heads separated from their bodies which I thought was interesting. It would be nice if we also recorded how far we got, or how long we survived for.
Good job!
