I do think mention of streamers being the judges at the start would might have helped. I think Thor didn't want the wrong motivations to join the jam that's all.
I think "C*mbucket" is a good lesson yes, have you ever released a game on steam? Unironically typical normal gamejam judges do NOT reflect the real feeling of releasing a game. You get destroyed on steam for every little thing, even when you are right.
There are 234535 other jams that can provide a safe space with positive opinion, I like that this one will highlight the entertainment section of dealing with streamers, which can be a big part of having your game successful.
For example, I know our game will get shiton for the fullscreen default and no settings. Even tho it's a gamejam, I know we will lose points for that one... has nothing to do with the "game" but it reflects the overall experience of it.
