Thanks for the feedback!

Spoilers below

You’re right about it being the intended path. You can use your E to wait at the start, then hold the E you picked up to open both gates at the end.

Really interesting puzzler. Explained it’s mechanics really well and then presented a lot of interesting levels with great eureka moments. Really appreciated how quick and easy it was to restart the level when I misstepped.

Really interesting seeing someones else’s take on the same idea. Everything was very well telegraphed and the overall art, music and theme work really well.

The level and mechanic designs were interesting and well done. Though Highcastle was just mean :’D and I woulda appreciated some hang-time to on Without Hesitation.

Really enjoyed it, one of the best I’ve played so far!

Procedural level generation was an interesting addition. Enjoyed how it gave the ‘puzzle’ element a different kind of spin, where perfect solutions weren’t the objective just quick ones that avoided pitfalls. Kinda addictive. With one or two additional simple mechanics I could see myself really getting lost in it.

There was something really heartbreaking seeing the backlog of books considering how moments before I was thinking ‘someone get this poor person a new book!’ Hit a little too close to him.

Really interesting exploration of our current times, surprised I haven’t seen more games like this - I guess everyone else is trying to escape it! Very well put together too.

Very cute. Enjoyed the music, art and overall theme a lot.

Would have enjoyed if I had a little more control over the bullets - as weird as that is to say. Maybe just the option to spawn bullets (moving randomly) myself so I could increase the chaos myself?

Well done overall!

Loved the art, music and overall theme. Especially the idea of signally with the different smoke colours.

It felt like a fun blend of puzzle solving and a minimalist fighting game where I’m relying on muscle memory to hit combos quickly. Well done!

Would have loved if the game auto-restarted the level quickly after I died - got a little frustrating having to use the mouse to play and a single key to restart.

Mechanics were well introduced, levels were challenging but interesting. Enjoyed the music and the overall theme.

Great job!

Thank you for the feedback! I’m glad you enjoyed it - maybe I will try explore it a little more in the future.

Just dripping with style and polish - really impressive for a game jam. The story was cute and I liked how it was used to explain the mechanics. Puzzle levels were interesting and well designed. Well done!

Thank you for the feedback!

The strange behavior is probably a result of me making an unintuitive choice. If you’re holding down multiple movement keys at once you’ll try moves in the order of Up, Right, Down, Left. It made sense to me, but I don’t think I ever specifically did anything to teach the player that - but I did end up making it a key part of solving some of the later levels. So a bit of a misstep from me.

Thank you for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks you for the feedback!

Playtesting showed that some people just didn’t get how the mechanics worked, so I made the first levels really simple to try and make them understandable. The later levels are a big step up in complexity

Really really good. Thorough use of the mechanics explored in well designed levels. You really got a lot out of a single button and a rotating platform. Enjoyed the level names too. I’m not really good at games like this, but I just had to keep going till I finished this one.

The art and overall theme were great too.

Really fun concept. The just-in-control hecticness and tactical elements were really enjoyable. It was very satisfying to come up with solutions like creating corridors to channel new enemies through.

It didn’t really feel possible to avoid enemies, just maybe to kite them into a nearby bullet. I would have maybe appreciated a little time between being invincible/spawning and charging at me.

The art was clean and worked really well.

Loved it - The theme, art and music are all great. It’s a very cathartic game to play.

Well done overall, I enjoyed it.

Loved the music and art.

It felt weird to sometime have to avoid the door to try and get all the pickups. It was also weird to have to avoid the black arrows to avoid spending additional pickups by bumping into them again. Though it adds to the chaos - which does fit the theme quite nicely.

Really enjoyed it.

I loved the fact that I secretly had control over the panic through my own movements. Suits the theme really well, same as the final level.

Great job!

(1 edit)

Loved it.

The premise is interesting and the mechanics used to explore it were intriguing and easy to understand. The art conveyed exactly what I needed to know and also looked great.

The stuck detection was a really nice touch.

Great job - my favourite game I’ve play so far.

Thank you for the feedback!

The E key issue is really unfortunate - not sure why that’s happening. You can restart at any time with Escape!

Great idea! I enjoyed the art and music. The possession is a little buggy (sometimes I’d control both or neither character), but overall I really enjoyed the hecticness having to tuck an enemy away somewhere quickly while my body careens into the next room.

Enjoyed it - but wish there were a couple more challenging theaters! Good job

Sometimes a quick press uses up the key without performing the action - try holding it in for long enough for the door to open.

Thanks for letting me know! There was a problem with the hosting - it’s been fixed now.

Think a lot of others have given some good feedback about knowing where your throw is going and restarting/undoing - but I just wanted to say I really enjoyed it!

The swimming movement was great and it made exploring really fun.

Loved the theme, would have enjoyed playing some more complex levels.

Looks great, but the controls are a little weird!

Great game, really impressed with how polished the portal mechanics felt considering it’s a game jam!

I loved it! Put a big smile on my face. Also great to see another Godot game.
