As mentioned on the project’s page, you can try the web build at https://patrickode.github.io/Roll-the-Dyes/; it’s entirely identical to the downloadable version, WebGL was just unkind and kept the web build from being uploaded on time.

It’s good to remember I’m not immune to this (https://twitter.com/KirbyKid/status/1289806138922250240?s=20), thanks. 😅

I could learn a thing or two from a game this gracefully simple. It’s addicting and I had to actually pull myself away from it to rate / comment.

Literally my only potential issue is that it took me a bit to realize you have to click on the difficulty to change it.

For anyone else reading this, I highly recommend playing on Impossible once or twice. It’s crazy.

You know the jam game is good when it’s got speedrun tech.

Great idea and good execution to boot. The little touches like the caretakers’ eyes turning red in rage at the sight of young gramps make it even better.

When I got to the end of the first stage with the pink caretakers, there wasn’t a transition, I just went offscreen. I tried reloading and playing through again, and it still happened. I’m not sure if that’s broken, or if it just ends like that.

I liked this a lot!

In level 3, I couldn’t move up on the red platform by rewinding, maybe it was moving too fast; I got through by wedging myself inside the red platform and then rewinding, which took me up with it. I doubt that was intentional, but it was a good puzzle!

The little things like the screen effects and animation go a long way.

I had a good time with this one! I even got a little stuck on a few puzzles, mostly because I was overthinking.

Some minimal lerp animation would make this already good game even better. Nice job 👌

Yeah, it’s a shame the WebGL build doesn’t work. I don’t know why…

As a hint for stage 3, when you rewind to a point you recorded, you keep your speed from before rewinding. (I didn’t have time to make a robust tutorial)

Yeah, I noticed the difficulty spike when I was hastily making these levels on the final day. 😅

This game is a good time. It took me a bit to figure out I was supposed to use the mouse to make the blocks move, but it was fun once I figured it out.
