Thank you for sharing all this. For my game, I was making a bullet-hell plugin and was looking for ways fo optimize it. This devlog was very helpful in that regard. Thank you so much. Even with compatibility mode, integrated GPU and no multithreading, I’m getting around 240 FPS with 2.5k bullets now (i was getting less than 80 before this)
Yeah, with the current control scheme, i had to multiply the speed ıf the ball by like 4. It works most of the time but shooting very far is enough to reach game-breaking speeds. Also, if you’re too close to the edge of the screen, you can’t gain that much speed since the distance you can drag the cursor is very limited. Probably a set speed for any direction would be better. Maybe I might improve upon this concept in the future, and if I do, I already have a lot of changes in mind. Thanks.
You. Are. A. Legend.
For those who don’t know, Bcat is a frickin’ wizard. He makes these games with graphics that objectively suck, but it still impresses the hell outta people that play them for just how utterly insane and deranged the mechanics are. If you like puzzle games, you absolutely have to play them right now. This guy deserves way, way more attention.
11/10. This is yet another banger from Bcat, without a doubt. Mark has to see this.
Cool idea, loved it! You have to predict where the player will end up jumping from and to if you don’t wanna just brute-force it, and that way it’s way more enjoyable. It’s kinda annoying that you need to go to the pause menu to restart, and every time you do that the blocks’ positions get reset. Other than that, I really enjoyed it. Good work.
