What I mean with a consistent theme is if you have a gun and you're shooting the trash and the intention is to shoot it then maybe go in more on the concept of shooting it. Maybe hava a theme on the character or something that makes it so that the norm in the world is to shoot garbage.  For example an aqua man with a piranha launcher that eats the trash. It can be something way simpler but just anything that builds to the concept. For your game you had a ghost that shoots trash. If it is important to the story then build a bit more on why it is a ghost shooting the garbage etc. :)

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your comment and I'm glad for all the nice feedback. It can be seen as an anti-game but this is what most games are now. ;)

I enjoyed the art and the music was really nice. Would've liked it to become harder as you go. Hitting a frog so that it is left on the screen and still does damage I'm not sure if that is intended. But good potential!

I liked the omnious feel of the game, with the evil looking urchins and the aery music. I felt the movement was maybe a tad bit slow and the power ups might need some tweaking. But overall enjoyable experience!

I really like the color choices and the music goes hard. The fluidity of your controls feel nice too! Would be even more banger with maybe some powerups or different enemies but overall really clean first game :)

Fire speed go brrr I lajk

Ty for the nice comment :) Gacha game companies might be onto something!

Reminds me a bit of doodle jump and the constant thought about the water coming after you fall makes it super fun and a bit stressful. I like how the rocks change color as you go up but I would like some more indication!

Fun game was addicting.

Hell yee leeets gooo

You know... ads keep the world spinning. Without them we are hollow!

Really nice artstyle. The controls felt really responsive and it was fun to understand which fish dealt dmg and such.

I like being fish and flapping.

I really liked the concept and artsy feel of potraying a phobia. I think the actual gameplay couldve been a bit different and the character less immersion breaking and I think this wouldve been a real nice piece.

I didn't really understand how to eat but the concept and music was indeed banger.

For being a very simple game it for sure delivered a lot. Was super enjoyable with the art style. I think having some sounds would've definitely upped the experience but overall super fun.

The animations went dummy, struggled a bit with how to eat the seamen but it was a super fun concept.

Fun game, the sounds made it super enjoyable.

I really liked the setting and color choices. Really felt like a relaxing and genuine conversation!

I like the idea of as little garbage as possible in the ocean. Would've maybe liked a bit more of a consistent theme. The game was super fun though and the extra with level up was nice!

Super enjoyable game, would like it to be a bit more clear where you can go through as the fish but overall super fun, especially when being eaten by the shark.

Fun idea to have water exploring and I enjoyed the collission with the fish :)

The idea was good and enjoyable to be a squid. Core mechanics need a bit of tweaking and a few bugs when going to the next level.

I liked the idea of the game and that it felt very interactive.  Good sound making me feel more immersed.

Glad you liked the game! Unfortunately there is no ending to loot boxes.

We had submitted before the time but I think editing the submission put us out? First jam so a bit unsure :) Would like to submit late if needed.
