Thank you for playing the game! And thank you for the feedback in the video, especially around the pixelart shadows - definitely useful stuff for me as a beginner in that area.
I'm glad you enjoyed the joke - I was placing all the tiles for the trees by hand and ran out of time with about an hour before the deadline, and it was quicker to code in some dialogue :P
Yea, I can't seem to work out what's causing it, but it seems to be related to tilemaps in Godot (I had the same issue with a platformer I put together). I'll have to see if I can fix if I continue development of this game, or for future games.
