Thank you for playing the game! And thank you for the feedback in the video, especially around the pixelart shadows - definitely useful stuff for me as a beginner in that area.
The pixel art was charming and delivering mail was fun. The concept is good and it fits the theme well.
Hope you learned stuff on pixel art !
This reminded me of collecting items in the Nintendo DS Pokémon games, I can picture this game with an expansive story and mystery, all while you operate as a postal worker! (I loved the "Some trees don't look right" next to the messed up forest area, that actually made me laugh).
Thanks!
I'm glad you enjoyed the joke - I was placing all the tiles for the trees by hand and ran out of time with about an hour before the deadline, and it was quicker to code in some dialogue :P
Liked the game, it was pretty cool. There was a bug where the vertical lines between tiles could be seen, especially the water tiles. Was still super fun though!
Thank you for the feedback! :)
Yea, I can't seem to work out what's causing it, but it seems to be related to tilemaps in Godot (I had the same issue with a platformer I put together). I'll have to see if I can fix if I continue development of this game, or for future games.
good foundation of a game. good job
As you wrote yourself the game is at a very early stage, but I like the art style and the controls are nicely implemented.
